Shippo quickly hopped up a tree, but could only see Inuyasha's red coat. "That was Inuyasha. Where is he going?" Shippo asked. "Inuyasha?", Kenji asked astonished. "He probably has a clue to Umiyoku's whereabouts," he added. Miroku looked questioningly at Kenji. "You both go to the village! I'm trying to follow him!", Kenji said and before either of them could say anything he had disappeared into the undergrowth. "Now what?" Asked Shippo. "We should definitely let the others know!" Said Miroku and went on. Koga also saw Inuyasha from a distance. "Look at this. Obviously he knows something I don't!" He said, and ran after him as fast as he could.
Umiyoku seemed to be walking aimlessly through the forest. In his right hand rested the splinter of the jewel of the four souls, which only shimmered black.Umiyoku's eyes had turned jet black as well. He looked like he was in a trance. But somehow he followed an invisible trail that led him into a wide field. There were beautiful flowers everywhere that were in full bloom. A few figures were walking about a kilometer away. Sesshoma was able to fend off with his sword and took a step back. But Umiyoku did not let up. He struck again. Though his sword looked fragile, it was solid as diamond. Sesshoma fell back more and more. Until Yaken went a little deeper and created a vortex of fire with his head staff that enclosed Umiyoku.Sesshoma backed away a little while Umiyoku fought the fire, which eventually went out. Umiyoku went down on his knees. "I see. So fire is your weak point!" Said Sesshoma. Yaken jumped down next to his master. "I'll stand by your side!", He said and held his head stick in Umiyoku's direction again. He looked really angry now, but Yaken let go of another burst of fire in his direction. Umiyoku, however, dashed past him and struck. But Sesshoma fended off the blow and hurled Umiyoku through the air. Then he ran after him and had an exchange of blows with him, in which neither of the two could seem to gain the upper hand. Finally Umiyoku backed away a little. "You have no idea who you are dealing with!" Said Umiyoku. The black jewel in his hand began to glow, and so did his eyes. "Now I'll show you what I can do with this power!" He shouted and the ground around him suddenly froze to ice.Then huge icicles came out of the ground, which was now freezing faster and faster. Sesshoma jumped high while Yaken was trapped and frozen in a fountain of ice. Rin went down with Bokurun and ran to Yaken, whom she was now trying to free. "Lame tricks!", Sesshoma said and hit again with Tokujin. The sword ate its way through the ice and destroyed the layer. Umiyoku now raised his hand in the direction of Sesshoma and created ice spears, which he threw at Sesshoma. But he destroyed it with one blow from his sword and landed again on the ground. But that was what Umiyoku had expected. Suddenly Sesshoma's feet froze to the floor. "What's that supposed to be?" He asked, trying to loosen her. Umiyoku laughed. "You're about to be history!"
