Liebe auf den zweiten Blick

two pages or so," he shrugged and plunged into all the paperwork. The fact that Sirius had been waving parchment and quill for a long time didn't seem to interest him.The two young men spent the hours leading up to breakfast copying everything, or at least they were looking for the best of it all in their opinion, because Lily hadn't left out any of the facts. Surely she had found out things that not even the teacher knew and that could outdo them all again. Sometimes it was just helpful when Lily sacrificed herself, because then it became obsolete that others had to hand over the tasks.
Shortly before seven o'clock, Peter trudged slowly down the stairs, still rubbing his eyes. He had read some novel well into the night again, at least he pretended to be, although everyone else thought he was talking to himself. But that didn't help either, he never said anything.
"Hungry," he muttered and walked over to the other two.
"Moony?"
"He's sick ... take a look at the calendar," came the rather bored James, who finally wrote down the last words. He really still managed to do his homework."Oh, is it full moon again?" Sirius grumbled and then stood up. "I'll go see him"
"Do that ... we'll go ahead later," and with these words Peter went ahead.
"Tell me, you little wrongdoer ... will you wait for me?" Sirius growled immediately.
"Boys, now do it halfway ...", James tried to settle the argument, but again a loud battle of words broke out between the two friends. There was nothing left for him to do but roll his eyes and go upstairs himself. If the two of them wanted to quarrel, at least James had to check on his friend, who was always useless on those days.
He entered the room quietly and saw the young man again lying on the bed half dead. The sight hurt, but they hadn't been used to anything else from Remus since they'd known him. It was such a miracle that he was still at this school. It was thanks to Dumbledore's great heart that the boy could be trained as a wizard. But whether it would make it easier for him later was questionable.
"Peter and Sirius, huh?" Remus asked weakly, trying to sit up. He hadn't felt well yesterday, but today it was particularly bad again. There was only one good thing about the transformation and that was that he would be better the day after tomorrow.
With a thin smile, James nodded, pulled up a chair and sat next to Remus on the bed. "The two just can't help it," he started from behind and leaned back. "And with you?"
"The usual, you knew. But well ... after thirteen years hardly anything new," he tried to joke, but preferred to get back into bed properly. He pulled the covers up almost to the tip of his nose, he didn't want to know how miserable he looked on those days. Certainly like a phoenix.
"Well, then we can do a round of Hogesmeade tonight, right? We haven't been down there for a long time. Next weekend would be the date again to spend a few hours there.""And during the holidays, I did some research. We can go down around Christmas too, there aren't that many here."
"I know ... are you staying here? Padfoot is here, Peter probably wants to go home. Of course I'm staying too"
But then he only got a shrug. Actually, Remus was nowhere. He didn't want to go home, but he didn't want to stay here either. Still, he had no one else to go. He always felt so unnecessary when Peter wasn't there. Then Sirius and James hung together incessantly, just caring about their jokes. But then he remembered something else that would be on vacation.
"I think I'll stay," he said casually and turned a little on his side.
"We'd all be happy about that, I guess. Let's turn the school upside down," James grinned broadly again.
"Hey you lovebirds," Sirius entered the room again and sat down on Remus' bed, so that Remus had just the chance to pull his legs in before the buddy would sit on it."Be careful," he whispered.
"Yeah yeah, I'll do it next time, Moony," the young man grinned and stretched once. "Peter is waiting downstairs, of necessity" And the meaningful grin that was on his lips could hardly lie. So Sirius had once again been able to prevail. But what did they expect from him? He was a strong character with even stronger arguments.
"Shall we bring you something, Remus?" James asked as he got up from his seat. He left the chair because it was clear to him that the person lying down would not get up voluntarily today. It was always better when he stayed where he was.
"No, let's go," he just grinned a little. "I'm getting something, I've made sure of it"
"Don't talk," and with that James sat down again. That interested him again. Who would it be providing him with food if they weren't?
"Ask him later," said Sirius simply and pulled the glasses wearer back up. "I'm having fun, so move your bum.See you then, Remus, "he said briefly and then disappeared from the room.
