Once upon a time there was a beautiful day on Destiny Island.
Riku, Sora and Kairi were walking along the beach.
Riku asked: "What does it look like outside the island?"
Sora replied thoughtfully: "I think there are many beautiful worlds besides this one - our home." Sora smiled. It was getting dark and Sora and Kairi went home. But Riku was sitting in a tree and looking at the sea. As he did so, he thought about what Sora had said.
He was determined to ask Kairi and Sora the next morning if they would like to leave the island with him. But when it got light, Sora's mother ran to Riku and told him that Sora had been kidnapped by men in black robes and that if Riku did not join the men, they would kill Sora.
Riku replied to this message: "I will try to bring your son back safely, but where should I find the men?".
Sora's mother said in concern: "I think they want to meet you in Traverse, but please, bring my son back to me!".
Riku set out to gather parts for a raft
