Deep Fear
It's night. The moon shines clear. The stars twinkle and shine on a park.
Two people sit on a bench, their gaze directed towards the sky. She shivers - he notices it. Moves closer, pulls her close, puts your arm around her, tries to warm her.
But she doesn't feel its warmth. His touch makes her tremble. For them it is cold and rough, like the bench they are sitting on, only serving the purpose.
He notices her discomfort, lets go of her, frowns, looks for her gaze. She evades, collapses her hands in her lap - is silent. He leans forward to her hand.
He has known her feelings for a long time, feels the warmth of her touch, the tenderness that emanates from her. But he cannot answer it. The fear is too great. The proximity to painful. But when he is alone - with the darkness
connected - longing consumes him. Only then does he realize that he needs her - she wants her.
She sighs, continues to look at the sky, suddenly speaks, pulls him out of his thoughts. As always, he listens to her voice, hears her sweet sound. And as always, he feels the urge to kiss her.
He pulls her back to him. Touch her - tenderly this time. Strokes her hair. Give her his warmth. She feels it. The cold is slowly disappearing. A sigh can be heard from him, she joins in.
She is in his arms, looks him into his eyes. The proximity causes both of them pain. The fear grows stronger, becomes stronger in the heart. But the longing is stronger, surrounds them both and protects them for this moment.
He pulls her close, pushes her closer, then kisses her. She gently returns the kiss, breaks up after a while, looks at him sadly.
The fear surrounds them again. Holds both hearts captive. They let go of each other. Look towards the sky again.
"It will never be more between us, will it?" She broke the silence.
"No, never," he replied.
The two sighs. She's starting to get cold again. He pulls her to him, tries to warm her. But she only shivers even more.
