The new life or 2 of a kind

Interrogation?

Hello,

I know it's been a long time. But somehow I couldn't write. I just didn't like anything I put on paper. At least as far as this fic goes.
Well, now I have a course that is very insightful * cough cough *. In any case, it stimulates my creativity, I draw and write again without end * happy *. Which completely misses the actual reason for the course.

Well, definitely here is the new cape. Have fun while reading.
See you soon

Chapter 11 - Hearings?

Shinichi yawned heartily and checked his watch. 'Six in the morning. And that on a Sunday, 'he thought, tormented. He stretched and wondered whether he should get up or, better still, enjoy the comfort of the bed a little. He chose the latter and considered his dream. Why did he dream of a text message that referred to him as a woman? Once again he didn't understand. Just like the dream he only had last night. An idea occurred to him, but should it really be like that? Did he dream about what happened to Ran? And if so, why is that? 'All nonsense. We broke up. ' He sighed. "Well. Actually I broke up with her, I didn't tell her anything either. I damn coward." He spoke his thoughts out loud.

A few hours later he decided to get up. Actually, he wanted to have some peace and quiet, after all, tomorrow was another tough day in high school to survive, but as fate would have it, his mother was in the kitchen cooking. A rare picture as he found it. "Tomorrow," he said softly and went straight to the coffee machine. Whoever made the coffee had to thank Shinichi. If he had to make coffee himself now, he would have been in a bad mood all day. Also something he had only noticed since he was in Los Angeles."Morning," Yukiko said happily, watching her son. She had to smile when she saw where he was headed. She knew full well that he was unbearable when he didn't have coffee. Which made her cook a new pot every hour. She had drunk the rest of it herself. Yusaku will still complain to God today why he was reading that. After all, he had to endure her for the rest of the day.
“And how was your date with Alex?” Grinning, she sat down at the table across from Shinichi.
He just shrugged his shoulders. "It wasn't a date. Just a casual get-together with friends," he said, bored, and sipped his coffee. His mother had outdone herself with the coffee. It was the perfect ratio of water and coffee. 'At least something,' he thought, suppressing a yawn.
"Yes, yes," Yukiko waved him off. "Always the same saying. You always said that to Ran and what was it in the end? Right. A date." As soon as she finished her last sentence, she regretted saying something. Slowly she looked at her son and was startled. There was no emotion to be seen. Ordinarily he would have run out of the kitchen just by mentioning her name. But not this time. He sat quietly, sipping his coffee again. Now she was confused. Was he with Alex now? Had she and Yusaku bothered in vain? Did Ran have someone too? After all, the two high school students tick almost the same way. Was that why she stopped writing?
"... you listened to me?" Yukiko startled.
"What? No, I'm sorry. I was just lost in thought."
He rolled his eyes. "I said," he began slowly, "that firstly I don't care about Ran and secondly I don't feel like any women either."
"Ah yes, and why were you gone with a woman yesterday?" The term woman dragged her out in disgust.
He shrugged. "Pastime perhaps? After all, I can't hang around here forever and stare at the ceiling. You get crazy over time, "he said, slightly annoyed." Oh yes, because we're at it. What about having your own apartment? After all, I'm not really used to having you around me all the time. "
"You're driving me crazy," mumbling softly, she got up and wanted to turn to the food again, but suddenly turned around at his further words. "I beg your pardon?" she asked perplexed.
“You have already understood me correctly.” He spoke these words dryly and firmly. "I want out of here. I lived alone in Tokyo and I didn't really plan to spend the rest of my life with you." He finished his coffee before getting up and putting the cup in the dishwasher. "So what is it? Do I get permission or do I have to leave?" He looked at Yukiko expectantly. He knew that she liked that he lived here and that they saw each other every day. But would it hurt if he had an apartment in the same town? After all, they couldn't see each other more often, as was the case recently.
"I don't know," Yukiko said hesitantly. "You're already in your senior year of school and then you're moving to college anyway. You plan to go to college, aren't you?"
Shinichi shook her head slightly. "You're right, but this is still too much of a bond for me. And yes, I plan to study. I don't know what and where yet, but I don't care. If you'll excuse me now." Annoyed, he left the kitchen.
'That starts well,' he thought. As soon as he went out with a girl, his mother interpreted too much into the matter. Just because it was like that with Ran back then doesn't have to be the same with Alex. Although he wasn't averse. Alex was different from the other girls. Like Ran, he thought. He stopped abruptly. Now he was already comparing the two. He finally had to get Ran out of his mind. It was over before it even started.Which was mostly his fault. If he hadn't run into the case in the panorama restaurant back then, the two would certainly have come together. He sighed, it wasn't really his fault. Ai hadn't told him that the antidote only works for 24 hours. If she had told him that, and he knew that she knew, he would have left the case and stayed with Ran.
Why was he now thinking about something that was almost a year ago? He did not know. Shaking his head, he went to his room. He tried to suppress the thought of Ran. With success.
He spent the rest of Sunday in his room.

As was customary on a Monday, the students came into class sluggishly. And the number one topic wasn't Jack's party, as expected, but Shinichi and Alex. He was greeted with sayings like "Ey Kudo. Haven't you caught anything?" or “You damn lucky guy.” However, he only listened with half an ear. He was used to such sayings, even if not with the same content, from his time in Tokyo. So he could ignore the talk. But he knew that the next person to say a stupid thing would get to hear something from him. He sat in the far corner of the room. In the hope that he can get some sleep in peace.
"Hey Kudo. And did you get a hit?" Chris. Shinichi had completely forgotten that he had the first lesson with this idiot.
“Why is it always the same?” Shinichi asked angrily. "As soon as you go out with a girl, they say that something is going on. It got on my nerves in Tokyo and was actually happy that this is no longer the case here. And what happens? Just because I have something to eat with a friend I must have something going on with her right away. "
Shocked by his friend's words, Chris put up his hands defensively. "I'm sorry man. But you don't just go out with Alex. Not even as a guy. So far something has always happened. But if you say that, I'll believe you. "He said meekly and then sat down in front of Shinichi." What kind of one was that? So for Tokyo. "
Shinichi closed her eyes in annoyance. Couldn't he be left alone when he asked? “Just someone.” Once again he was forced to think of Ran, which he had finally suppressed yesterday. Suddenly he saw her in his mind's eye. Also wondered what she was doing. And how she had coped with his text messages from a few months ago.
"I hear you had a date with Alex. Is there anything to it?" Heard Shinichi Dom. Finally, a normal one. At least he's far better than Chris, who could never close the hatch under his nose.
Shinichi leaned back calmly. "No, it's not. We did meet, but it wasn't a date," he said calmly, wondering why he was lying. It was actually a date, casual but it was one. What did he mind if people talked about him? He was used to it. At his old school people talked about him every day, whether about a successfully solved case or about him and a certain person he didn't want to think about anymore.
"If you say so," Dom muttered, falling down next to Shinichi. Now he was sure. He had already suspected it, but Shinichi's statement from earlier, which he had overheard inconspicuously, confirmed that there was someone. So why did he see Alex? Was he just using them? He had to get to the bottom of that. Because no matter how bad her reputation was, she really didn't deserve to be used. Dom vowed to find out more about Shinichi's past.

Yes / Yes. The good cathedral is finally being used. At least in the next chapter. Or maybe later?
You decide. Either the "Shinichi sequel" or the "Ran sequel" is in the next chapter.I'm serious. Just write to me whether by ENS or via Kommi.

Oh yes, I can imagine that this cape is disappointing, but it was necessary for the rest of the story.

See you next time. I look forward to your opinion.
