The birth
Labor had started in the middle of the night.
Anakin Skywalker now stood next to his wife Padme and held her hand. You had been in the delivery room for almost 10 hours and the pain Padme had to endure got worse and worse. Anakin was also tormented by his thoughts of the nightmares he had had the last few nights.

One of the medi-droids suddenly said: "Please get ready! The first one is on the way!"

Almost 11 hours ago he had been reading and brooding alone in the Jedi Council. He had thought of Padme. Of their calm and passion, and of their love! He could use her love.He made his way to her. When he stood in her living room, he felt that something was wrong here. He felt Padme's fear and her pain. He followed these sensations and then he saw them. His wife, huddled together in her bed! He was so helpless when she said, "Annie ... the baby! It's coming !!!" It hit him like a blow. Thousands of thoughts raced through his head. He couldn't put them in order. He couldn't move. He couldn't do anything anymore!

A sudden scream tore him from his thoughts. It was Padmes scream! She was in agony. And he couldn't help her. He could only calm her down and be there for her!
One of the medi-droids now leaned down to Padme.
"Is it a girl?" Asked Padme weakly.
"I still don't know, my darling!" Anakin whispered to her.
He stroked her hair lovingly.
"It's a boy!" Said the droid, holding the child up.
It was wrinkled, red-faced, and its eyes pinched because of the bright light.Padme smiled and reached for the boy. "Luke," she said, touching the forehead of her son, who was lying on the arm of his overjoyed father.
"And a girl!" Said the second droid.
Anakin was stunned.
// Two children? Twins??? I am a father of twins? We could never hide that! //,he thought.
Unlike her brother's, the girl's eyes were wide open and she was looking in Padme's direction. Padme was placed on the chest. "Leia," said Padme and Anakin nodded silently.
He was too happy to spoil this mood with a few meaningless words.
Padme was noticeably weaker, so that Anakin would have to fear that she might die. But the medi-droids reassured the angry father that she was very weak because of the birth of a pair of twins! It was normal, they said.
Padme also fell asleep shortly afterwards and Anakin took Leia and Luke and went into Padme's room. She was still being examined and Anakin had the chance to take care of his children as a father."Well, you two? You are fine, hmm ??? You kept your mommy and me pretty busy! Well! For now you have to be content with me, because your mommy has to rest!", He said affectionately his children.
Padme, who was still awake, heard this and was overjoyed that Anakin got along well with the children.
But she also knew that she couldn't hide the twins!
