Result: 1 fight for the soul part 1

Once upon a time, on a sultry summer evening, in a small village surrounded by forests, there lived a 16 year old boy who was about to embark on the journey of his life. He has long dark blonde hair, blue eyes and is 1.80 m tall. His name was Adam Parker. Adam was the most famous boy in the village. He only had one dream: the title "King of the Games". Adam was already the best of the village and knew that there was still a long way to go.
In his garden he put together his deck. His preferred deck type were Warrior-Type monsters, especially Elemental Heroes. He had the idea with the elementary heroes from a young duel academy student who was quite successful with it. His name was Jaden Yuki. Adam's friends preferred Zane Truesdale but that has subsided in the last few days. The reason for this was Zane's embarrassment against a duelist named Edo Phoenix, who also had a penchant for heroes. It was very unusual for an idyllic village to watch the Pro-League duels.Adam thought and thought, but with so many good warriors, it's hard to put together a 40 card deck. Tomorrow he is facing a great journey. He drives Link City in the big city for two reasons: 1. He wanted to visit his pen pal Jodie and 2. He wanted to take part in a big tournament for which he qualified. Visiting Jodie was a priority for Adam. He is very shy because of that he never had a girlfriend. In her last letter there was a great supplement for him. A card called "Warrior Lady of the Wasteland". Adam hadn't forgotten this card when he made the deck.
"OK, now the D.D.Assailant in and done," thought Adam and looked proudly at his finished deck. His suitcase was already packed, as was the backpack, only his Duel Disk (Battle City-Duel Disk) still had to be put in. Otherwise he was prepared for the challenges that await him.
The next morning, after his parents said goodbye to him, Adam went to the nearest kiosk, got the Duel magazine, candy and a newspaper that he had noticed because of the front page."Edo Phoenix beaten by Slifer Red student - Flare Neos brought sensation". Adam knew who this student was and got a big happy grin. Was that satisfaction for Zane? But he didn't care, Adam would soon want to see it for himself anyway, because all famous duelists of the Pro League take part in this tournament. That was also what was so appealing about it.
An announcement was made: "To all passengers, the train to Link City will arrive on platform 2 in 5 minutes." In 5 minutes, the train would come that would take Adam to the track and to his future girlfriend. It was one of the most exciting moments in Adam's life.
On the train he was sitting in an abbey and that was all for him. So he could enjoy the peace and quiet and watch the landscape that passed him.
Then there was something that disturbed Adam's rest. An announcement from the conductor, but he thought wrong! It was a train hijacking. Adam heard a woman screech. He didn't know what to do, he only knew one thing: keep calm!But then dark figures came into his abbey and wanted to loot his things. They came with knives. Adam had no idea until he saw the Duel Disk in his backpack. He buckled her around his left arm and brought her into fighting position. Adam pulled the top card from his deck "Mataza the Zapper" and placed it on his Duel Disk. Mataza attacked the two and killed them. Then the leader, a terrifying, sinister guy, came and said, "What do we have here. A duelist! My master will be delighted." He put his gloved hand on Adam's head and teleported with him on the roof of the car. The sinister guy grabbed his pitch-black Dueldisk and Adam already knew what to do: To get safely he has to kill this guy. Adam and the sinister guy shouted at the same time: "Duel !!!!"

The dark guy made the 1st move. He played Shadow Cloud alpha (ATK800 DEF800) in attack mode and ended his turn.Adam made a safe impression and summoned elemental hero Avian also in attack mode (ATK1000 DEF 1000) and thus attacked the shadow cloud.

Finally Adam played a card face down. The sinister guy remained unimpressed and said that the shadows were invincible and would strengthen each other. As would be the case on his next move. He removed shadow cloud alpha from the game and so he could call shadow cloud beta (ATK1000 DEF1000) this monster had the special ability for every shadow cloud monster that was removed from the game gets an additional 500ATK. He attacked Avian with it, but unsuccessfully. Adam still had a face down trap card "thwart attack". Finally, the dark guy placed a card face down on the field. It was Adam's turn and called "Elemental Hero Sparkman" in attack mode (ATK1600 DEF1400) and wanted to destroy his monster, but then the dark guy activated his trap card. "Robbing Darkness" he was able to remove a shadow cloud on his sheet from the game and play a trap card from Adam's graveyard, namely "Thwart attack" and so his monster got an additional 500 ATK (ATK2000).Adam put Avian on defense mode and ended his turn. It was the dark guy’s turn. "Shadow cloud beta, take out his elemental hero Sparkman."

"Do you finally notice that you have no chance. You will lose and your soul will be banished into the realm of shadows," said the dark guy after the attack. Adam had nothing to defend himself with at the moment, but he didn't want to give up. It was very important to him. He put his index and middle fingers on the top card, closed his eyes, and pulled them.
