2. Worlds converging

"Miaka! Miaka! Where are you?", Tamahome shouted and ran through the palace of Hotohori. As so often before.
For two years Miaka had lived with her friends in the book "The Realm of the Four Gods." She loved the life in the book, which was so strange to her at first.

"Hey, Tama, what's going on?", Asked none other than Tasuki, who was walking through the castle with Chichiri.
"I'm looking for Miaka. Have you seen her.", Tamahome asked with a worried expression on his face.
"One of me last saw Miaka in the royal library," replied Chichiri, who no longer wore a mask, but bore his scar with pride.
"Thank you.", Tamahome said, and just as he was about to run to the library Tasuki called: "Look, there is money there." Like a greedy magpie, Tamahome shot back and looked for the coin while Tasuki and Chichiri laughed broke out.

"What's going on here?", Switched a voice across the hallway, which was unmistakably the Emperor Hotohori.Next to him was no one other than the damsel Lady Nuriko.
"Oh, Tama, is looking for money again.", Tasuki replied and pulled his shoulder up and of course tried to give his face an ignorant expression while Chichiri giggles behind his hand.

Suddenly Tamahome appeared behind Tasuki and pulled his cheeks with full force, so that Tasuki screamed and tried to escape from the grip of his friend. He succeeded, but only because Tamahome let go.
"I have to see Miaka.", He said and reared up in front of Tasuki. But he bared his fangs and growled at him.
"Look, look, a kitten.", Tamahome said and patted Tasuki's hair. Tasuki jumped back a step and provocatively showed him his tongue: "uh".
"No, no lizard, with such a beautiful tongue.", Tamahome shouted. Chichiri meanwhile didn't stop laughing and Nuriko had to grin too.
Hotohori, on the other hand, didn't seem to like these jokes."Enough now. ... Tamahome, you said you were looking for Miaka."
Tasuki and Tamahome stopped joking and turned to the emperor. "Yes, your highness."
"It's in my library. I'm sure you will find it there."

Just as Tamahome was about to start running, Miaka came up to them. In her hands she held a thick black book with gold writing.
“I found a really great book.” She spoke quickly, as always, while holding the book up in the air.
Now everyone could see the title of the book. It was labeled: "Worlds flowing together."
"What is the book about?" Asked Chichiri, apparently interested, while Tasuki yawned bored. After all, he couldn't read, and Tamahome didn't seem particularly interested either.
"It's about the fact that a rift has arisen out of many worlds that run parallel to each other. This rift leads to another world into which different groups are drawn.... Sounds exciting, don't you think? ", Miaka explained and looked at her friends expectantly.
"Yes, very much. Just read something.", Said Nuriko and clapped her hands with enthusiasm. "But only very briefly. So ..."
Miaka opened the first page. But there was no text to be seen. The book contained only white pages.
Just as the guardian of Suzaku was about to close the book in disappointment, a crack appeared in the middle of the book.

Everyone present screamed at the same time as the book opened in front of them and they seemed to swallow. The book closed, but only some smoke remained. The six people were as if swallowed by the earth.
