Chapter 4:

Seth led the girl into the PAlast kitchen first. There she saw de Cefkoch and his staff at the mercy of their looks. Seth explained to you that she is the new kitchen helper.

"From today she will be your kitchen helper. She is silent. Isn't that what you wanted?" He said. The cook and the others nodded. Santi pulled away behind him and held on. The chef scared her.She didn't want to work here, especially if she was scared. The kitchen wasn't particularly brightly lit, that alone made her look gruesome.
Seth looked at Santi. He noticed that she was trembling. // She doesn't seem to want to ride here ... // he thought and sighed. "Well, I have another girl. I will send her to you. In the meantime I will accept her.", Seth said and pulled Santi outside. Away from the kitchen. Glances followed them.

When he reached Seth's room upstairs, he sent his girl who served him faithfully downstairs to the kitchen. He kept Santi himself here. Santi liked the room better, it was brighter and increasingly friendlier. The black-haired woman didn't really know what to do and so she sat quietly against the wall next to the door. Seth got some new clothes for her to wear.
"Put this on here, that's a little more appropriate. Then you can start your work. I'll tell you something and you bring it to me. Understood?", he said and asked. Santi nodded slightly.
// Does he want to stay here when I change ... // thought the girl. Seth noticed that she was looking at him. // That's right, she's a girl ... there are differences ... // he said to himself in his mind. Briefly he left his room so that Santi could change in peace. A short time later he went back to his room. His new servant looked good in what she was wearing.
"Good. If you would be so kind and at least write down your name for me so that I can at least speak to you.", He smiled. (Seth and smile in one sentence .... O.O)
He gave her a parchment and a pen to write her name with. It took her a while to start writing her name on that parchment. Slowly she gave it back to the priest.
"So your name is Santi. A nice name.", He said and she just nodded. "So you should know that I am busy at all times. If you try to escape, you will be punished with death.Don't even try to think about it, little one! In four days you will have my license plate branded so that no one confuses you. "added the brown-haired man with a laugh.
She listened but it went from one ear to the other. (1)
// Brand ... no, that hurts like hell ... I don't want that, I'd prefer the kitchen ... this one is crazy ... // shot through her head when she heard the brand. Santi just looked at him couldn't believe what she was hearing. It was her own fault, what did she have to show her fear in the kitchen, now she was sitting with a crazy priest who wanted to brand her. The first time Santi thought of an escape. But she knew how it was punished.
"Will you bring me the cloak that is on the big bed, Santi?" He ordered and got his millennium staff. Santi didn't want to move at first, but then she preferred to move and get the cloak. Gently she handed it over to its owner."Well, go," he said and left the room. She was left there alone.

The 15 year old was deeply tired, she had hardly slept in the cages, let alone closed her eyes. It seemed like she was falling over from tiredness. Before that happened, she wondered why she didn't lie down in the nice big bed. She did it even though it was forbidden. In a few minutes, however, her eyes closed.
Seth, who had done his work in the meantime, came back to his room late in the evening. He had left her there all day. He wanted to see how she was doing. He also wanted to show her her bedchamber, where Santi could sleep. But when he found out that she was snuggled into the blanket asleep in his bed, he smiled.
// So she was so tired ... then I will probably skip my sleep today ... //, thought the priest and looked at her. Her face was like that of an angel. One who walked the earth in human form.Santie slept quietly at night and continued to snuggle into the duvet and the large bed in which she was lying. She didn't notice that Seth entered the room again.

Early in the morning she was awakened by the rays of the sun falling through the balcony door. She sat up sleepily and looked around. Suddenly she heard steady breathing and looked at the person. That was the priest who wanted to give her this work in the kitchen and now she was working for him.
// Oh no, it is forbidden to sleep in his master's bed ... I will surely be punished ... // she howled in thought. However, she made no sound and so she waited for him to wake up.
Slowly, careful not to utter a sound or make any noise, she slipped off the big bed. Then she finished it. When it became too colorful for her, since her master was still asleep, she woke him roughly roughly. The priest was startled, but he could not shout, he was forbidden to do so.Santi had preferred to wake him up, but she wondered how. So she hadn't decided on the bucket of water.
