In 1839 a brown haired well built vampire roamed the streets of Inverness, his name was Anicus.
As he was roaming the streets in search of a victim, he suddenly heard a beautiful song, he followed the melody and looked through a window, there was a young woman who was eyeing her reflection in the mirror. The young woman noticed the presence in front of the window and flashed her fangs and then mentally conveyed to Anicus: "Come in, I won't bite."
So Anicus stepped into the room in which this woman lived. He looked her up and down and noticed her beauty. The woman smiled and then said: "My name is Katrin, may I ask what brings you here?" Anicus was startled from his thoughts. “I'm Anicus, I was so enchanted by your voice that I followed it.” A slight reddish tint rose in Katrin's cheeks. "Thank you for this compliment. You don't seem to have been in Inverness long, otherwise I noticed you."" Well I only got here tonight. "Katrin now looked Anicus up and down and it struck her that he was very well dressed." May one ask what brings her here. You look like you already have a permanent home somewhere. “This time Anicus started smiling.” My thirst led me to this city. But then I heard her lovely singing, what kind of song was that? "Katrin looked shyly at the floor and replied:" A Gaelic song, my mother once taught me to do it. "" It was beautiful, do you sing often? "" Actually only when I'm alone, I have to admit I realized too late that there was still a vampire here in Inverness. "Anicus looked at her and then said:" But that could have been dangerous. But don't worry, I won't harm you, I'm a peaceful vampire, I'd rather be with someone than against it. "Katrin smiled.
The longer the two talked that night, the tighter the bond between them became.Anicus had finally found a listener and Katrin had finally found someone to listen to. Katrin even sang a short Gaelic song to Anicus, who was immediately enchanted by it. Anicus didn't even notice how time passed.
When Katrin looked out the window she noticed that the morning was already dawning. "Dear Anicus, you never manage to find shelter until sunrise, I offer you to come with me to my crypt and lie down there to sleep." The offer was very tempting for him, he wondered if it wasn't would really be better, in the end he agreed.
Katrin took a candle from a chest of drawers and then unlocked the door to the secret passage, she waved to Anicus that he should follow her. He carefully walked behind her. Downstairs in the room was a black coffin with incised ornaments, from which Katrin took a pillow and a thick blanket and laid it on the floor for Anicus. "I hope that's enough for you, if not then tell me."Anicus lay down on the blanket and pillow and grinned." It's wonderfully soft and very comfortable, thank you. "Katrin blew out the candle and lay down too." If anything, I'll leave the lid open. "Sleep overwhelmed Katrin faster than Anicus, so he sat up and looked at the sleeping Katrin again before he was overwhelmed by sleep too.
At the beginning of the next night, Katrin sat on her coffin and waited for Anicus to wake up, when he finally woke up she smiled at him and said: "Well, did you sleep well?" Anicus grinned at her and nodded, that started one for both of them wonderful time, they hunted together, Anicus told Katrin countless stories and Katrin sang something to Anicus almost every night, it went on for over 300 years.
One night, Anicus told again one of his many stories, the two were suddenly attacked by strange vampires, Anicus let some of them burn with the gift of fire but there were too many.Katrin was driven into a corner and attacked there with swords and torches, Anicus tried to rush to her but was stopped. One of the innumerable vampires put Katrin's skirt in the fire, the fire spread over her whole body, Katrin suffered agony, Anicus got so angry that all the strange vampires caught fire and burned when he finally came to Katrin, it was just too late you could still see her skeleton and when he touched it it crumbled to dust. Anicus was so saddened by this loss that he went downstairs to the room, locked the doors and lay down to sleep forever.
