Another World

Chapter 3

"Stand up, you can, right?"
I only stood on one leg, while I only slightly angled the other and placed myself on the other.
"Good!" He mumbled. Now I saw that he was definitely over a head taller than me. He turned around and said:
"Now get on my back!"
"I should do something? I don't do that!" I replied angrily.
He turned back but didn't look me in the face and sighed:
"If that is the case, you will just be forced!"
The next moment he grabbed my hip and flung me over his back. "Hey, what's that supposed to be!" I scream upset.
"We both know you can't really walk!"
And then he went off with quick steps, I noticed every step. Though I still clutched my blood-soaked sword, I didn't dare use it.
"Where are you going?" I asked, kicking my feet wildly.
"Hey, stop it, otherwise I'll let you fall and then you might break an arm and besides, even if you don't break an arm, the impact is not exactly comfortable for you!""But where are you going?"
"Wherever you wanted to go!"
'That answer, he could have saved himself! I thought.
After all, I hadn't told him where I was going. But since I didn't want to hurt myself any more, I kept still.

After 10 minutes of silence, he asked:
"Now left or right?"
"How should I see that?"
Eragon turned slowly.
"We have to go to ..."
But then he interrupted me.
"The Urgals followed us!" He hisses. Then he ran to a barrel and sat me in there and said to me
"Shut up! Don't make a sound! Do you hear?"
I just nodded and he closed the barrel again. I silently pressed my legs even closer to me. A sharp pain twitched through my body. Outside I heard the clink of swords crashing into each other. Then came an outcry from a hit Urgal.
Through a gap in the barrel I saw that there were only 2 Urgals left. Suddenly one of the two came up to me, I prayed to God that for some miracle, the Urgal would not discover me.But praying was hopeless. I noticed how the barrel slowly tilts to the side and finally fell over and I rolled out of the barrel. The Urgal was standing directly above me, with a malicious grin. Then he bent down, as quickly as possible I lifted my sword and rammed it into the Urgal's abdomen. But I shouldn't have done that because the Urgal didn't fall backwards, but forwards. I still tried to move as far as possible to the feet of the Urgal so that I wouldn't get my whole body off. Still, he caught me with his big feet. In the next moment Eragon came to my aid, lifting the Urgal's legs so high that I could crawl out.
"Be glad you just got your feet off!" He joked. After a short silence he asked:
"Where are you actually going?"
"To the hostel, which is on the edge of Daret!"
So he threw me over his shoulder again, after 10 minutes we reached the hostel, which was still standing.I hopped on one leg into the stable. The first thing I wondered about was that I couldn't hear horses neighing. Then saw that the horses were lying there with their heads severed. Then I looked at the wall where there was something with blood on it:
`AHGRAT UKMAR. ONO DRAJL! ´
I hopped backwards out of the stable, which now only looked like a slaughterhouse. I almost vomited again, but I pulled myself together, but even so I carefully sat down on the floor. Then Eragon went into the stable and came out with a blank expression.
"What was it on the wall?"
He looked at the floor, "There it said, 'That's how it should be. You Mardenbrut.' It is probably addressed to whoever the horses belonged to."
I swallowed hard and still sat on the ground like a small child who cannot walk. A shout of jubilation could be heard from far away. "Hey Miriam! Almost all Urgals have disappeared. Are you okay?" She beamed all over her face, you could see that from afar, but I didn't really understand her joy. When she reached me, her gaze wandered between me and Eragon until she finally asked:
"And who are you?"
"I am Eragon!"
The two shook hands, whereupon Susi walked to the stable.
"Don't go into the stable!" I called to her.
"Why not ?"
"It looks like a slaughterhouse in there!" I replied, but I ignored her and went into the stable. After a few minutes she came out with the same expressionless expression as Eragon. Nobody said a word until suddenly a somewhat disheveled young man appeared whom Eragon apparently recognized. As he immediately came up to him laughing and asked:
"Why were you gone so quickly all of a sudden?"
"Had something to do!" Eragon simply replied.
I looked up to be able to recognize the type a little more precisely, then it struck me that they all suddenly looked so big. Because I was embarrassed to just sit on the floor the whole time, so I got up with one foot, luckily Susi came to help me, otherwise I almost fell over. When she only stood on one leg, Susi was confused:
"What happened to them?" Then she added with a whisper,
"And where did you pick up this Eragon?"
"Regarding question 1, I have to say that I was pretty clumsy. And I will answer question 2 later."
Then Eragon came up to us with his friends.
"This is Murtagh!"
Susi and I also shook hands with him when I noticed that Murtagh and Susi had been looking at each other for a long time. Then he looked at me and said:
"I saw you on the main street, you didn't get your sword from the Urgal!" I heard Susi clap her hand on her forehead, I knew exactly what she was thinking at that moment, `Oh my God! `
But without uttering a peep, she strutted into the inn, giggling. Then I looked at the sky, where the sun could already be seen a little. Suddenly the flying fire-breathing lizard shot from the sky, it landed next to Eragon, but he ignored it. The lizard came up to me with great strides.I quickly jumped a few meters back. But the lizard came even closer to me, although I was terrified of the cattle, I stopped because the hopping was quite strenuous.
I looked at the ground for a while, but when I looked up again the cattle were so close that their heads were only 1 meter away from mine. The lizard looks at me very closely with its large sapphire blue eyes, it almost looked as if it wanted to pierce me with its bluck. I narrowed my eyes to an evil look. Then the cattle snorted, small clouds of smoke coming out of their nostrils, and in the next moment they were gone again. For a long time I looked after the animal as it flew elegantly through the air. But then my gaze wandered to Eragon, I was frightened, he looked at me too.
`had he really seen everything? A slight grin played on his lips, then he looked at the floor.
Then I was sure
`He had seen everything, how embarrassing!`
I looked impatiently in the direction of the door, hoping that Susi would open the door, luckily she did too. Reassured, I hopped into the hostel, where Susi had to help me. There were already 2 chairs opposite each other.
"Sit down!" She ordered me, pointing to the chair on the left. The next command was: "Give your foot here!" When she held my foot in her hand, she yelled at me
"There's nothing there!"
"It's also clear when it was done with magic!" I replied stubbornly, rolling my eyes. For some reason I was in a pretty bad mood, but I didn't know where it was from.
"Who closed it?"
"Eragon, who else?"
With these words she went out to the door and asked him to come in. Apparently Murtagh felt so alone outside, which is why he came in.
"Don't want to watch that!", Suzy warned him.
"Don't worry, I won't fall from my chair if I see blood!"
'What are they going to do with me?´, I asked myself. An uncertainty plagued me inside because I didn't know what was going to happen next. Just as Eragon had closed my calf, he put his hand on my calf and spoke with a very focused look:
“Losna Kalfqaiet!” It felt like my calf was torn open again. I felt the blood flow over my foot and then touch the floor with a dripping noise. I covered my eyes because I thought if I looked it would hurt even more or I would throw up again.
"That looks bad!" Hissed Suzy in a worried voice.
"The way it looks we have to sew it."
My eyebrows rose.
“Sew what?” But my voice sounded rather desperate and helpless.
"Yes, and we'd better do that right away!"
With that, she went upstairs to fetch a needle and thread, which made me lie on my stomach. To make it a little more comfortable, I put my arms crossed under my head as a pillow. Then came the first stitch in my leg, followed by the second stitch, this was so great that my fingernails bored into my upper arm.
Fortunately, after 10 subsequent stitches, it was over. Sighing, I turned on my back and tried to get up by pulling myself up by the chair. With a rumbling noise, the chair fell to the floor.
I sighed, Eragon offered his hand to me, where I pulled myself up. Then I put the chair back down and sat on it.
Eragon took the opposite chair, sat down on it and pierced me with his gaze. But I just watched my foot and turned it a little. Still staring at my foot, I asked:
"Do these cattle belong to you?"
His brow furrowed.
"What do you think?"
"Well, that flying lizard!" I sighed, rolling my eyes again.
"Yes, and the cattle is a you and is called Saphira! And neither is she a flying lizard or a cattle! She is a dragon! ", he snapped at me and looked at me suspiciously.
For the first time we looked each other in the eye, even if that look wasn't very friendly, it looks at me. It was very clear then that he could hardly be 20
`because an adult would have reacted completely differently than he did. 'it went through my head.
`Now I have to know! `I gathered up all my courage.
"How old are you?", I crossed my arms over my chest and looked at him expectantly.
"I'm 18! And I think you're a lot younger than me, right?" He replied, whereupon he leaned forward and raised an eyebrow. I was about to start but he interrupted me
"Don't say it! I already know you're 12 or 14 in between!"
He stretched and put his hands
