The next morning the five half vampires woke up a little late. As quickly as possible they got dressed and ran to class because they just let themselves go.
Hikari and Arisu in particular had their problems staying awake.
After class, the girls went back to the well and talked.

"The Senate is coming today, isn't it?" Reika asked a little quietly and bit off a piece of the apple she had with her. Hikari nodded and looked at her hands, lost in thought.
"We should be on our guard, who knows what he's doing to us," said the brown-haired woman and sighed.
The group was silent for a while. But the calm was broken by a familiar voice. "Hey! The rector wants to see you again!" Yuki yelled, this time she didn't come to the girls, either because Ayumi gave her her killer look or because Yori was waiting for her. Whatever it was, Ayumi liked it better that way.
The half-vampires got up and went to the director's office.

"You wanted to see us?" Yuna asked kindly. The Rector nodded: "I told you yesterday that the Senate will come. He wants you to be in the Mond house since when he comes. He would like to get to know you personally." The students froze and looked at their director. "With all due respect, Mr. Rector, you definitely can't ask that of us! It's far too dangerous," said Hikari and stepped back. Headmaster Cross held up his hands to reassure him. "Don't worry. I asked Kaname Kuran to pray for some of the vampires to take care of you. Nothing will happen to you," the man explained.
The girls exchanged suspicious looks. "I don't know exactly. Can we trust the vampires when it comes to our blood some of them would go over corpses" Ayumi pointed out. The rector cleared his throat once. "If Kaname orders something, no one will harm you," declared the principal, ending the conversation.
The five half vampires left the room with a sigh. After they closed the door again, they went outside. "Shall we go down into town today? I want to go shopping again," suggested Arisu. The others agreed, so the girls made their way into town.

After a few hours, the group was sitting in a cafe eating ice cream. Only one was missing. "Where's Reika?" asked Hikari and looked around searchingly. "I have no idea" came as if from one mouth from the other. "She'll come when she's hungry" mumbled Ayumi and put the spoon in her mouth.

Meanwhile, Reika wandered the streets of the city. "Where did I end up again?" she whispered and crept restlessly through the streets. Suddenly she stopped and looked around fearfully. "Something is wrong here, this feeling is uncomfortable," thought the girl. She took a few steps and stopped again. Someone stood in front of her and looked at her with red glowing eyes."A level E!" whispered the half vampires and backed away a little. "You don't have to be afraid. Come on, you will make a delicious snack!" it came from the E vampire. Reika turned around and ran away as fast as she could. "I am definitely not allowed to go into the streets where the people are" snorted Reika and turned into a dilapidated house. The vampire was close to her consequences, to make matters worse, Reika's body began to burn and her eyes ached. "That's how Hikari and Arisu described it!" thought the girl and crawled between stacked boxes, where the vampire couldn't reach for the moment. "What should I do? Please help me," whispered the girl. A tear rolled down her cheek. The vampire destroyed more and more boxes and got closer to the girl. The black-haired one shivered, she knew that the vampire would kill her. She narrowed her eyes when she felt the vampire's claws on her cheek. But suddenly it was gone, nobody tried to get to her anymore. "Reika? Reika are you okay?" asked a soft and well-known voice. The girl opened her eyes and looked into Takuma Ichijo's face. Slowly she came out of her hiding place and looked at the dust pile. "Don't worry, we've taken care of that," the blonde reassured her. Reika looked at him when her gaze wandered to his neck, her eyes turned red. She knew that now needed blood from a human or a vampire, but she didn't want to ask Ichijo, it was uncomfortable for her. So she said nothing.
Ichijo didn't notice that Reika was looking at him and he didn't notice her red eyes either. He leaned down to pick something up from the floor. When he straightened up and turned back, Reika was gone. "Where did she go?" he thought and looked around.

Reika ran as fast as she could to the others. When she got there she stopped puffing. She suppressed the pain and the sting and smiled friendly at her friends.
"We should go home, it's late. We also have to change," she said. Hikari and the others got up and nodded.
Arrived at the school building, the girls went to their rooms to change.
"What's the matter with you anyway?" Arisu wanted to know, who was just putting on a blouse with her skirt. "Nothing at all. What do you mean?" came as against question. "Well, you seem so absent," said Yuna. Reika shrugged and went to the door. "Are you coming?" she asked. The other two nodded and left the room with Reika. As always, there was a lot going on at the moon dormitory, but none of the girls knew that the Night Class students would not come today. The blonde gave her a friendly smile and then looked at Reika. "I'm sorry," the black-haired mumbled and looked at the floor. "Kaname-sama asked me to take care of you," Takuma explained and led the girls into the lounge of the moon dormitory.
All eyes were on the girls. The five felt a bit uncomfortable, but they didn't show it. Hanabusa immediately stood by Hikari and smiled at her friendly. Also Masahiro, who unobtrusively joined Arisu. Kaname only smiled once at the five girls.
Ayumi watched Shiki out of the corner of her eye and noticed that the vampire was doing the same. Yuna was also lost in thought, her eyes were on the vampire next to Hanabusa and on Cain. Reika, on the other hand, had completely different problems, she tried convulsively to suppress the urge to jump on Ichijo's neck and drink his blood. Ichijo noticed Reika's look and looked at her asking. "What's happening?" asked he. The girl startled and shook her head. "It's nothing," she muttered, looking at the floor. At that moment the door was opened and an elderly gentleman entered. All the vampires in the room bowed, only Hikari, Ayumi, Yuna, Arisu and Reika didn't think about it. You certainly wouldn't submit to a simple vampire. The Senate immediately went to Kaname and kissed him on the hand. "It's been a while, Kuran-sama," Ichio greeted the pureblood. Reika wrinkled her nose barely noticeably. After greeting Kaname, the man turned to the five girls. "The last half vampires. I never thought I'd meet such a powerful vampire species," came the man. He went to Reika and took her hand to kiss her too.
Hanabusa pulled Hikari behind him to avoid doing the same to her. Masahiro also stepped in front of Arisu. The others stood back a little and waited.
Reika struggled not to pull her hand back. The Senate sniffed the girl's wrist and her eyes began to glow red. "I've heard that the blood of a half-vampire tastes delicious and gives a normal vampire more strength," enthused the man. Suddenly his hand was snatched from him. Reika looked startled at Takuma, who let go of her hand again and stood next to her."That's enough grandfather now," he said seriously. The Senate's eyes went back to normal. "I got carried away," he said. Kaname was behind him now. "I'm not asking you to talk to the students at this school like that," he asked in a threatening tone. The older man cleared his throat once and then went to Kaname's room to be able to speak to him alone.
Everything was quiet in the lobby. Reika looked at her trembling hands. When she noticed that her eyes were turning red again, she turned around and ran out of the house. Ichijo looked after her in astonishment, then followed her.

Reika ran into the dorm's garden and sat on a bench there. "What's happening?" Ichijo asked as he sat down next to her. You should have said something," said the blonde and smiled friendly at the girl. "What do you mean by that?" she asked suspiciously. The vampire turned a little to her. "You can drink my blood," he offered. Reika got big eyes, but immediately squeezed them together again because they hurt too much. So she nodded and moved closer to the vampire. The girl swallowed once, then licked the pulse vein on the throat of Takuma and Bite. She put her arms around his neck and drank his blood to the full. After a while she let go of him and licked the rest of the blood from her lip. She looked at Ichijo, who just smiled at her. "Thank you," the girl whispered. The blonde just shook his head: "It's okay"
