Chapter: Songfic

Integra lay dozing on her large empty bed. False patterns could be read from the long, tangled blond hair. The sun had long since given the firmament the blood-red kiss of the passing day and made room for the joyful herald of the night. This shone brightly through the magnificent window that adorned her room. From the peacefully resting shadows, a figure slowly came together. Somewhere between dream and reality, it seemed, she had made her way into Integra's room. The long red coat snuggled gently around Alucard's legs while he dared to take the last step out of the protective darkness. Suddenly it seemed as if the last silver moonlight had given way in awe. Darkness joined Intagra. Actually, the undead roommate wanted to talk to her. But he didn't have the heart. It was too peaceful.
Come here and listen to my voiceI have something to explain to you
do you hear the heart in my chest
watch out i like you ...
A smile crossed his face. As silently as it had come, it disappeared again.

Don't know exactly when it happened
an indescribable moment
I looked at you and moved inside of me
a feeling that burns ...

When the old vampire was about to turn to his protégé, an excited Walter caught him in the imposing entrance hall.
"The news has just arrived that ghouls are up to mischief again. Not far from here in an old abandoned warehouse in the industrial area. I will report to Lady Hellsing immediately, you better tell Selas." Before Alucard die Having an opportunity to answer, Walter hurried towards the stairs.
Integra was startled when Walter loudly opened the door. Her heart beat faster for a moment, she didn't like this facial expression, it didn't bode well and she knew it."What happened?" asked the still slightly irritated lady of the house.
"Guhle. The annoying subject. This time there should really be a lot. They have nested in an empty warehouse.", Walter explained in a relaxed tone, or at least he tried to.
"It can't be that many, there can't be enough Guhle in a warehouse to impress me.", Thundered from the door frame. A little relieved, Intergra looked at her hand-tame vampire.

From then on kept me close to you,
it’s up to you when disaster threatens,
chased away shadows and problems,
kept watch until dawn ...

"I'll take care of it, together with Selas, you need practice.", He mumbled and disappeared again.
"You heard it from Walter, so there is no reason to mobilize the troops." With a yawn, she sealed her decision not to do anything else and to leave the Alucard.
"But what if -" Walter wanted to add, but then held back:"As you wish!" Something in the back of his stomach told him something was wrong. But what was it that bothered him so much?

Alucard set off with Selas and plenty of ammunition. When they got there, he realized that Walter wasn't an understatement. It was really an overwhelming warehouse, with associated administration and other buildings that served as accommodation for the guhlen. It wasn't really difficult for the deadly team. Just a little lengthy as there seemed to be no end. But Alucard and Selas thinned the ranks without any problems. It just took a lot of time. An unusually long time. But they didn't really realize it during the frenzy of the fight. After the last unpleasant contemporary was sent to hell, the team victoriously started their way home.
But the peaceful Hellsing estate wasn't waiting for them. Chaos and death should be their new hosts. Corpses paved the way up to the house.Shots tore apart the screams that echoed loudly through the night. For a brief moment Alucard watched the horror spectacle in disbelief. Selas stormed off immediately. How could that be, he had sworn ...
A thought leap later he had already overtaken the Miss Policewoman. Regardless of the many fates that were now spread out on the floor in the house, his legs carried him with an inhuman speed. With a slight squeak he opened the door to Integra's rooms. There she lay, the long blond hair in a confused place. The white blouse soaked in blood. Her eyes were rigid and dull. Slowly he leaned over her. Time seemed to stand still around him. He saw it but couldn't understand it. Integra was dead. A bullet had killed the last heir to the Hellsing legacy. He stared at her face. Small red drops spread over the pale skin.Alucard wept, he wept tears of blood.

So it went for many years,
the storm is already raging painfully in me,
close yourself in my arms in a dream,
while I pledge allegiance to you ...

Rain pelts mercilessly on the freshly poured grave. The cemetery was lit only dimly by a few lanterns. Alucard's things had long been soaked. Since the night had started, he stood and stared at the dreary tombstone. He had wanted to say that much more. But now it was over. Serious accusations slowly ate him away. If he had woken her up then, talked to her, then he would certainly have stayed with her and would only have sent Selas. He still wanted to give her something. Alucard got down on his knees and buried his hands in the ground. It became more and more painful for him to realize that he had missed all opportunities that he had. What hurt even more was the realization that he had an eternity to think about it.He couldn't wait for a redeeming death. With trembling hands he took something out of his coat. Briefly he held it gently in his fingers and smiled lovingly at it. It was a gold ring. How long he had been carrying it around with him, he no longer knew. In fact, that was why he wanted to talk to her that evening. Bloody tears gathered in his eyes again. Slowly he put the ring on Integra's final resting place and then disappeared again into the night.

[i]You see what I have, beautiful
do you want this ring from me?
Put it on and then say
"Yes, from now on I belong to you!"
