9. Deus ex Machina

A new day had dawned in the world of Spira. The world had been at peace for a year now. (Sin) and Vegnagun were long forgotten. And the former medium Yuna finally had her beloved Tidus back. So there was peace in her heart too. The quiet time that it brought was to last forever, as nobody wanted to risk a war anymore. The Young League and New Yevon continued to work together, and the Machina faction often helped the groups too.
However, one fine day it happened that a machina was found that was from the war 1000 years ago. Fearing that the machina, like Vegnagun, might be evil, it was taken to Yevon's headquarters. To the city of Bevelle, where Chancellor Baralai also lived.
Of course, he wanted to ask a genius for advice on "found Machina". And since Shinra was currently in Bikanel, they asked another person for advice.

"Well, Baralai, you wanted to see me."said Gippel, clapping his friend on the shoulder.
"A machina was found on Besaid. Lulu and Wakka brought it here together with the seagull pack. I could use your help.", Answered the young chancellor.

"Where is Doctor P.", asked Gippel and turned the pyramid-like machina in a circle. Countless lamps shone on the side of the machina and it also showed a large number of buttons.
"She stayed at Celsius, along with Brother and Boody.", Rikku replied.
"What the button is for," muttered Baralai and flipped a switch.
A bright light spread all over the room, and an impenetrable mist filled the whole room.
Vivediny was crying and Rikku and Yuna were screaming.
When the smoke had subsided, the machina was still on the table, but the people gathered around it seemed to have disappeared without a trace.
