Sighing, Wabisuke closed the door behind him. He stroked the wood of the door frame again, but shrank back when he heard faint sobs from inside. It shouldn't really work that way. He had thought Kazuma would be happy to finally see him again. But that was probably just a mistake again. He walked quietly through the house in order to disappear as inconspicuously as he had come. He didn't want to meet anyone else here, because Kazuma was right: the whole family didn't like Wabisuke. Whether it was because he was Grandpa's illegitimate son and adopted, or because he had simply sold Grandma's last piece of land without asking and flown to America with the money, he didn't know. He turned on his cell phone to check his mail. Nothing. The American government hadn't contacted you again. After creating a hacking AI for them and getting rich with it, he actually wanted to share the money with the family, but now he couldn't just do that anymore. Maybe I should have explained it beforehand, thought Wabisuke as he got into his car and turned the ignition key. He drove quietly from the yard, wondering when he would be able to return here next time.

>> Kazuma? << When his mother opened the door, he jumped up and quickly wiped his eyes, as he had actually fallen asleep. >> We’re going to eat right away and we’ll think it would be nice if you came too, otherwise you’re hardly seen
Kazuma sat up and shook his head. >> No, I can't. Please excuse my grandma and my master. << His master was his grandfather Mansuke, whom he called that because he had taught him Kung Fu over the Internet.
>> Hm, okay, but please remember that we will be celebrating Grandma’s birthday in three days. It would be really nice if you started eating with us from tomorrow, you know how important grandma is to have a meal with the family. << Kazuma's mother left the room, the door was closed, he was alone again. Sighing, he sat back at the computer and began to search the hard drive for old photos, letters and e-mails from his uncle. He just wanted to know why he had erased himself from her life so suddenly, only to push himself back in without a single sign of announcement.
~~~
From outside came the noise of the adults greeting his cousin Natsuki's friend. Kazuma had been looking for hours. But he hadn't found anything. Except for one email that congratulated him on his eleventh birthday and attached a few pictures of himself and his uncle. Disgruntled, he went to the bathroom to be able to take a bath before everyone else. He turned on the faucet, stripped off his clothes, and stepped into the warm, steaming water.There was one image that he couldn't get out of his head: Wabisuke and he, overjoyed in front of the stadium after a baseball game. Natsuki had taken the photo, he could still remember it clearly. And the fact that they had stuck to Wabisuke all day like they were magnets. And only in this picture could he be 'alone' with his uncle once. You could really see the joy in the picture. Not only because their team had won the game, but also because Wabisuke was finally free from Natsuki and it was now Kazuma who was hanging around his neck, so that his uncle had to bend down and look crookedly into the camera. Sighing, Kazuma tried to suppress the thought of this happily ending day and went into hiding, only to reappear immediately with wide eyes, to leave the bathtub with only a towel on and to sit down immediately at the computer. An idea had occurred to him, he wanted to know how Wabisuke remembered that day.
