"My goodness! It's pretty huge here!", Marveled Jonouchi, while he marches with wide eyes after his friends through the entrance hall of the Gigatech company building. He and his three friends follow the determined woman Atsumi through several corridors. "You're right, Jonouchi," she admits, "the inside of the building looks really bigger than it looks from the outside. After you've worked here for a while, you don't even notice it."
"Have you been working for Gigatech Enterprise for a long time, Atsumi-san?" Yugi now asks. The young woman ponders for a moment. “Well, basically I've been working here since the company was founded.” “Really?” Marveled Honda, “They still look so young. At first I would have thought that they would still be in high school . "An orderly guy from Anzu makes him jump. "Honda you donkey," she hisses, "you could get used to a little more politeness." Smiling embarrassed, Honda looks over at Ms. Atsumi and scratches her head. "Um, of course that shouldn't be an insult, Atsumi-san," he tries to wriggle out.
But the young woman doesn't seem to blame him. "It's okay. I'm really not much older than you," she admits, "but Gigatech-Enterprise hasn't existed that long either."
Finally they reach the end of the hallway where there is a thick security door. The young woman opens the door with a code card. It slides open almost noiselessly. “Come in!” She asks the four of them. Obedient and curious, they obey. Behind it is a large room. On the back wall there are a couple of control panels and a huge apparatus with many thick bundles of cables and pipes snaking along them. Most of all, however, your gaze is caught by two elongated, person-sized plastic capsules that stand in the middle of the room. Apart from them there is no one to be seen.
Jonouchi says, “This looks like a science fiction film!” “Yes,” confirms Honda, “Just that this is the reality.” “A pretty frighteningly real reality if you ask me, "says Anzu, slightly worried.
“There is really nothing to worry about,” Ms. Atsumi tries to reassure her, “Our technology is absolutely safe.” With these words, she approaches a desk and picks up a receiver while Yugi and his friends look around curiously . "We're here now. What's the status?" She asks into the mouthpiece. For a moment she takes the answer in silence, then she says: “All right, we'll start here shortly.” Then she hangs up.
Now she approaches Yugi who is standing in front of a metal plinth and examines him closely. "This is our analyzer. The artifacts are scanned there." Then she asks Yugi: "I suggest we start with the millennium rod. The best thing you can do is put it on there!"Reluctantly, Yugi takes the millennium rod out of his pocket. For a moment he holds it uncertainly in his hand. Somehow I still have a pretty bad feeling about this thing, he thinks to himself. "Yugi, you don't have to do that if you don't want to", the other voice tries to calm him down. "But maybe we're getting some important information about your past here," Yugi objects. "However, when I see this staff, I always have to think about what Marik did with it back then and that worries me." "I can understand that", says Yami, "[/i ]but the staff is now ours and as long as no one is using it who has a bad heart, this staff cannot cause any damage.[/i]"" Are you sure about that? "asks Yugi. "No, I'm not sure", Yami admits, "But my feeling tells me that this stick is safe as long as it doesn't fall into the wrong hands]. "The spirit of the Millennium Puzzle sighs. "But I hope that this investigation will reveal a little more to us."
Yugi straightens up resolutely. He carefully inserts the millennium rod into the metal anchorage of the machine. It locks into place with a soft click. "Very good!" Says Atsumi, who has meanwhile approached a control panel. She flips a couple of switches, then a couple of lights on the pedestal begin to shine.
"What happens next?" Asks Yugi. "I'm now feeding the data into our cyberspace program," explains Atsumi, "Then you can see the results really close up. You can even climb into one of the cyber capsules." With mixed feelings, Yugi goes to one of the boxes and climb into it.
"And what should we do in the meantime?", Jonouchi says impatiently. "You can sit next door," she points out to a small room that is separated from the laboratory by a large glass wall. "There are several monitors in the next room, so you can watch exactly what your friend is seeing and experiencing."
"Out of the question!", Jonouchi decidedly clear, "I'm not going to let my friend into this cyber world alone! For those who can count, there are two capsules here, so I will of course accompany Yugi."
"I'm sorry, Jonouchi," says Atsumi regretfully, "But the other box is unfortunately still under construction and not yet ready for use. But don't worry, you will also be able to follow exactly what is happening to Yugi, I assure you! "Disappointed, Jonouchi grimaces:" Oh Menno, that's really too stupid! "
Yugi says encouragingly, "Nothing will happen to me." "If you say so, dude", Jonouchi grumbles and unwillingly follows his two friends into the next room. Then Yugi leans back on the cushions of the capsule. He's a little queasy. Then he feels the gentle pressure on his temple and only a few moments later the contours of the laboratory blur before his eyes.
