Tokyo Love Story

Chapter 1

It was a sunny March day and a fresh wind was blowing through the Aoyama cemetery. A youth went to a grave and placed a bouquet of pink carnations there and stared reverently at the tombstone. It had been three years since she died. He missed her, even if she annoyed him a little sometimes. But she was his little sister and he loved her.

He closed his eyes and remembered how he and his family were told that the plane had crashed. His mother fell to the floor crying while his father leaned against the wall to keep from falling over. She was dead, she would never come back.

His parents blamed the pilot of the other plane, who crashed into their private jet. When they found out who was on the other plane, their anger and hatred increased. The hatred that ran through generations. This calamity was the culmination of the feud between his family and the Nonakas, "their" enemies. Anger and hatred made his family blind, they didn't want to hear that the air traffic controller was to blame. All that mattered to her was that there was a Nonaka on board the other private jet and that he was to blame for her daughter's death.

He saw it all much more clearly and never blamed the Nonakas for the loss of his sister. Of course was angry and grieved, but unlike the rest of his family, he knew the Nonakas were not guilty. But he was the only one who saw it that way. The Nonakas also accused his family of being to blame, and he knew that neither family could ever bury the hatchet.

"Henry?" Came a voice from behind him. He turned around and smiled.

"Hey, Takato." Henry smiled at his best friend. The other boy then also went to the grave and also put down a bouquet of carnations. "Thanks."

"I know you were very close.", Takato nodded. He looked around. "Where are your parents and siblings?"

"They were already here.", The dark-haired boy sighed and looked at the tombstone. "I wanted to come here without her, you know?"Takato nodded silently.

"Do you want to stay a little longer?" He asked then.

Henry shook his head. "No, I've been here for a while. We can go." Then he turned back to the tombstone. From the corner of his eye he noticed a girl who was also standing alone at a grave. Her red hair was blowing slightly in the wind.

"Henry?" Came it from Takato.

"Come on," he replied and then turned to the girl, but it was gone. He looked around searching, but could not find her anywhere.

“Are you all right?” Takato looked at him worriedly.

"Yes. Take care, Suzie, see you then.", Henry said to the tombstone and then left the cemetery with Takato ...
