+ - + Attack on a village + - +

The early morning sun lays calm and peaceful over the land of Egypt. The little village of Alexandretta was about to lose its life splendidly.

The desert sand was still cool when the first villagers came out of their homes. Among them was 15-year-old Santi. She had long black hair that fell over her back and shoulders. She went out of the house early in the morning to the small village well that stood in the middle of the village.
Slowly and purposefully she walked towards the fountain in order to lower the bucket, which was tied to a rope, to the fountain water. The girl had a small clay vase with her. With the one she filled it and allowed herself a sip of this cool wet. Few of the village were awake and so Santi sat by the well for a while.
Her family was big. She alone had five other siblings, of which she was the oldest of all. Her mother took care of the little ones, her father did his job and she did the housework and cooked. She was the only one who got up so early to have the household at least halfway done. In addition, the air was always fresher and you could work faster. At the latest when a little boy named Jaques came up to the fountain, she took the clay vase and went to her parents' house.
In the kitchen she immediately prepared breakfast. only when she had prepared everything did she wake her mother and siblings. Her father had already woken her when she went outside to the well. The sun warmed the soft sand of the desert, but was not yet so strong.

When Santi had had breakfast, she left the house again. It was approaching noon and the sun was still a bit pleasant at that time. In the market square she sometimes played catch and hide with her little siblings.
The warm sand warmed her feet and was comfortable. The market wasn't that full yet and a lot had happened. Many other people from the village had now gone about their work.Sante bought a few items that they needed for the next few days.

Not too far from the village was a group of horses. She rode towards the village at a moderate pace. It wouldn't take you too long to get there. The men didn't look exactly fine. Her clothes were torn and her skin was rough and bristled with scars. Apparently they were up to no good either.

Santi who was on the market had now arrived at a stand where she needed a lot. She paid for the sesterces and turned around. A short time later you could hear horses feeding in this village.
Santi just wanted to go home. But the men on the horses were faster and so they had taken the village within minutes. Santi had disappeared from the earth. The men on the horses kill the men and children robbed the houses. Abducted the younger women between the ages of 14 and 19. Jewelry, gold or similar items were stolen.Late in the evening there was no more news from the horses or the men. Santi, who had accidentally fallen into the well of the village, now climbed up to the surface. She peered carefully at the village. Because of her clumsiness, she fell in there.
The 15-year-old now entered the village floor from the well.
the sight of her bot made her breath catch. Villagers' bodies were seen everywhere. Santi checked some of them whether they were still alive. But it was clearly too late for this one.
When she got to her parents' house, she found that her entire family had been killed. She alone was the only survivor.

In the middle of the night a small shadow staggered out of the village of Alexandretta. Santi's whole body was shaking because the night in Egypt is quite cold. She didn't even know where to go. The nearest village was miles away.
But where should she go? So far the girl hadn't spoken, let alone cried. The pain was deep inside her and it didn't let her start sobbing.
She ran slowly out into the desert. She sat down on a rock that protruded from the sand to sleep. Snti fell into a restless and spaceless sleep. She sincerely hoped this was just a dream she had experienced.
