Disclaimer: Haruka and Michiru do not belong to me (unfortunately!) But as most of them know Naoko Takeuchi. The idea with the monastery came to me when I saw "The Real Blair Witch Project - 48 hours of fear".
Chapter 1 The Arrival:
Behind a young woman with aquamarine hair, the gates of the Lucedio monastery closed. She turned around again and looked at the locked gate.
There is no way back. Eyes shut and go for it. You wanted the job and now you have to do it.
The young woman sighed and followed the abbot, who was to show her where to put her things and where to sleep."Come to my room in twenty minutes. There I will tell you everything else."
The addressed nodded and the abbot disappeared. She looked around the small room. It was very simple. A small table and chair in one corner and a bed on the opposite side. The room also had a small window with worn curtains. The woman sighed again.
Great ... That looks really inviting.
She put her bag in a corner and then sat down at the little table. On this stood a candle and a bowl.
What did you think Michiru? That comes off again when you are too curious.
She shakes her head and sighs for probably the thousandth time. It really wasn't a good idea to want to come here. But she wanted to get to the bottom of the rumors. And that's why she had to come here. Michiru looked at her watch and got up slowly, as she should be in the abbot's room in five minutes. She left her room and went to find the abbot's room.
That is impossible! Now you can't even find the room!
After another ten minutes of searching, she finally found the room in question.
Why didn't I ask about the room right away? But I had to look for it on my own first. I have it now. I'm way too late.
She knocked on the door and it was opened immediately. Michiru hesitantly entered the room. She looked around. The room was completely different from hers. It was a lot bigger and a door led into another room, which was probably the abbot's bedroom. In the room where Michiru was now there was a window and in the middle was a desk. There were several shelves on the walls.
The room is much bigger than mine! And the bed is sure to be a lot softer too! But what am I complaining about. After all, it's the abbot's room.Michiru looked at the abbot, who was sitting at the desk and was looking at some papers.
"You are late Miss KaiƓh."
The abbot wrote something on one of the pieces of paper. He had probably just written down that Michiru was late.
"I'm sorry. But I couldn't find your room."
The abbot looked up from the papers.
"All right. Since you have only just come to us, I want to turn a blind eye. But if that happens again, you will be punished for it."
Michiru nodded.
"All right. I got that."
"Good. Then we come to what I brought you here for in the first place. There are certain rules in this monastery that everyone must obey. Any violation of these rules will be punished immediately."
Michiru nodded again.
"You will be at breakfast at exactly 7 am. If you come later, you will not get anything. Nobody leaves your room after 9 am. You will also help with the rice breakdown. After all, they should also do something to ensure that they are allowed to be here. "
"All right. I'll do that."
Now the abbot nodded.
"Good. Then that was it for the time being. You can now take a look around the monastery garden. The monks will be happy to answer questions. See you again."
The abbot looked at his papers again.
Michiru stood undecided in the room for a moment. She seemed lost in thought. Until the abbot's voice tore them from them.
"You're still here."
Michiru winced imperceptibly.
She just nodded wordlessly and then turned to leave.
Well, that's going to be a really great time.
She sighed for the thousandth time for sure. She moved away from the building in which the abbot lived. Michiru wanted to make his way to the garden after all. Because she would spend some time there now. She also wanted to look around afterwards. After all, she didn't want to get lost again. She had to be inconspicuous if she was to track down the rumors. That was the only reason why she went through all of this in the first place. She wanted to know if the monastery was really that cruel. After a short time Michiru reached the garden. He was in a kind of courtyard. There was a building on either side. A small path led to the chicken coops on the left. Several monks were working here. Apparently the only thing they grew here was rice. In one part of the garden there were a few shady trees. Michiru went to them and sat on a bench that was below. For a while she watched the monks at work. From the next day she would have to be here too, helping with the rice cultivation. She didn't really feel like doing it. She came from a big city and wasn't used to doing things like that at all. But she had to deal with it, willy-nilly. Because she didn't want any trouble. After all, she had also heard rumors of very harsh and cruel punishments. The abbot had also mentioned that he would punish the monks and now Michiru without hesitation. Michiru looked at the monks. They were of completely different ages. There were a few quite young and some who were getting on in years. But none of them looked like he was going to endure harsh punishments or anything like that. Apparently they were so scared of these punishments that they tried very hard to get everything right. She let her gaze wander further through the garden. Her gaze caught on a blond boy who had just come out of the chicken coops. He was still quite young. Maybe about Michiru's age. It seemed to Michiru that something was different about him. He passed near her and she realized that he was very pale. Maybe he was the person she could find out more about the monastery from. Apparently the boy had noticed her looks because he stopped and looked at her.For a moment the eyes of the two met. Michiru could look into his eyes for a moment and what she saw there frightened her slightly. His dark green eyes were completely blank. They did not reflect feelings at all. Or did it just seem like that to Michiru. The boy immediately averted his gaze and left the garden. Probably to go to his room or to do some other task. Michiru imperceptibly shook his head. She must have been wrong. Those eyes scared her a little. Such a young person and then those eyes. Michiru just thought about it. The whole thing seemed strange to her. She finally decided to just speak to him next time. She was sure that they would meet several more times. The monastery was large and there were many monks living here, but a feeling told her that they would see each other again. Sooner or later. Michiru was sure of that. After a while, where she just sat quietly and thought, she got up and wanted to have a look around after all.She would have enough time for that in the next few days. But maybe she hoped to see this boy again. But he didn't meet Michiru again.
Shortly before 9 a.m. she made her way back to her room. When she passed a room near Michirus, she suddenly stopped. She thought she heard whimpers or sobs from the room. For a moment she just stood there and looked at the door. Then she shook her head. She must have been mistaken. Michiru went back to her room. When she entered the room was completely dark. You could almost no longer see the hand in front of your eyes. Michiru slowly felt his way to her bed. Once there, she sat on it. It was very hard. She was probably cursing herself for the thousandth time choosing to come here. But none of that made any sense. She changed quickly and lay down. But she couldn't really sleep yet.Her thoughts still revolved around the boy she had only met briefly today. There was something different about him. Michiru was sure of that. The only question was what. She puzzled over it for a while until she finally fell asleep. Before that, however, she had set herself an alarm clock. Because she didn't want to be late for breakfast.
