I don't want to make a long preface, just start reading! ^^
Moving into Lindenhof
"It's always the same fuss when we return to Lindenhof after the holidays," said Hanni, beaming with delight. She had just stretched the fresh sheet over the bed. Now she dropped back left on it and kicked her legs in the air. Out of sheer joy to be back at boarding school, which was just as much her home as the real home with her parents.
Nanni and Anja, the twins' roommate, laughed. Anja laughed out loud, Nanni giggled with her mouth closed. Anja had bought caramel candies, homemade ones, from the holidays with Bobby and her parents. Unfortunately, cooked caramel candies usually have one unpleasant property: they are tough and stick to the teeth. NAnni had taken two at once. Now she had to atone for her greed. She couldn't pull her teeth apart. She would have liked to ask Anja if she had put a little uhu in the caramel mixture, but not even that was possible. So she silently licked caramel from her teeth, tried to chew and swallow caramel and in between giggled at her sister, at the candy and at herself.
The room of the three girls looked like a break-in. An hour ago Hanni and Nanni had started to unpack. Anja had already arrived the day before, she had put her things in the closet, neatly as always. The twins' suitcases lay open on the floor. Besides everything that belongs to two boarding school girls: swimsuit, tennis racket, gym shoes, books, drawing pads and painting boxes, two glasses with preserved blackberries from the garden, a Gugelhupf from Aunt Mia, holiday photos and and and ... Nannis hung over the lamp Raincoat, socks and pink and white striped panties piled high on the desk. It was cheap in the summer sale.Hanni's twitches of enthusiasm slowly subsided. She straightened up, shook her hair from her face and said: "So, isn't it just great to be here again?"
The other two nodded. Then Nanni finally managed to break the caramel barrier of her teeth and said, albeit a little indistinctly: "Of course it's great. As always. Thank God! There are supposed to be people who cry when the holidays are over and they have to go back to boarding school! "
Susanne, neighbor's daughter and child friend of the twins, had almost salty the pear cake with her tears on the last afternoon.
"But wa sanderes ....", Nanni continued. Her gaze wandered over the chaos they had created. "Do any of you know how to fix this mess before dinner gongs?"
"Not me," said Hanni with a shrug.
"I do," shouted Anja. "If we hurry, we'll just make it. Come on, get ready! Hanni go to your closet, Nanni goes to hers.I unpack and throw everything to you, you admit. First: five pairs of socks for Hanni. Catch! "
Hanni caught them and stuffed them into a compartment.
"Don't stuff, give away", Anja reprimanded her and grinned.
"I always stuff the back," explained Hanni. "Nobody sees it."
"Second: gym shoes for Nanni. Two pajamas, on for Nanni. Another five pairs of socks for Hanni ....."
Anja didn't aim well enough and a sock flew through the window.
"I'll get it tomorrow," said Hanni unmoved, "nobody steals it. Go on, Anja, you're doing great."
"Pleated skirt for Nanni, jeans for Hanni, heating pads .... for whom? And why?"
Nanni laughed.
"Dad gave us this after we told him about the midnight feasts and their consequences. He laughed himself half to death. And then said that a heating pad on his stomach might be good the day after."
When the house mother made her rounds, she was speechless. After all, she knew her girl. The room was perfectly tidy, the beds were made, only a forgotten pink and white striped slip dangling from the window handle."I know that you are tidy Anja," she said. "But Hanni and Nanni, what's wrong with you, are you sick?"
She laughed and the girls laughed too.
"We're fine," explained Nanni. "No fever or something. Not even a real delirium. But Anja applied one disaster plan, as you can see ... it works."
The housemother nodded in satisfaction and took the caramel candy that Nanniihr had offered.
"Very good Anja. Have your method patented." She left and Nanni wondered if the caramel would stick to her teeth as it did to hers. At least he didn't do it right away. Because they heard the housemother in the next room scold: "What are you actually thinking? That looks like ....., how ...." She couldn't find a suitable word. Carlotte willingly helped her out: "Like a pigsty two minutes to midnight."
The housemother hesitated, slightly confused.
"Pig stall, yes that's what I was about to say ....., just why two minutes before midnight?"Carlotta blinked at her happily. "I don't know myself. But I'll remember by tomorrow morning. Then I'll tell you."
The house mother laughed. "Well, fine. But first make an effort. I'll be back after dinner."
"Yes, housemaid," said Carlotta, who, as usual, had the big say while her friends laughed to herself. "We'll give each other a kick in the buttocks, and then ....."
The house mother had left. Nanni had overheard the conversation and with secret pleasure noticed that the house mother's voice sounded stickier with every sentence .....
So that's it for now, I really tried hard to write this, for the things in the boarding school, I picked up a book, I don't earn any money with it and have no rights ..
