"Great ..." I grumbled, depressed. I had almost forgotten the guy behind me when he suddenly said: “Can I help you somehow?” Sighing, I turned and said: “Yes .. Could you maybe take me a bit with you.” I didn't even know why I was got this stupid idea. How could I know if he had a car or how could I know that he was not a criminal. Who was just waiting for little lonely girls to miss their penances home. Anything could have been possible. However, I was so naive and trusted these guys for some reason. "Yes, of course. My car is only a block away!", He said and pointed in the direction behind him. So I ran down the street with this guy I barely knew. The streets were getting dark and dark, I was getting a little colder so I pulled the zipper of my coat a little higher. Suddenly we stopped in front of a black and red painted sports car. At first I was surprised that this car has not yet been stolen. With a whirring noise, he opened the doors with a remote control. Then the guy went to the car and held the door open for me. I stopped hesitantly. At first he looked at me confused, but then said: "I know why you are hesitant. But I can only promise you that I will only bring you home and will not touch you." I thought for a moment, but then got mine Cell phone out and got in. Then the guy closed the door and went to the driver's side, where he also opened the door and got in. He started the engine and then I said, "I'm Rachel."
He looked over at me and replied, "My name is Ian."
I nodded.
After a short time he reported: "I have to go to a theater again. It won't take long. Is that okay with you?" And glanced over at me. "Yes, take it easy, I have time!" I said calmly. He just nodded. After a short time, when we both had hardly said anything, he stopped in front of a side entrance and went inside. After a few minutes my phone rang, it was my sister.
"Yes hello?" I asked.
Without a hello, she said a little excitedly:
"And did you get the CD?"
"No, it won't be on the market until Wednesday next week."
To change the subject, which interested me more, I asked her:
"And. Do you already know if you're coming this weekend?"
At first Caren was silent, but then said a little ruefully:
"Listen. I'm sorry. New cases have just arrived and I have to look at all of them. Sorry Rachel. But I can't. Even today I have to stay in the office at 11pm."
"It was clear again!" I exclaimed.
"I'll come next weekend okay?"
"Promise ??" I demanded.
"Promised."
It was quiet for a moment. Apparently she was just interrupted.
"I'm sorry. I have to break up myself now. We're on the phone, yes? Love you. Bye."
"Me too. Bye." I replied after she hung up.
Only then did I notice that Ian was back in the car.I looked a little confused.
"Your friend?" Asked the blonde.
I laughed briefly and replied: "No. Only my sister. I have no boyfriend."
It wasn't until I had already spoken the sentence that I realized that I could have left out the last part of the sentence. But now it was already too late.
"Could have been that he was worried about where you were staying!" He tried to justify himself. "It's more like my mother! She's always worried!" I said and had to grin slightly.
Ian got serious and whispered to himself:
"I am alone. Nobody would worry about me." Although I did not miss his sigh afterwards. So I was silent and looked out the window. After a while he asked:
"Now right or left?"
I looked out the window and then told him: First to the left. Then drive to Little Road and then turn right. "
The blonde nodded and drove right to my house. He switched off the engine and commented, "So there we are."I nodded and got out. Then I sipped over to the driver's side and said," Thanks for taking with you. "
"Don't worry!" He replied. I hesitated for a moment, but then finally spoke.
“Would you like to come in for a moment?” At first he looked at me with his brown eyes a bit confused, but then he smiled. "Yes, of course I would." So he got out.
I waited briefly for Ian then I pulled my bowl out of the gym bag and unlocked it.
I turned on the light and put my bag down. "Not bad!" I heard Ian's voice say. With slow steps I went into the kitchen and asked him: "Do you want something to drink?" He looked in my direction and said: "Yes, I would like to have Jack bowl."
I looked at him confused. “What?” The blonde started to laugh and then said: “It doesn't matter. I'll take water then.” “Okay.” I said stretched out and poured the water for both of us. Then I pressed one of the glasses into his hand. He took a sip.
"I have a question.""Go ahead," I said smiling to him.
"How can you trust a stranger like that? I mean, I could also be a wanted criminal, or if not a rapist."
"Well! I'm mostly too naive. But I don't think that you are a wanted rapist. And if I did, I could defend myself."
After all, I do boxing, I thought with a grin.
Now he grinned and said: "Don't worry. I'm rather the opposite. And? What are you? Scratch brush or cuddly cat." He grinned mischievously.
"Hm. I don't know. But maybe you will find out one day.", I grinned, emphasizing your words maybe and someday.
"Oha. Someday? That means, you want to see me again ??", he asked a little surprised, but still grinning.
"Maybe!" I repeated.
He took a step towards me and wanted to know:
"What do I have to do to make you want to see me again?"
"Don't know!" I said with a shrug.
Then he took another step so that my face was right in front of mine.He put a hand on my somewhat hot cheek and breathed into my face: "Am I on the right track?"
I would have loved to melt there, but I heard someone open the door. I knew immediately who it was, so I pulled my head back and said:
"I think it would be better if you go now." Ian just made an approving sound. At that moment, the housekeeper, whom I had known since childhood, came in.
When I and Ian stood across from each other, I said to him with a smile: “Maybe we will meet again someday!” Inside I really hoped that it would happen that way. He nodded and said: “See you soon.” Then he went to his car and got in.
After he drove away, I closed the door and went to my room.
Inside, I was already preparing for what would happen tomorrow, because after all, tomorrow was the first day of school at my new school.
Sighing, I packed my school bag.But I couldn't have known that tomorrow there would be a surprise waiting for me there.
