Henry was in English class and stared absently out the window.
'Rika ...' he thought. He couldn't forget the girl. Since he had met her a few days ago, his thoughts have only been buzzing around the pretty redhead with the violet eyes.
"Mr. Wong?" Came his English teacher, but Henry continued to stare dismissively out of the window.
"Henry!" Whispered Takato from behind him. “Henry!” To no avail. Henry didn't hear him or her teacher, so Takato gave him a light hit on the back of the head.
"Ow!" Shouted Henry, turning angrily to his best friend. "Do you still have them all? What was that supposed to mean?" He asked his best friend angrily.
"Mr. Wong.", It rang out again from her teacher and Henry turned around immediately. "Everything alright?"
"Yeah, sure." Henry smiled.
"Okay. But please at least try to pretend that you are following this lesson."
"I try.", Henry said and tried to concentrate on the English lesson for the rest of the lesson ...~~ * ~~
Takato kept glancing out of the corner of his eye at Henry, who was walking silently next to him. During the whole school day he had hardly said a word and always seemed absent and Takato slowly began to worry about his best friend.
"Okay, that's enough!" He said and then Henry looked at him in amazement. "What's wrong with you?"
"What's the matter with me?" Asked Henry and walked on.
"Oh come on, you know what I mean!" Takato stopped Henry. "Come on, I'm your best friend. You can tell me anything."
"I know." Henry sighed and walked on. Takato followed in silence, knowing that his friend would talk when he was ready. Henry went to Shiba Park and sat on a bench, Takato sat next to him. The two boys watched some children playing. "Do you actually believe in love at first sight?" Henry then broke the silence. Takato looked at him in amazement.
"Why shouldn't it exist?", he said, but then he knew what his best friend was getting at." You mean ... you've got yourself in Rika ... "Henry just nodded." Wow ... "
"Yeah, wow.", The dark haired boy agreed and looked up at the sky. "I mean, I don't even know her."
"Oh, that could be changed."
"No matter what you're up to, don't do it. It'll just go wrong again anyway."
"What? Please tell me a plan of mine that went wrong!"
"Okay, what about your 9th birthday when you wanted to bake your own birthday cake and almost burned down your father's bakery? Or when you really wanted to take part in this play when you were 13 to impress Aiko Yamada. Which you would have succeeded "You wouldn't have thrown yourself up in front of all the people during the performance. And what about last year when you cut off the power for half of Shinjuku, when we were at the power station with school and you had to try a few buttons again?""Hey, that was an accident!", Takato tried to defend himself.
"Shall I continue?" Henry then asked with a raised brow.
“No, you don't need that.” Takato played the offender and Henry had to laugh.
"Oh come on Takato, you have your good points too."
"That's probably true.", Grinned the younger and stood up. "Come on, let's go to me, I'm hungry."
"But only if you don't cook. I remember when we were 11-"
"Shut up, Henry!"

Laughing, Takato and Henry walked into Takato's parents' bakery.
"Hello guys!", Mie Matsuki, Takato's mother greeted her son and his best friend. "You're sure to be hungry. There is sushi upstairs that you can have."
"Thank you. We'll just go back and say hello.", Takato said and the two boys went to Takato's father. "Hello dad."
"Hello boy. Hello Henry.", Takehiro greeted the two of them. "How are your parents, Henry?"
"Both of them are fine.", answered the dark-haired boy." At the moment the two are in Osaka to visit Rinchei and Jaarin.
"Then say hello to us when they get in touch. Haven't heard from your father in a long time."
"I'll do that." Henry smiled. Their fathers had known each other since school and were good friends ever since. Janyu even agreed to pay the tuition fees for Takato's expensive private school because Takehiro couldn't afford it.
"Hey, Henry!", Came Takato's voice from above. "Can you ask my mother where she put the phone? I can't find it!"
"Sure," shouted Henry and went forward to Mie. "Takato asks-" he started, but stopped when he saw Jen and saw Rika.
"Hello Henry," Jen greeted him.
"Hi.", He just said and stared at the red-haired girl.
"Hey.", She smiled, embarrassed.
"Hey." Henry couldn't help but smile. Jen grinned. She guessed what was wrong with the two of them. She had already noticed that when they met at the café.
"Henry? How long do you need, I- Jen!" Said Takato, astonished. "And Rika! Hi! W- what are you doing here?"
"Shopping.", His mother answered and Takato blushed. Jen laughed.
"That too. But actually we wanted to ask you something," said the brunette.
"Really? What?" Takato looked questioningly at the girl in front of him.
"Well, next week is the beginning of April and well ... the cherry blossoms are starting to bloom. We wanted to ask you if you guys are going to the annual picnic with us."
"Sure!" Shouted Takato. "When and where?"
"On Friday. We'll meet at the entrance to Ueno Park, okay?"
"Sure.", Grinned Takato, who already couldn't wait.
"Okay, see you Friday. See you then." Jen said goodbye.
"See you then," said Rika, who had been smiling at Henry the whole time.
"Yes," smiled Henry. “See you Friday.” When the two girls were gone, Takato danced around the store. His mother could only smile at the two boys who were obviously in love ...
