West Arizona, the sun was hot. It was already getting dark. The tour group's charter flight landed only now, after a flight of almost 6 hours.
There were a group of students on board, for the purpose of a presentation they had aimed at a meteorite crash site. According to legend, spirits from all planets in the universe once gathered there. Of course, it was just a superstition, none of which had been scientifically proven.
A young lady with long black hair lolled in her seat and yawned slightly.
"Oh, finally there ..."
"Well, what do you want, with the price it just couldn't be faster ..."
The small group sat up and left the plane, the male companions had to drag themselves away with their suitcases.
"Tell me, what's in there? Bricks? That thing weighs a ton!"
"No, that's what we need to live." answered a student.
"Sue? Are you going again?"
"Yes ... with my back everything is fine again. But our company should complain less ..."
"Sonja? How far is it to the hotel?" Susan asked her friend.
"Hm, well. We didn't land directly at our destination, we could of course also book in a hotel nearby, but that will cost a lot more ..."
Susan turned around: "Hey, Melman! Can it be done a little faster? That could save us nerves and money!"
All right, Nefertiti! For you always"
Susan laughed briefly: "Ingratiation is no use!"
And so the group set out. On the way, Sonja leafed through a booklet.
"Wow, listen to that: Mars, people born under his protection will have a lot of power in every situation. And here ..."
Susan grabbed the reading from her hand and left it amused, then she threw it to Sonja.
"If you believe that, then surely also in magic!" she laughed.
"Magic, that's not so unlikely ..."
Susan cocked her head. "Yeah sure."
"Hey, you young hops! It's a pretty spacious area here, I offer myself as a tour guide. My name is Marcelle."
The group turned. An elderly man with black hair and a mustache waved to them. He had put on a sun skin and looked quite strict.
"Do you know where you can find a cheap hotel here?" Sonja wanted to know.
"Didn't you book one in advance?" Marcelle wanted to know.
"Unfortunately no, we are here for study purposes. Our university paid for the flight, but they were too stingy to book a hotel, so we have to deal with our money," explained Susan.
"Well ... in that case ... I definitely know some good and cheap ones around here. Come on, my jeep is waiting."
"Sounds great! I have to freshen up my complexion and I need a shower". Said a very well-dressed, arrogant-looking student there.
"I knew you were saying that, Vera." Susan shook her head. The trip with the Jepp von Marcelle went without any incidents worth mentioning. As always, the traffic was very busy. And so the small community got into an ugly traffic jam that dragged on for several hours.
"When are we finally out of here and on the country road? The heat is killing me ..." Melman wanted to know.
"Mh ... it could be a hurry ..." announced Marcelle.
And so they waited.
