He didn't have to look far before he saw Lunch, which hit a rock like a clam on a cracked clam.He paddled over to her and patted her shoulder. Lunch turned his head, recognized C17, and breathed a sigh of relief. She pointed into the shell and C17 realized why she had been so reckless to stick her arm in there. He grabbed the clamshells with both hands and forced them apart. Lunch pulled out her arm and carefully felt it. The bone was still intact and apart from a slight numbness, nothing was left yellow. She quickly reached in again and got the dragon ball with the two stars.

She proudly showed him C17, which was already turning bluish. Startled, Lunch took a long drag from the mouthpiece and then handed it to C17, who let go of the conch with relief. Since he just couldn't get up even with strong pulls and the swimming aids, Lunch grabbed him under the armpits and helped. With some effort, after three attempts, they made it to the boat. C17 gasped and pulled climbed into the boat. "Uff," I thought, I'll never get out of there again, "he groaned.<br />
"Oh what," Lunch huffed and fished the dragon ball out of its pocket to look at it in the sunlight. "If necessary, you could have catapulted yourself out with a beam of energy directed against the ocean floor, right?"

C17 looked at her astonished, grabbed his forehead and grinned sheepishly.

"Just tell me, you didn't think of that before you swam after me?" Lunch wondered. "How did you think you'd come out again?"

"I don't think I thought about that," admitted C17, slightly contrite. "All I had in mind was figure out why it was taking you so long."
<br />
Lunch picked up the oars and shook his head. "You're a crazy cyborg to me," she laughed. "But thank you for freeing me from the shell. Now we're only three bullets missing."

"First of all we will spend the night here because it will be dark in two hours. Tomorrow we will fly to the next sphere ..."<br />
