Waves hit the cliffs, the wind blew through thick black hair. A boy barely fourteen looked out to sea and cried. He was to blame for everything, now he understood why his sister felt such a hatred for him. She had said it clearly, with tears in her eyes. He was to blame, first for the death of the mother, whom he had never really known, and then for the death of the father, whom he could not remember either.

He looked into the water, here it had been. This is where his father jumped to his death thirteen years ago. His father could no longer bear to stay with his son, who had taken his wife from him.
