Part 15
<br />
<br />
It thundered and crashed, trembled and trembled all around them. How long it was she couldn't say. Something hard hit her fingers, she felt his body being hit again and again, but still he stayed on his hands and knees over her, a shield that seemed far too fragile.
<br />
<br />
Finally the noise subsided. It was still dark all around and the fear constricted Bulma's throat. Her hands felt over his shoulders, his back and felt the warm, sticky blood that ran from the many wounds.
<br />
<br />
"Vegeta," she breathed and coughed terribly. "Vegeta, please say something!"
<br />
Instead of an answer, all strength seemed to escape from his limbs through her question and he sagged over her.
<br />
<br />
Bulma fiddled with her suit and, to her relief, found a pen-sized glow stick. She turned it on and lit Vegeta's face.His eyes were closed and a fine thread of blood ran from the corner of his mouth. "Vegeta ... you idiot!" She whispered brokenly, while the tears ate furrows in the dust on her car. She raised the light stick further and realized that it was just by accident that neither of them had been crushed to a pulp. The large chunks that had thundered to the ground around them had become so wedged together that the place where they were was protected like a small room from further debris. But with the pressure that weighed down on them from the sliding earth, this protection would soon give way too.
<br />
<br />
Vegeta groaned softly and opened his eyes.
<br />
<br />
The ice-cold knot around Bulma's heart dissolved "You are alive, thank all powers, you are alive ..."
<br />
"Seems like it," he muttered, coughing.
<br />
<br />
"Are you hurt badly? Can you move?" Bulma asked urgently.
<br />
<br />In response, he rolled off her, his face contorted with pain, and pushed himself up. The sweat stood in thick drops on his forehead. He ran his hand over her face and felt the moisture in the tears. "Don't worry," he muttered and put on a crooked grin, "I won't get buried that easily."
<br />
<br />
"So?", She forced herself to use a joking tone, "and I thought it couldn't go much deeper ..."
<br />
"Any ideas?" He asked, ignoring her light tone. "It sounds like the next batch is coming soon."
<br />
<br />
Bulma had also noticed the suspicious crackling. They were buried so deep under a mountain of rubble that the only choice they had to choose between being crushed or suffocating. If something didn't occur to her soon, neither of them would see a ray of sunlight ... Wait a minute - a ray?
<br />
<br />
"Vegeta, are you still able to give off a powerful beam of energy and fly?"<br />
"What do you have in mind?" He asked curiously.
<br />
<br />
"If it works, then you can use your strength to send a beam through this whole pile of rubble and before the hole is closed again by the rubble that slides down, we fly out. Would that be possible?"
<br />
<br />
Vegeta closed his eyes and searched for reserves, for strength to make the miracle come true. But there was nothing, he was completely empty, pumped out, and the loss of blood added to his weakness.
<br />
<br />
Bulma felt what was going on inside him. She straightened up too, the cavity barely allowed to kneel with arms up and put her hands around his face. "I wish I could give you my strength, Vegeta. If it doesn't work, will you do me a favor?"
<br />
"What?" He asked hoarsely and put his arms around her back.
<br />
<br />
"Please kill Me."
<br />
<br />
"How?" He asked confused, holding her even tighter, as if he could understand her better.<br />
<br />
"Why should I do that?"
<br />
<br />
"I don't want to suffocate or be beaten to death. I want a quick, clean ending. You can break my neck with one blow, right? That wouldn't even hurt ..."
<br />
<br />
Before she could speak further, he closed her mouth with his lips. His kiss was even more intense than it was before, even hotter and more desperate. If she had previously held back a little because of the horror, she now surrendered to this bittersweet feeling. When they parted from each other, breathing hard, he whispered only one word: "Egoist!"
<br />
<br />
"I beg your pardon?" She asked and coughed.
<br />
<br />
"Egoist!" He repeated relentlessly. "If I kill you, I'll be left alone, waiting to die alone ..."
<br />
<br />
She swallowed and forced down the tears that wanted to well up inside her. "You're right. I'm selfish and cowardly and ..."
<br />
<br />
"... know-it-all, capricious, spoiled and ...", he began to enumerate.<br />
<br />
"Hey, your role is to tell me this is all wrong!" She hissed angrily.
<br />
<br />
"Oh?" His innocent tone didn't sound a bit sincere.
<br />
<br />
Bulma couldn't help but laugh. To her astonishment, she realizes that this outbreak had dissipated her fear and that her will to survive was revived.
<br />
<br />
"One thing is certain," she said casually. "If you don't get us out of here now, Gokou would definitely have messed you up with his little finger ..."
<br />
<br />
That sat and at the thought that Kakerott was now safely training on earth and he hadn't been able to go through a decent unit for days, the vein on Vegeta's forehead began to swell. Such a head start for Kakerott and only because this damn pile of dirt and stones was holding him down here ...
<br />
<br />
Bulma saw the new flare of his aura and wrapped the amre around his neck. "Now imagine, Gokou is floating up there and laughing at you because you are too weak to crawl out of this little pile ..." she mumbled.<br />
<br />
This idea helped a lot. Not only was Kakerott floating up there laughing at him, no, there was also this boy with the purple hair. "I am one too, I am also a Super Saiyan and I will show you ..." he growled, held up his hands and all his strength was discharged in a blazing bright energy beam that shines through like a small sun Milling rubble a way up. Vegeta shot after the light, the energy of which he could clearly perceive with his aura sense. One breath, another. Bulma didn't even try to think of the masses of rubble and rocks that were collapsing again just below them. Faster and faster they shot up through the narrow channel of the energy beam and then ... it broke the surface and they floated in the glaring sunlight.
<br />
<br />
Vegeta swayed in the air. "A little further away," urged Bulma. "Over there. We don't want to fall right back into the hole, do we?"<br />
<br />
"I'll do what I can," squeezed Vegeta and flew the last few meters at walking pace.
<br />
"Now slowly down," asked Bulma and he just managed to do that too. As soon as his soles touched the firm, warm floor, he finally collapsed and passed out.
<br />
Bulma felt for his pulse, startled. He was very weak, no wonder given the exertion and the great blood loss. Now it's time to get out of here as quickly as possible so that Vegeta could be helped. She looked up, but of course she couldn't make out any of the satellites unaided. All that remained was the hope that the collapse and destruction of the Great Guardian would also stop the satellites from functioning. Moving to the other side of the hemisphere as planned while they were busy with Vegeta's ship was no longer feasible now, not like Vegeta suffered.
<br />
<br />
Bulma resolutely fished out the capsule of her ship and activated it.With a lot of effort, she carried Vegeta into the ship. She cleaned and bandaged his wounds and prayed that he had no internal injuries.
<br />
<br />
Then she programmed the on-board computer to start. As the displays changed from red to green, she waited for the orbit's power scan to reveal the truth. Were the killer satellites still there?
<br />
<br />
But the screen stayed blank. No, there was nothing left. Bulma suspected that after their systems collapsed, they simply crashed. The way home was clear.
<br />
After the ship had easily overcome the attraction of the planet, Bulma remembered the data chips she still had in her pocket. Since the Great Guardian had stolen knowledge from her computer, Bulma was curious to see if there might be some useful new information here. The first two chips unfortunately turned out to be unusable, but the third contained numerous star maps as well as images of planets in close proximity to this one.Out of curiosity, Bulma clicked through a few maps and brought up some planets in close-up on the screen. At the fifth planet it stalled. "But ... but that's ..." No doubt, she would never forget the shade of green in her life. She hastily looked for more images of the spy probes that the Great Guardian had sent into space in search of useful life forms for the resettlement of his world.
<br />
<br />
Yes, there were some rough shots of inhabited parts of the surface. Bulma scratched her forehead. It could be the few bright spots there, but of course everything was far too blurred with this grid. But if she put this filter over it and then reduced that value, tripled the degree ... yeah ... now it became clearer. Of course, she could still change the attitude and if that wasn't enough, then a few more percentages and finally blurred but unmistakable shapes appeared.She had only seen such igloo-shaped houses in one world before. She calculated the distance and likely flight time and made a quick decision ...
<br />
<br />
A good half hour later she went down to check on Vegeta. He was still unconscious on the bed. She cooled his forehead and took his pulse. No deterioration, but no improvement either. If only he lasted. Determined not to cry anymore, she gave him a gentle kiss on the forehead and stroked his disheveled, dirty hair. "You'll have to wash it again, Vegeta," she muttered. "Not just your hair, you are completely dirty in general. Just wait until we get there,
