Chapter: The start of a new journey

The start of a new journey

This is my first Shamanen King fanfic, which means that the characters don't exactly match those in the series, and the story is fictitious.

It was now more than a month since Yo had defeated Hao and he had become Shaman King. It felt as if it had been yesterday.
He fought with all his might to defeat him. It wasn't easy this fight, not only because Hao was very strong, but also because he had to fight his own brother. Hao had done many terrible things that he couldn't forgive him in the world, but despite all that, he was his only brother and he knew that nothing in the world could change that.
But it was clear to him that he had to win this fight, for the sake of peace, and so it came that Yo mobilized all his strength and took the final blow, and Hao missed the definitive final blow. Hao fell into the river below. He splashed into the water, and the stream carried him with it.
Yo wanted to save him from the floods, but he had neither the strength nor the chance to do so. He had spent all his strength.
His body no longer wanted to move, no longer wanted to get up, slowly everything began to blur in front of his eyes, the only thing he could still see was Hao's white cloak, which got stuck on a tree in the current (but only a rag, before he finally passed out.
He woke up in the hospital days later. He didn't know anymore, but could guess when the next day all his friends came to visit him. Meanwhile, Yo was back at home and, as always, was sitting in the room with his headphones and listening to music. He was now the Shaman King, he knew that, but couldn't be very happy about it and he didn't know why. The marriage with Anna was not what seemed so troublesome to him, because he knew that he would marry Anna as soon as he was Shaman King, but what was it then? What tormented me so much? He did not know. Until suddenly Anna came into the room and pulled the headphones out.

"Why did you do that?" Yo asked absently.
"So that you finally wake up! It can't go on like this! That you've been so boring since the fight against Hao! It's just not you, Yo!
"How did you come up with it? That it had something to do with Hao?"
"Very simple! Because you believe Hao is dead and you feel responsible for it ... which you are not! And you should slowly realize that!"
answered Anna in a calm and gentle tone.
"But I know ... somehow everything has changed since I knew the truth.
It's strange, but ... since then I've felt the connection between us more clearly than ever ... I just can't explain why? Can you tell me?"
"I think it's because he is very similar to you in some things, as is sometimes the case with twin brothers. You felt that. That's why the bond between you has become stronger than ever. And that's what pulls you down. "
"What do you think I can do about it?"
"Not at all! But if you care so much ... all you can do is try to find him."
"Do you really think ... that he is still alive? He fell into the river and was swept away by the current. Do you think he really survived?"

Anna went up to him and leaned down to him. She took her finger and touched his chest. (As, now don't misunderstand anything Ok. She just pointed to his heart to make something clear to him.) Yo didn't know what that meant, but he knew that Anna had her reasons for what she was doing. Now she began to speak again.

"I can only trust my feelings ... but you know the answer to your question, better than anyone. Both of you have been connected here. You alone are able to know whether he is alive."

Anna got up again and went to the door, but before she left the room she spoke to Yo again."If you care so much about him, you should go look for him and make sure he's okay." Anna wanted to leave now when Yo said something else.

"Thank you Anna!"

Anna put a slight smile on her lips and then screamed from the room. Yo knew what he wanted now, and that was Hao. Somehow he felt better, because Anna knew what was going on inside him and that he could talk openly with her about it. He decided that same night that he would leave tomorrow morning and look for him. And it was clear to him that he wouldn't go alone.
