Darkness

Angel woke up from her dream drenched in sweat.She looked around her room and felt the shadows of her dreams would engulf her. She quickly hid under her blanket. Her thoughts were still on her dream, but she just wanted to forget about it quickly. She had that dream again, for the thirteenth time. Angel toyed with the thought of running to her brother for comfort, but she didn't want him to worry about her. So she stayed in bed and lay under the covers. Suddenly she heard a noise and the next moment the covers were pulled away. Angel started and closed her eyes, not wanting to see the shadows in her room.

Suddenly she felt a gentle kiss on her forehead and she opened her eyes again. Angel looked into two black eyes, even in the dark she could see the color of his eyes, as they seemed darker and more unfathomable than the deepest darkness. Her two year older brother knelt in front of her bed and looked at her worriedly.With one hand he absently stroked Angel's hair. He looked her in the eye the whole time. After a while he smiled and asked quietly: "Shadow what happened?" Angel was close to tears, she didn't want her brother to worry about her, but she answered him anyway. "I had that dream again!", She pressed out, as her voice threatened to fail, "You have banished me into the darkness again, for my sins." Her brother looked at her seriously, his hand still stroking her hair . Now he bowed his head to her

so that his mouth was close to her ear. "Would I do something like that?" He breathed softly into her ear. From his mouth it sounded like he was whispering an incantation to her. Angel's eyes were suddenly blank, it was as if she were no longer there. How mechanically she said: "You would never do that." Satisfied, he smiled and whispered: "Shadow, do you love me?"

"Yes brother, my beloved brother.""And you would do anything for me ?!"

"Yes brother, everything."

"Then say my real name!"

Tears flowed from her face, she didn't want to pronounce his real name, she wasn't allowed to. But she was under his spell and she whispered softly: "Dark!"

Suddenly everything became light and in the next moment everything became dark again. Darks eyes seemed to darken even more and it also seemed as if he was sucking in the light in order to banish it into the eternal darkness. Not even the glow of the moon could be seen. Suddenly one heard wings swinging, in front of Angel's bed stood Dark smiling contentedly and with demon wings. He leaned over to Angel and whispered: "Little sister. Your greatest sin was to steal my heart and now you will atone for your sin." His lips came very close to hers, his one hand reached for her shoulders around Angel to keep calm as she woke up from his spell and wanted to free herself.His other hand closed on her chin. Angel wanted to scream for her parents, but he suppressed their scream with a kiss. Suddenly she could see into his thoughts. She saw her parents lying dead in bed, their flesh worn away from their bones. Dark had killed her. Hate rose in her and she managed to push her brother away. She jumped out of bed and ran away. She ran through the house and wanted to go to the door, but the corridors were distorted like a maze. Her feet carried her faster than usual, the fear of her brother gave her wings. But Dark's voice whispered to her in every corridor. She didn't know where her brother was, but decided not to turn around and look. But suddenly a hand came out of the dark and held it. Dark stood in front of her and looked at her with a demonic look. He came closer to hers with his head and whispered to her: "You don't do that to a loved one!"He looked into her eyes again, satisfied, but this time his magic didn't work. Suddenly black flames licked up the walls and Angel's eyes became just as black as Dark's.

"You will repent now, Dark. Repent for your sins!" Angel hissed at him.

Dark smiled, he knew that she couldn't kill him, just as she couldn't banish him, she loved him too much for that. Angel put her arms around Dark and pushed him towards the flames. "You don't dare to do that, you love me too much for that!" shouted Dark. His voice trembled, was he so wrong about her? He wanted to be with her forever. So he killed her parents and awakened his demon side. How could she betray him like that, it flashed through his mind.

Angel looked at him sadly, then said: "You will not go alone, dear brother. I stay with you, we both have to pay for our sins!" With this last sentence she thrust herself and her brother into the black flames, indenen they were together forever.end
