Prologue: Winter evening - painful memories

Her warm breath hit the cold pane and left a slight mist. She raised her hand and wrote the letters "C + L" on the window pane. Her pretty eyes glittered as she looked at the two letters.
"Cara?", She asked quietly into the room and heard how the addressed woman got up from the bed and came closer.
"Mh?"
Tender hands wrapped around her from behind and the younger girl happily leaned her head back, right on Cara's shoulder.
"Do you know what day it is today?""Of course, Leila. How could I forget something like that?" Replied the violet-haired girl and gently stroked Leila's cheek and nestled her cheek against the little one.
Cara gently ran her hand over Leila's stomach and finally placed it on her heart.
"The wounds are deep, the pain has never subsided. I still remember it as if it was yesterday ... this injured being who looked at me with wide eyes. The arms full of blood, the eyes full of tears. I wanted it inside take my arms and comfort, but I couldn't. I was too hurt myself. Destroyed - by drugs, alcohol and hatred of people. ", she breathed into the blonde's ear.
Leila sighed and put her little hand on Cara's.
"You know ... there are moments when I don’t think about our pain. When I’m just happy that you’re with me.", She whispered lovingly and caressed the older man’s back of the hand."That means you don't want to anymore? Do you remember our promise?"
"Of course I do. But ... didn't we swear back then that we would be happy together? Aren't we?" Leila said and her voice had something of sadness.
"Yes, but I thought ... we would only be happy if we were together forever ..." Cara involuntarily hugged the other girl a little tighter.
"Are we going at least? We don't have to do it ..." she finally asked and turned Leila to her.
She nodded and snuggled up to her lover.
"Maybe we'll jump after all ..."
"Maybe."
