Fly

Chapter 2
-Fly-

There was a knock on the door and some difficult-to-understand words reached the ear of the girl who was about to get up.
With her eyes still closed, she pushed her covers away and swung herself awkwardly out of her bed.
She was still tired.
Too tired, but it was time to get ready for school.
With a sigh she opened her deep blue eyes and winced when the door rattled again.
Then it was quiet for a long time, only the girl's breaths could be heard.
Her slender hands trembled and she waited anxiously for her mother's next reaction, but nothing came.
No door shaking, no screaming, no knocking.
The slamming of the front door could only be heard softly.
Your mother was gone.
The girl exhaled noisily and slowly slid down the closet to sit on the floor.
She felt as if her legs couldn't hold them any longer and she felt sick. Her heart was still beating wildly as she tried to swallow her tears.
She didn't want any more.
It was too much.
Everything was too much.

The only consolation was her dream.
Your dream…
The only thing that saved her.
The only thing that kept her alive.
Yes, it wasn't enough for her.

Slowly she let herself slide to the side and finally lay entirely on the black carpet.
She looked sadly through her room, a room as bleak and empty as she herself felt every day.
No photo of anyone, she had no one, no friends, no real family, just a mother.
A mother who wasn't really a mother.

Again the girl began to cry.
It took some pain away from her, but not enough.

"There's only one thing that can take the pain away from me!" She whispered softly.

There was a way to forget everything.
To forget everything that she had ever seen.
There was a way to turn your back on the world she'd burned and abandoned. She was there, she knew it.
She just had to learn.
Learn to fly.

With awkward movements, she swayed to her feet.
She turned mechanically towards her window. And slowly walked towards it.
Your chance to fly.
Your only way to escape.

With trembling hands she opened the windows.
A lukewarm spring breeze came towards her and carried the voice from her dream to her ear.
It was as if the voice wanted to greet them.
As if she wanted to encourage the girl.

Her slender fingers gripped the window railing and she pulled herself up on it.
She leaned out with her eyes closed.
Felt the wind in her hair, heard the voice she called, or yelled the voice not to do it?
She didn't know and it didn't matter.
Because in that one moment, that brief moment, she felt alive for the first time in her life.
For the first time she felt the joy, the longing for something unknown to her, the longing to never be here again. With a quick movement, she slid her foot over the edge of the window.
The wind blew around her face once more, making her hair dance in the sunlight like liquid gold.
A smile fell on her lips.
She felt free, the breeze relieved her of all burdens.
And so, feeling completely weightless and bliss, she jumped.

2nd chapter

It was a moment of complete calm, complete inner calm.
Only the wind around her ears flowed lovingly to her, otherwise there was nothing.
Not even the screams of passers-by on the sidewalk below.
There was only her, she alone.
She alone felt like she was flying.
She alone had the feeling that she could now descend into an endless dream to be able to listen to the voice for all eternity.
Just her alone.

But then she felt it, something, someone was holding her.
Someone grabbed her and caught her foot.
Your flight was over.
The exhilaration disappeared and she was suddenly drawn back into reality. It was something she couldn't fight.
Something she couldn't fight back.

She felt like she was going to burst, lose her wings, and never be able to fly again.
Her stomach tightened, her heart started beating faster.
"Let me fly," she thought convulsively.
She kept thinking about it, wishing it so badly, internally begging for it.

But then suddenly the pain came into her head and with it the darkness that devoured this wish from her.
