Sasuke walked back and forth in his house without a word. He thought hard about what to do, he had just learned that his brother Itachi should be here near the village of Konoha. It was already o'clock and slowly they had to report to Tsunade. He was still thinking of a solution. Naruto thought too, he didn't want to lose his very best friend. They met Sakura at the house where the orders were issued. As always, she greeted Sasuke with an exaggerated smile. Ino and she were still fighting for a kiss from him.
As they read through the assignment more closely, they noticed something. He was different than usual. "It takes a maximum of 3 months to do this!" Says Sakura, a little skeptical. "It takes time to get to the border between Suna and Konoha, doesn't it?" Sakura asked Naruto."Yes, about a week or two at most, but if we go now, maybe we can be there a little earlier!" Said Naruto. Sasuke followed the two of them with slow steps. Naruto noticed that he was falling further and further back, so he decided to go over to him for a moment. "Sasuke, stop thinking about him now, you will come to your revenge!" He swept at him. This startled now from his thoughts and looked in his face. "It's okay, I'm hurrying up!" Stammered the addressed one. With a quick look at his friend, he walked up to Sakura, followed by Naruto. Kakashi had to stay in the village because he was training other students.
Together they continued towards the border. They were still in the forest, moving as silently as possible. When Naruto heard it crack, he stopped and checked if there was an enemy ninja nearby. It was just an animal, of course, but you couldn't be careful enough.It was slowly but surely evening and they set up camp in the forest clearing. Meanwhile, Sakura was supposed to collect firewood while Sasuke set up the tents. Naruto got some food. They chatted around the campfire and argued about who would take the first watch. Naruto took the first, Sakura the second, and Sasuke the last.
Naruto looked very carefully across the camp, since the others were already asleep. He looked across the camp to keep an eye out for possible enemies to attack. So passed the first watch and the second. The third was also very calm. The next morning they sat together again, everyone was still a bit tired, but work had priority. Together they dismantled everything and packed the stuff in the backpacks that she had with her. Not much had changed, they were still moving very quietly and quickly. But they had only made it a quarter of the way. Maybe they would actually manage to break the previous record.In the village people worried if they couldn't kill the person because they didn't know what the perpetrator looked like. Kakashi trained with his new protégés, as they also seemed to be very talented. Even Rock Lee was worried about Sakura. (Well, love) "Rock Lee, please concentrate, we're not here for pleasure!" Tenten hissed at him. But Tsunade was sure that she would make it. But what if not?

The group was still sneaking through the forest closer to where they were supposed to kill the killer. But when it was afternoon, they stopped for a moment to take a little break.
"I don't like it!", Sasuke whispered to his little friend. "Neither do I, it's too quiet!" He replied softly. Sakura hadn't noticed anything from this conversation, but she also thought that it was too quiet, actually they should have come across some opponents who were attacking them. After a short break, the small group set off again.Sasuke and Naruto were very attentive now as never before. Suddenly he stopped. And said something to his friend. "Duck quickly!"
They did so immediately. Naruto tossed a kunai in a direction where he felt a large amount of chakra. Now Sasuke also noticed the chakra. But he didn't know who it was from. You can find out who it is when you feel the chakra, who is behind it. (Must be relative or know each other well!) Only he didn't know who to assign it to.
Immediately Sasuke formed finger signs that camouflaged him, he had to find out who wanted to attack her. After a short time he found the culprit. It was a carcass of an animal. He knew something like that. / He won't be around here! / he wondered in his mind. Suddenly a picture of his friends ran through his inner eye. No, that can't be true. Is he the killer they should take out?
He got back to his friends as quickly as he could./ Thank god, nothing happened to them! / he calmed down. He quickly broke the camouflage and surrendered to be recognized. "Naruto!" He called. Naruto came to him immediately. "I need to talk to you!" He whispered to him. "What's going on?" Asked the latter. "I'm in the direction in which you threw the kunai. It was an animal carcass that was provided with a little chakra. It could be dealing with my brother!", Sasuke said to him. . "What, then Sakura is more in danger than you and I, we can at least defend ourselves.", Naruto said a little louder than planned. This made Sakura sit up and take notice. Now you have to tell her, otherwise she would be in too much danger.
So they told her that Sasuke's brother Itachi was here and that he was targeting her now. (I mean the group) So you go ahead, we'll take care of him! They said to her. They suddenly refused, she wanted to stay with them at all costs. So Naruto decided to go away with her.So they left Sasuke alone. Hoping he would come back to them alive.

Now Sasuke was standing alone in the clearing where she had crouched. Now his brother stepped out of the shade of a tree, where he hid himself. Immediately he activated his Sharingan eyes. Since his brother also had it, he used tai-jutsu, so he could not see through it. Itachi smiled shortly before running towards his brother. Sasuke ran up to him too. He quickly drew a kunai and threw it to his older brother, in the hope that it would hit him, since he knew that he was avoiding anyway, he quickly formed the finger marks of the fire hiding place. As suspected, he avoided the kunai and was not prepared for the fire hiding place. It hit in. Very injured, Itachi started a counterattack. Sasuke wasn't prepared for it himself and it hit head-on, but Itachi hit his own attack too. That's how they killed each other. They remained motionless on the cold floor.Naruto knew immediately that his friend was dead, that he shivered for a moment. They arrived at the border in three days and finished off the killer. Two weeks later, they returned to the village, but without Sasuke, whom they found lifeless on the ground on the way back. They buried him and his hated brother so they could rest in peace.
