Chapter 7: Fight for the Princess or Defeat

[...]They entered the garden of letters. Vegeta, dressed only in boxer shorts, shivered all over. He had underestimated the night air, it was cooler than he had expected. Neo had no problem with that: his black armor protected him from the cold. The wind made his cloak blow. "Come on, Vegi!" He scoffed. "Now show me what you've got!" He knew that Vegeta hated being called that. Ever since he was a child, he had been aggressive towards anyone who called him that. He also knew what to expect, but he wasn't afraid. "Damn, you shouldn't call me that!" Vegeta angrily shot towards the Dark Saiyan. He wanted to bring him to the ground with a targeted blow in the stomach area, or at least bring him the greatest pain of his life. Vegeta lashed out, but Neo held back his hand. He cupped Vegeta's fist in his cold fingers. "You are getting old, Vegi!"he roared and slapped Vegeta's hand back." Well then, for another one! "Vegeta thought for a moment. What was the matter with him? As a powerful Saiyan prince, he couldn't deal with this" clumsy "ex-king advisor. That could only be a dream. Was all the training for otherwise? All the hard hours he had had spent in gravity to be prepared for such attacks (and of course to get stronger than Kakarott). Damn it, he had to do it. He had to destroy this Dark Saiyan. His sister's life was at stake, after all. "Vegeta? Hello? "Neo waved his hand in front of Vegeta's eyes." Are you still alive? "he asked sarcastically. Vegeta woke up from his thoughts, looked at his enemy and nodded with a grin." Well, that can still change! "Laughing, Neo slapped his tormentor's hand on the neck. Boom! The Saiyajin prince fell to the ground. He hadn't expected such an attack. Neo grabbed him and pulled him up, then Vegeta was thrown to the other side of the garden."Why are you working so hard for the little one?" Neo called over to him. "Does she mean so much to you? Forget her, she's only as little bitch as her mother. That's why she has to be destroyed too!" At these words Vegeta straightened up. Very slowly, very calmly, he strolled towards Neo. "Please repeat what you just said again," he asked.
<br />
"I think you heard me."
<br />
"But I want you to say it again!"
<br />
"Ok, for you one more time to take notes: She doesn't deserve to live!"
<br />
"You certainly not!" Vegeta hovered over him in a flash and knocked him over with a head-butt. Then he fired a few more energy balls afterwards. Would that be enough? No, he didn't believe that. But maybe he could beat him in SSJ status. He looked at Neo. He had the impression that he was dead. But that was absolutely impossible. Neo possessed a strong aura and that it simply cannot be extinguished so suddenly.And indeed: only a few seconds later Neo began to stir, his fingers dug into the earth, he straightened up and patted the dirt off the suit. "Hui, not bad. Really not bad. But now it's my turn!" He hovered over Vegeta. "Well wait!" He called. He was more victorious, thought he had judged the Dark Saiyajin to be far too strong, thought he would easily deal with him. But was it really like that? The fight then began above the ground, a battle of blows. Neo hit quickly and precisely, Vegeta struggled to avoid them, was hit quite painfully a few times, but also dealt vigorously. Tried to parry his opponent's blows as well as possible. But then it happened: At that moment he wasn't paying attention, just a second that brought the decision. Neo took advantage of his enemy's inattentiveness. He grabbed Vegeta's arm and turned it around. The bones broke apart. Vegeta froze. Partly from shock, partly from pain.He started screaming. A scream more out of humiliation than pain. A couple of people looked questioningly out of the windows. “What's going on with the letters again?” One could hear some questions. "No idea, but if it's important, it will be in the newspaper tomorrow." That was enough for most to go back to bed. The others took a quick look at Capsule Corp. until their windows closed too. The lights went out again. "But Vegeta, you bad boy. You wake up the whole neighborhood." Neo put his finger to his mouth. "Pssssst!" He hissed. “Try to be a little quieter next time.” Vegeta actually felt like crying. No, he thought. Why now? Why in front of her eyes? "It's your turn!" He gasped, holding his arm. The pain was unbearable. "Vegeta, don't kid yourself." Neo sounded serious, almost like King Vegeta when he used to try to bring his son back down to earth. There was a brief moment of silence, then he continued."All right, I'll give you one more chance. You have the opportunity to train a bit. And then there is another fight, without mercy, for life and death. The winner gets the brat, the loser travels to the afterlife. Agreed?" He grinned at Vegeta. His grin betrayed almost everything he was thinking at the moment. * Vegeta, you are a shame. A shame on your father. How does a looser like you become a Saiyan prince? I've almost won already .. No matter what your plans, you will fail and I will win. What an honor to defeat a Saiyan prince! * “All right, see you then!” Neo patted him on the shoulder. It looked almost amicable ... Then he flew away as if he had never been there. Vegeta collapsed angrily. He pounded the grass with his fist. What a humiliation! In such a short fight, the traitor had easily defeated him without taking a few scratches himself. How could he believe he had the slightest chance against this Dark Saiyan?But one question particularly tormented him: what was to become of Saya? She will die if he is unable to defeat Neo ... Bulma and Saya ran towards him. From the kitchen they had watched everything, hoped, feared. “Vegeta!” Both shouted, almost simultaneously. Saya came up to him, reached out her hands to him. “Come on, I'll help you.” However, he slapped her hands away. “Don't touch me!” He yelled. It wasn't supposed to sound mean (even if it did), he just didn't want her to touch a loser. He was ashamed of his defeat. With an effort he dragged himself into the house. If he had accepted the help of his sister it would have been easier for him, but he wanted at least to do that, hiding his frustration, his anger, his pain from outsiders. Nobody had seen him that night ...
