Fanfic: Nur ein Lächeln (V+B)- Teil 10

knocked on Bulma's door. "Are you already awake dear?"
<br />
<br />
Outside it boomed unmistakably. Frau Briefs didn't wait any longer, but pushed open the door to the room. Bulma sat on the bed in a high-necked blue nightgown and rubbed her eyes. "What's happening?"
<br />
<br />
Frau Briefs could have wailed. Bulma's voice sounded impassive. She pulled herself together and carried the flowerpot in with a smile. "Here, this is Vegeta's parting present for you. He picked the flowers for you himself and brought them here. There is also a letter from him."
<br />
Bulma looked at the flowers and held out her hand. "Farewell?"
<br />
<br />
"Yes, he's on his way again, the ship is all right again and the loading is ready. You wanted him to go."
<br />
The roar gave way to a thunder. Bulma looked at the window, but from her room there was no view of the part of the garden where the spaceship was.The sounds alone were enough. For a second the thunder was almost deafening, then it got quieter and quieter as the spaceship disappeared into the clouds. Ms. Briefs breathed a sigh of relief, apparently everything had gone smoothly and Vegeta, out of sight, was certainly already on course to the new house. Determined, she put the flowerpot in Bulma's hand. "They smell wonderful, these cliff stars. Vegeta said they were like you, cool and refreshing on the outside, full of warmth and light on the inside. Read his letter, Bulma and you will understand ..."
<br />
<br />
Leaving her daughter on her own, she went back to the kitchen to do the dishes. Mr Briefs had a queasy feeling when he saw Safrano step into the house calmly, but he couldn't stop him. Safrano went purposefully to Bulma's room and pushed the door open without knocking.
<br />
<br />
Bulma was sitting at her desk, the pot with the flowers on the tabletop, and was unfolding the letter.She winced when Safrano entered.
<br />
<br />
"What is it, honey? Aren't you happy to see me," laughed Safrano. He took the paper from her hand, scanned the letter and, grinning, tore it into small pieces. “What do you want with this barbarian's scrawl?” Then he noticed the flowers. “They're probably from him too, shabby like everything else from him.” With a wave of his hand he swept the pot off the table top. Bulma's hand twitched as if to catch him, but Safrano hugged her from behind, holding her back. With an audible crash, the clay pot hit and broke.
<br />
<br />
"Now you're rid of her, Vegeta too. Your father imagined that I had no idea what was going on behind my back against me, against us, but he was wrong. I was able to sneak on board and find out easily, where Vegeta's "journey" should go. Ha! Your father is not the only one who can program a computer. Vegeta will be wondering where his journey will take him ... Be happy, Bulma, you will never see him again! "<br />
<br />
Safrano put his heel in the middle of the blossoms, turned his foot this way and that, and crushed the delicate blue blossoms with a triumphant laugh.
