A babble of voices woke them up. Even though the people around her spoke softly, almost whispering, it woke her up. She didn't open her eyes because she knew that they would hurt immediately. The room she was in was much too bright that she could already tell through her eyelids. She wished that this room was in the dark, then she could open her eyes to see who was there. Suddenly she noticed that her head was painful. There was a pounding in her head and she felt a lot of pressure too. She grimaced at the pain she felt. She didn't have to see it to know that it looked strange."Psst! I think she will finally wake up," said a woman's voice.
Immediately it went quiet in the room. The very young woman, apparently waking up, wanted to see from the clutter of voices how many people were with her. Through the silence, she heard the blood rushing in her ears, which she didn't like very much. It was almost unbearable for her, because it made her feel as if she was sitting in a carousel that was 10 times faster than normal speed. Slowly she encouraged herself to open her eyes because she couldn't stand the dizziness any more. Hesitantly she winked with both eyes to slowly get used to the daylight. And as she guessed it before - her eyes hurt. When she winked, she could see something of the figures around her. She noticed four people. One of them was a very tall man and another, next to that was a woman. She had long, dark hair as far as she could tell when she blinked."How are you?" Came the same woman's voice.
Unable to answer, she remained silent. Shortly afterwards she heard someone making a throat clearing sound. Whereupon she opened her eyes completely. It was the big man.
"Barret, don't be so impatient.", The woman warned the hawker, the same one who spoke to her.
The young woman straightened up slowly, because she had the feeling that her head would burst. The pain became more and more unbearable. She grimaced again.
"Are you in pain?" Asked the woman.
Knowing that she couldn't answer, she nodded.
"Better lie down then," the woman advised her.
Whatever she did. The headache didn't hurt as much when lying down, she noticed.
"Would you like something?" She was asked after a short silence.
The only thing she could answer to that was "... darker."
"Barret, draw the curtains," the woman asked the tall man.
This did it too.
When the curtains were finally closed, it became pleasant for the extremely young woman to keep her eyes open. But because of the headache she still had, she wanted to close her eyes anyway. She would have loved to go back to sleep, just so that she no longer felt the pain. But she could not have done it, because she felt, as it was, she was being watched.
As if the woman could read her mind, she said, "We'll get better."
Then she nodded and lay down on her side so that she could lie better. Barret, the woman, and the other two, who ignored the young woman, then walked out of the room and quietly closed the door behind them.
"Well, I don't know - she seems kind of strange to me, Tifa." Said Barret.
"Don't be so pessimistic," she criticized him.
"I just mean. How does a girl like her get to the region before Nibelheim?", He explained his previous statement to her.
"Maybe something bad happened to her," said the blond young man next to them.
"Cloud is right, Barret.", Replied the other lady in front of them."Yes, it could be." Tifa considered it.
Cloud indicated that they should all go downstairs. This is what they did. When they arrived downstairs, they were immediately asked by a lively girl whether the sleeping woman had woken up. Tifa answered this question with a yes, but added that the young lady wanted to go back to sleep.
"What happened to her?" Asked a tomcat on a giant stuffed animal that was electronic.
This animal must have been a robot.
"Definitely not good.", Tifa replied to this question.
She sat down on a couch and made herself comfortable. The other three who came out of the hotel room with her and went into the hotel reception room did the same. There was then silence, no one said anything. All you could hear was the ticking of the large grandfather clock. Cloud sat there slightly cramped and wanted to say something, but he refrained from it. Tifa saw this and then broke the silence.
"What do we do now?" She asked.
"Go to the Shinravilla!", answered Cloud hastily.
His hasty behavior infected the others.
"We have to hurry!" Said a big cat that was also in the room.
This animal looked very strange, you couldn't exactly say whether it was really a big cat. The tip of his tail was made of fire. What was really strange and not only that, also that this animal could speak. His fur was orange-red and had a few tattoos. One of them consisted of the Roman numerals XIII. This stood for the number thirteen.
"I'm staying here and will take care of the girl," Tifa said.
"Me too!" Replied the young woman who was also upstairs in the room.
"Okay, then Barret, Red XIII, Yuffie, Cait Sith and I go to the Shinravilla.", Cloud explained, who was on his way.
The people he mentioned couldn't react as quickly as Cloud took his huge sword and got up.
"Wait!" Yuffie, the perky girl, called him.He stopped short and rolled his eyes.
"Not that fast either.", Said Barret.
He got up and slowly walked towards the exit. Yuffie took her shuriken and jumped off the couch and ran after. The big cat Red XIII and the robot Cait Sith moved with them. Now only Tifa and the other were in the reception room.
"And what do we do now until they come back?" Asked the young woman.
"Wait until the girl wakes up again, Aerith. And if she is, we'll take care of her right away.", Tifa answered her.
"If not, we'll wait until the others are back.", Aerith said, who said it in a somewhat amusing way.
