28) Love is always a battle (Ranma once said that)

Ranma went home with her head held high, he was sure he would be able to invite her, yes this time he would make it. Again and again he played through the situation in his head: The scene could have come from one of those Schnulzen films that Kasumi is always watching.

Ranma: "Oh Akane, would you do me the honor and join me to the party at Ukyo?"

Akane sat on her bed, she thought. “Shall I really take the first step like Hitomi said?” She took a stuffed animal out of the closet, it looked exactly like P-chan. She had sewn it herself for the time when P-chan wasn't there, so it looked accordingly. She hugged it. "Oh P-chan, it would be nice if you were here, you always listened to me. Oh, what am I talking about ... P-chan was Ryoga, I could ask him but I don't want to burden him with my problems."

Ranma was now standing in front of the door with the duck shield.He had already raised his hand to knock, but as if another hand was holding his, he couldn't knock.

Akane got up from her bed, she wanted to think more in the bathroom and in the tub. She got new things and a towel from her closet. She put her hand on the door handle ... and pushed it down ...

Ranma was rooted to the door. Akane looked at him.

Akane finished bathing. She went into her room whistling. "I'm really looking forward to it, I hope Ranma and Ryoga behave themselves too." Ranma was awakened by his father that morning, as always, rather roughly. He gets dressed and then trudges downstairs. Akane was already sitting at the table, she gave him a short smile and then looked away again.Ranma also smiled slightly and then sat down next to her. Kasumi filled the rice bowl and handed it to Ranma. He was still pretty sleepy.

After breakfast Ranma wanted to go to work out. He put on his workout clothes and then went out into the garden. He hit the dummy (that stick with the straw on it) a couple of times. “RANMA?” Kasumi came into the garden, waving a letter. Ranma finished his training and approached her. "What is Kasumi?" - "Ukyo just delivered the letter here." Ranma took the letter and opened it.

"A challenge!" - "Again? I thought you were friends now?"
