So, dear people, here's something new. I would like to anticipate, however, that the following story is not mine! I don't know its author and that pains me a lot because it's one of the most beautiful stories / metaphors I've ever read. But it's so beautifully written that I really don't want to withhold it from anyone. But if anyone knows who the author is, please let me know.
Otherwise, I apologize for posting something without the author's consent. If you read it, however, you will understand my decision.
So have fun reading and browsing! You will experience a delight for the senses, I promise you! ^^
Your night owl
The game of madness. A nice metaphor.
It is said that all people's feelings and qualities had a meeting. When boredom yawned for the third time, madness suggested, as always very cleverly:"Let's play hide and seek!"
The intrigue raised an eyebrow, and curiosity could no longer hold back and asked, "Hide? What is it?"
"This is a game," said madness. "I hide my face and start counting, from one to a million. In the meantime you are hiding. When I finish counting, the first of you I find will take my place to continue the game afterwards."
The enthusiasm and euphoria danced with joy. The joy made so many jumps that she took the last step to convince the doubt and even the indifference, which otherwise had no interests, took part. But not all wanted to participate: the truth preferred not to hide, why? In the end they would always be discovered and the pride felt that it was a stupid game (basically he was annoyed that the idea didn't come from him) and the cowardice preferred not to risk it.
"One .., two ...., three ... four ....", the madness began to count. The first to hide was indolence, which, as always, let itself fall behind the first stone. Faith rose to the sky and jealousy hid behind the shadow of triumph that had made it to the top of the tree on its own. The generosity barely managed to hide, believing in all the hiding places that she found, she had found a wonderful hiding place for one of her friends.
A crystal clear lake .. .. ideal for beauty.
The crack in a tree ..... ideal for fear.
The flight of a butterfly ...., the best for lust.
A gust of wind ....., great for freedom ..... and she hid on a ray of sunshine.
Egoism, on the other hand, found a very good place right from the start, airy, cozy ..... but only for itself. The lie was hiding in the bottom of the sea (not true, in reality it was hiding behind the rainbow). The passion and the desire in the center of the volcano.Forgetfulness ... I forgot where it was hiding, but that doesn't matter. When the madness numbered 999.999, love had not yet found a hiding place. All the seats seemed to be taken ... until she saw the rose bush and decided, moved, to hide in its blossoms.
"A million," counted the madness and began to search. The first to be discovered was indolence, just three paces from the first stone. Then one heard the faith discussing theology with God in heaven. Passion and desire could be heard vibrating in the volcano. In a careless moment, he found jealousy and, of course, triumph. He didn't need to look for egoism, he came out of his hiding place all alone, which turned out to be a bee's nest. He felt thirsty from running so much, and as he approached the lake, he discovered its beauty. With the doubt it was even easier, he found him sitting on a fence, unable to decide which side to hide on.So he found one after the other. The talent behind the fresh grass, the fear in a dark cave, the lie behind the rainbow (not true, she was on the ocean floor) and even the forgetfulness ... that had already forgotten that she was playing hide and seek. Only love did not appear anywhere. The madness searched behind every tree, in every stream on this planet, on every mountain and when it was about to give up, it saw the roses. He began to move the branches with a stick when suddenly there was a painful scream. The thorns had gouged out love's eyes. The madness was helpless and did not know how to make amends for what it had done. He cried, apologized to her and promised love to be her companion forever.
Since that time, since hide and seek was played for the first time on earth, love has been blind and madness has always been its companion.
