Leena tore open her wardrobe annoyed, she didn't know what clothes her brother had brought her. She just hoped he had something reasonably useful. Today she had to look exceptionally good, otherwise she didn't really care. But today Max was supposed to come visit her. It was the first time that he would visit her alone, without the others in tow.
Ray had made sure that the others didn't have time. At least that's what everyone said.
Leena was grateful for that; she was uncomfortable that everyone knew, but she knew that her friends only meant well.
At last she saw the object of her desire. "Jason you are the best!" she said cheerfully into the closet and pulled out her favorite skirt. It was black and came almost to her knees. The fabric was wrinkled and very comfortable to wear, just right for a warm day like today.
She also grabbed a green top that left one shoulder free and still had something like a sleeve.
Satisfied with the selection, she now turned to her friend, who had watched everything with a big grin. “Why are you grinning like that?” Leena wanted to know indignantly. She felt caught, Nicki probably already knew why she was right. A shade redder in the face she asked Nicki: "What should I do with my hair? Somehow I don't like it openly."
Nicki had to laugh. "But you like them! You're just scared that Max doesn't like it. Hmmm let me think about it ..." Then Nicole rummaged around in her drawer and took out a silver butterfly clip. “Try this here!” She tossed the bobby pin to her friend. She made a ponytail and tucked her hair up with the butterfly. She looked at herself uncertainly in the mirror. “I think that's not that bad.” She happily turned to Nicole, who smiled and raised her thumbs up.
"Thank you very much, I'll give it back to you tonight!" Leena put a lot on her friend's neck and they both laughed.
"If you want to give me the bobby pin you have to come to my house." Nicole said, amused, and added: "I will be released today and can go home. When you come back from your date, I'll be gone."
Leena was happy for her friend and promised Nicole to visit her as soon as she was released from the hospital herself.
The younger girl now disappeared into the bathroom to change. Meanwhile, Nicole is packing up her things. It annoyed her that she wouldn't find out how her friend's date was going tonight. She would have to be patient until Leena called her. //Moment! Does she even have my cell phone number? // She quickly wrote the number and her address on a piece of paper and placed it on her friend's bedside table. Leena came out of the bathroom and checked with her friend that she agreed to her choice of clothes.
"You look good Leena. You'd think you'd expect a confession of love from him today." Nicole giggled.
Leena blushed and whispered: "I would prefer that to the other way around. After all, I would then know that I would not get a basket."
Nicole looked at her friend: "I don't think he doesn't love you. After all, he was here every day to visit you."
Leena replied meekly: "But why didn't he say anything when he already knows that I have feelings for him?" Now Nicole was a little confused. "Why do you think he already knows? Do you think one of the boys told him?"
Leena shook her head: "You said everyone already knows, at least almost everyone. He's not stupid. Tyson is the only one who has no idea about anything! "
The older one smiled: "Oh Tyson knows. For once, the unsuspecting person in the group is not him, but your Max."
Leena turned pale. // Does that mean he doesn't know? But then I have to think about how to tell him. I thought that if he already knew I could tell him straight away. It certainly wouldn't surprise him. And now he would be totally shocked… hmmm…. What if I don't say anything? Then nothing can change. Then I don't get rebuffed and can continue to scroll normally with the others without it getting strange. ... But Ray wanted to ... ..Oh! He's not in your situation! He doesn't even know how difficult such a confession is. //
Torn in her mind, she didn't even notice that Nicole was trying to talk to her. Nicole put her hands on Leena's shoulders and shook her slightly. But she grimaced as if she were in excruciating pain. "Ouch! That really hurts." Leena whined.
Nicole looked at her friend, startled. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you. But is everything all right with your shoulder?" Worried she awaited an answer, but Leena looked at the floor in silence. Then she said, "It's not bad. It just doesn't heal as quickly as it normally does. It could be due to an old injury of mine. When I was little my mother, brother and I had a car accident that shattered my shoulder bones and the fracture healed very slowly. In the current accident it hit the same shoulder and the doctors can't really see which cracks are old and which are new. "
The older girl took a moment to process what Leena had just told her and then asked, “Can you still leaf?” After hearing a nod, she was very relieved. "Oh Leena, you scared me a lot."
The friends talked for another half an hour until it was time for Nicole to leave. She was already standing in the door when she saw Max coming and called out to her friend quickly: "Tell him! He's a boy and they only get that a girl likes them when it's too late. So be brave and dare! Just a moment is enough and you will be certain. "
Then she disappeared from the room.
Max walked down the hall. He could already see Nicole and happily waved to her. She seemed to be shouting something into the room. But he couldn't understand it. Then she came up to him: “Hello Max, today is a good day to confess your love to her.” She winked at him and walked on without waiting for his reaction. // What did she mean? // red as a tomato he stopped. His heart was beating wildly and he was visibly nervous. // Today there are just two of us, I don't even know what to talk to her about .... 'Today is a good day to confess your love to her' .... maybe I should really tell her how I feel. ... but she will certainly not return it. After all, it's my fault that she's lying here in the hospital ... // "Take heart," he said to himself and knocked on the door of the hospital room.
// 'Just a moment is enough and you will be certain' .... Has she allied herself with Jason? Always this 'have courage' talk is usually his style. They all have easy talk! //
There was a knock on the door and Max came into the room. He smiled sheepishly and held out a small bouquet of flowers to the girl. They were red gerberas. Leena looked at him in complete surprise. “How did you know that these are my favorite flowers?” She beamed now and took the bouquet to put it in a vase. When she came back she looked at her teammate.“And do I get another answer?” She nudged him and smiled. // She looks hot as hell. The skirt looks really good on her. // thought the boy.
"Oh sorry! I heard you and Hilary talking about it ... .. By the way, you look good ..." At this sentence they both blushed and Leena answered embarrassed: "Thank you ..." // Wow, he's more attentive than I thought. It's hard to believe that he shouldn't have noticed anything about my feelings. // She looked out the window and asked him for a walk.
Both went to the elevator and when the door closed Max wanted to know where to go. His companion told him about the little park behind the hospital. It wasn't particularly big and only had five park benches and a small fountain in the middle, but she wasn't fit enough for long distances anyway.
Once in the park, Max started the conversation again: “Was Nicole released today?” The girl nodded and added: “The lucky one! Your sister was waiting for you downstairs in the foyer. I wish someone would pick me up too, then I would have to take my heavy one Don't drag the bag yourself. "She smiled and looked at his interlocutor's curiosity. Amused, she said: "I will probably be released next Thursday. But because you need the room after noon, I have to get out in the morning. My parents are working at the time. Jason will no longer be in the country. If I'm not mistaken, his next one is Concert in London. "Max could see that it made her a little sad and wondered how he could cheer her up. Then he saw a little boy crying howling at a tree. Leena had seen him too and went to him. She crouched down next to him, stroked his head and asked what was going on. The little boy pointed to a branch and the two of them could see that a ball was hanging there. The girl beckoned Max over. "Lift me up!" she asked him and whispered, embarrassed: "But don't look!" At first the boy did not understand what she meant, but took his friends on his shoulders as ordered. She came up to the branch and brought the ball down. Suddenly Max blushed. // Why am I so nervous? I don't even dare to confess my love to her, because I can't just think about how hot she makes me. // He tried carefully to set her down and not look. The little boy thanked him and happily ran away with his ball.
"We are a good team!" Leena noticed and grinned at the blonde.
Max grinned back and spotted an empty bank. "Shall we sit down?" he asked and the girl nodded.
When they were seated, Leena leaned back and closed her eyes. Max watched her and started smiling. // She looks so peaceful .... her face is beautiful .... her lips look so soft ... // Unconsciously he raised his hand to caress her cheek, but shortly before he touched her he pulled it Hand back and sighed. // She will never fall in love with you if you keep being that cowardly! //
The girl opened her eyes and looked into a light blue: it took her a moment to realize that it was not the sky but the eyes of her boyfriend. She blushed. And the blush rose in his face too. He hadn't noticed that he was staring at her like that.
"Tell me Max ..." Leena started a conversation: "We haven't had a chance to talk
