Shuichi just smiled slightly. "It's not that bad then we'll just paint a little." Meirelle nodded, grabbed a pad and pens and pulled Shuichi with her to Ryuichi on the floor.
All three painted quietly, now and then the older one would sing a little song. "I have an idea, we're playing, I'll tell you something and you have to find the solution!" Ryuichi shouted suddenly.
Meirelle and Shuichi first looked at each other, but then nodded in agreement. Together they cleared away the painting supplies and sat on the couch and the green-haired man began to tell:
"Mr. Meier gets up in the morning, then he goes to work. He works in a large company in a skyscraper. His office is on the 35th floor, but he gets out on the 23rd floor and takes the stairs, he doesn't really like walking. But when he does now it rains then it drives up to the 35th floor, why is he doing this? You can ask me questions that I can answer with yes or no. "You could see how the other two immediately rushed into their thoughts.
Shuichi started now. "Is he seeing someone?"
"No." was a very short and concise answer.
Meirelle continued: "Is it personal reasons?"
"Yes," followed that.
"Hmm. Is he afraid to go on alone when it rains?"
"Ne ~ in.", Came Shuichi's question.
"Oh dad, let's give us a tip."
Ryuichi thought for a moment, then said: "He would also go up to the 35th floor if someone else is going up there, too, even if the weather is nice."
Meirelle and Shuichi were thinking harder when the pink-haired suddenly shouted:
"He's too small!"
He was looked at by two amazed pairs of eyes and the older one began to grin. "That's right Shu-Chan. Since Mr. Meier is a midget, he only gets to the button of 23 but when it rains he has his umbrella with him and can get to the 35th button." "One more thing!" Demanded the little one and her father gave in."Mr. Meier lies in bed at night and can't sleep, he gets up, goes to the phone and dials a number, there he can be connected when someone at the other end answers he asks" Are you Mr. Meier? "When the latter says no, he wishes him good night and lies down again, now he can sleep in peace. Who did he talk to and why?"
Again the other two began to think.
"He wants to check whether his wife is cheating on him.", Shuichi said in thought.
A quick and short no was the answer.
"Maybe he thinks he's in the wrong room?" The young singer tried.
Again he only got a no for an answer.
"Does something bother him?" He tried further.
"Yes." Was the short answer.
"Is it loud music?" Shu asked further.
"No"
"So he lies in bed and tries to sleep, then he can be connected to the reception because his roommate snores, this wakes him up and goes to the phone, he asks him if his name is Meier, his neighbor says no and he is now awake is Mr. Maier can sleep in peace."Meirelle concludes now.
Shuichi and Ryuichi look at her speechless and Ryuichi just nods slowly.
"How do you know that?" Shuichi exclaims. A grin plays around the little one's lips as she says: "We already took the riddle through at school."
After these two riddles, Meirelle went to bed and the two singers chatted a little about the next tour.
