Part 38

First of all, I took off my backpack, my sweat shirt, jeans, socks and shoes. It was just way too hot here in the middle of the desert. After I got rid of all unnecessary clothes (again only walking around in my underwear) and folded them up, I started to clean up here. I cleaned my sleeping place of all dried up, dilapidated parts of the plant. I folded the two cloaks and hid them behind the tree.

After that, I also cleaned the campfire site. Finally I got the very soft, warm blanket from the backpack that I had taken with me. With this I would certainly not freeze at night. I put my backpack and my clothes next to the tree. >> Oh how I missed all of this very much! << I thought happily. I was even looking forward to the cold night! ^ - ^ "

After everything was clean and tidy again I started to get dried grass, leafy green and enough firewood for the night.I also looked for three large palm leaves on which I would lie to sleep at night. Everything that was a necessary evil back then, I now did with jubilation. I was really happy about all the things that I was allowed to do here. >> How nice it is here! It was a really great idea to come here! << I played with these thoughts. I was really very, very happy.

I filled the campfire with some dried grass - leaf green and added some wood.

I put the three large palm leaves near the campfire. Just like then, I plucked a lot of grass or picked fresh leaves. I put all these big bats in the blazing sun very close to the lake. So that the whole thing could dry. I needed this because firstly, I wanted to put a soft pad under the large leaves again and secondly, I had another idea. My jeans backpack, I planned to fill it with grass and leaves to make a pillow like that.It's a good idea, isn't it? ^ - ^

>> Okay, Gabi! Now you've really done everything! The whole collected green has to dry first, that takes time. At the warehouse you have almost everything ready as well. Then you can start with some little food! <<

Thought and done! So bring on the fruits! ^ - ^

I picked one or two fruits and sat by the tree by my bed. So while I was eating I started thinking again! About the next few days that I would spend here, which I was happy about. But Piccolo also came back to my mind. Because after all, this was the place where we both found together.

>> Did we really find each other? It doesn't look like it to me. It was more of a one-time thing! A one night stand! << I thought very sadly.

When I had eaten both fruits, I lay on my back and dozed off in front of me. As if my thoughts were circling around him. >> Picco! I love you.I wish I was with you, but you don't want me with you! You have changed too much for us to get together again? Maybe it will be better if I return home! << I thought sadly and lay down on my right side. >> I still have 7-8 days to think about whether to go back home or stay here. After my little vacation here, I'll try to find Piccolo and talk to him. If this doesn't help, it is better to listen to Diana. <<

At this thought I had to start crying. Silence ran down my cheeks again, a few small tears. But these dried very quickly in this heat.

>> Yes, it’s better if I go away then. Even if I'll get into a lot of trouble at home. I will have a few things to explain there. And I'll probably lose my job this time! It'll be the horror, but what the heck!<< I thought tormented. For a long time I lay still. But then I sat up and leaned against the tree and packed my backpack. I wanted to try to distract myself.

I slowly began to empty my backpack. One by one, I got him out of him. Papa's old lighter again. That I've still carried around with me since then. ^ - ^ "

Again my small but nice pocket knife and my super small scissors. I also had a pack of plasters, a scarf, a notepad and a ballpoint pen with me.

>> What I have with me! Hm ... and it goes on! My jeans wallet, my bunch of keys ???? Well, I really don't need that here! << I thought a bit tipsy again.

>> What else do we have? Take a look.......! << I rummaged on, yes there was still something in my backpack.

Now I pulled out my little hairbrush, my fighting stick and last but not least the phone bill from last month!^ - ^ "" "" Hey there it is and I've looked for it everywhere! But now that doesn't matter at the moment anyway! "I said with a laugh. I shook my head, put all the things neatly next to the tree. The backpack too. Got up and ran over to the big grass and pile of leaves. >> Still drying. It just takes its time! <<

I ran back to camp and grabbed my battle staff. With this I went to the two trees near the lake. The very two trees between which I had already placed the staff at that time. "It's time for a few fitness exercises. I haven't done that for over a year. So then!" I said loudly and placed the battle staff between the two trees.

I spent a whole full hour in this monkey heat on my fighting staff and did fitness! Oh wow and what did I sweat. And all just to distract me.

Now I had enough and ran over to the lake. It was time for a little bath.I undressed completely and ran into the water. But only up to the shoulders. I didn't want to go any deeper. What if I got a cramp in my leg again, like I did then and was deeper in the water? This time nobody would be here to save me! >> So only up to the shoulders in the water, no further! << I thought while enjoying the water. It was nice.

After a good 10 minutes of bathing time, I left the lake and put on my underwear. The heat made me dry again quickly. >> How lucky it is that it goes so fast here. I forgot to pack a towel! << At this thought I smiled very briefly and looked in the direction of the camp. I automatically ran over there and sat down. Looking at my watch I could see that it was 4:01 pm. I dozed for a while in the warmth of the desert. When I felt the urge to do something creative. I was wondering what I could do.>> What could I do to remedy my creative phase? Yep I got it! I'm making some of those weird plant baskets again. Then I have something to laugh about again! << ^ - ^ ""

So I got up and walked around the oasis looking for my handicraft materials. Also found a lot of it, there was enough here too ..

I came back to camp with everything I needed for handicrafts and started making my plant baskets. When I finished the first one after almost an hour and looked at it, I burst out laughing. That thing in my hands looked like everything just not what it should be! ^ - ^ "

>> Oh man! The part looks even worse than the last ones from back then! Can you use it as a basket? << I put it on the floor. But it tips over than. I rolled my eyes, smiling. "Well, Gabi has conjured up something great!" I said loudly and laughed again. With this basket, I used to call it that, I ran over to the leaves - the heap of grass and filled it!Then I sat down at the tree again and put this basket on the ground. So filled with leaves, it stood upright on the ground, even if it was crooked! But at least! "What a great tinkerer I am! What I do looks like a shrine, but it does the job!"

After this determination, I went to do one more handicrafts. But this time I made this one with greater care than the first. It had taken me well over an hour to do this. But the second one was really better than its predecessor. It looked more like a basket and dearly unfilled, standing straight on the floor. He also looked better than the first. Not so ... dented, kinked, squeaky? ^ - ^ "" It was strange, but of the two I preferred the misshapen one!

A little later I went looking for the oasis again. Namely after a long, fairly straight, thin branch. I found one too. From this I started to carve a spear.I wanted to catch fish again! Which I was really looking forward to! ^ - ^

He was half finished when the sun started to disappear over the horizon. I dressed completely again.

Then I got the almost dried grass and leaves. Put a lot of it under the big palm leaves I would sleep on. I also filled my jeans backpack with everything that was almost dry.

When the sun was almost gone, I lit the campfire. It was now cold again, but I was happy about it! ^ - ^ "I was shaking, but enjoyed it! ^ - ^"

But when it got too cold for me I put the very warm and soft blanket over which I had taken from the palace!

Sitting close to the campfire and wrapped in this blanket, it really wasn't cold anymore!

I carved a little more here and there on my spear. In between I put more wood into the fire. So the time passed when I slowly started to get tired.I put the spear and my penknife aside. Time: 21:58!

Wrapped in the blanket and close to the fire, I lay down on my sleeping sheets with a soft pad and on my pillow that I made myself! My base was never as soft as a mattress, but you slept very well on it. And my backpack pillow was soft too. . It was great, really cozy! ^ - ^

Already tired and lying on the floor I watched the dance of the sparks of fire. I got more and more tired. But I quickly put a lot more wood into the fire. After that, it really didn't take long and I was gone!
