There was a solar eclipse on June 6th. 666 and the moon also avoided that night. People were afraid because such a liquor number could only mean the appearance of the devil. If a child is born today, it should be killed immediately, according to the priests. Three children were born, three were killed. The parents were consoled with the fact that that child was possessed by the devil and could not have lived according to the laws of God. Three children were born all over the world that day. It was known that way. But what if another child had been born that no one had known about? What if that child's mother loved this child too much to have him killed? The mother died when the child was six years old. He couldn't die. Inuyasha was doomed to immortality.

“We ask you to bless this child and protect it from the devil.” The girl smiled. She pronounced a blessing on the newborn child. The crowd - above all the parents, of course - let out a relieved breath. It was the year 1332 and everyone knew that there was a devil from the night of June 6th. 666 had survived. He was 666 years old ... this year the devil had to be especially powerful. Four children are said to have fallen victim to him. If possible, it shouldn't be more. The girl slowly moved away.
She smiled. She always smiled. She was a saint. The angel on earth. She did not commit a single sin. Never. She lived the way God wanted her to live. Her name was Kagome.
It had been a few days since the newborn was blessed. Kagome walked around the area a bit and all the people who saw her threw themselves on the ground and worshiped her. Kagome didn't know it any other way. The reputation preceded her that she could cleanse any sin. Unfortunately, she was not allowed to enter a church, as the priests feared that Kagome would cleanse the church on the spot.Kagome was rarely approached ... often just for a blessing. It was just assumed that she was fine.
She often wished people would talk to her. But she didn't say that. What should she be talking to people about? What should they talk to her about? Kagome kept reminding herself that she was a saint. She did not commit sins, and people believed that if they dared come in contact with her, they would be instantly purified. Kagome sighed. It was like that and it would always be like that.

The wind whistled softly and no one who had professed God dared to go out into the street. The night belonged to the devil. And the devil lived here on earth. Here in this country. And no power seemed great enough to drive this devil out. Not even God's?
He put one foot in front of the other in silence. It was empty in this place, somewhere a shutter creaked softly. He turned his head, it was dark that night. The clouds obscured the bright moonlight, and the tiny sheen of the innumerable stars was not enough to illuminate the lonely young man's face. Who was this that he dared to go outside in the night? Did the devil guide his steps?
Yes.
The man's name was Inuyasha. Inuyasha, the devil who died the night of June 6th. 666 had survived. He was the reason people avoided the night. He was the reason for her fear. The rising wind drove the clouds away and now the moonlight had its chance to bathe the paths in its light. He brushed against a lonely figure, whose golden eyes flashed briefly, then disappeared again into the shadows.

"Kagome! Dear!", Called a good-humored mother's voice through the hut. "Hm?" Said those called sweetly. "Breakfast is ready. Are you coming?" Asked the mother. Kagome smiled and nodded. She got up. Her family were really the only ones who treated her normally. That gave Kagome the strength that kept her going through the day.
"There was an elderly man here asking you to make his daughter well again," said a little boy, who looked up at Kagome. "Good. I'll go to her later. Thanks, Souta," Kagome smiled at the boy who grinned back.
"Miko-sama! Thank God, you're finally here! Just think, my daughter is in terrible pain!" The old man looked harried, and a worried expression lay in his eyes. "Don't be afraid. I'll see what I can do." Kagome smiled and nodded warmly to him. “What kind of ailments does your daughter have?” The man swallowed before he gushed off: “She has had a terrible stomachache, three days already! Miko-sama, please, cure her!” Kagome went carefully into the hut.
There was a young woman lying on the bed, holding her stomach. "Honorable woman ..." Kagome began quietly. The young woman stirred and gave a mixture of "Hm?" and a groan from himself. “I'm here to check on your complaints.” She sat down next to the camp. "Mi ... Miko ... sama ...?" The young woman mumbled softly. "Yes. May I feel your stomach?" The young woman groaned and threw away the covers so that Kagome could put her hand on her stomach.
"Well ... ladies ... if God hasn't left me all alone, I would say that you have a child under your heart," smiled Kagome. "But ... you can't see anything! Don't think that I doubt your words, but ... how do you know that?" Asked the young woman's father, perplexed. Kagome smiled: "Let's say ... a little bird tweeted it to me."

He was standing there. There in the shadow of the house. He heard her. He had heard the words of the saints. A child under your heart? Then he would make it belong to Satan. How could he, Inuyasha, not live according to God's laws? Who said that God was always right? Satan was part of God. God was part of Satan. So either both were right or neither.
Why did he make unborn children belong to Satan? He had to. He had lived that way from the start. He often wondered why everyone first belonged to God. God prescribed a life that could not be lived. Just like the devil. And yet. And yet there was. They both. You and him.
Him, the embodiment of the devil.
She who represented an angel.
Him, Inuyasha.
You, Kagome.
Inextricably linked, until time stands still and God and Satan die ...

The wind tore hard and relentlessly at the clothes of those on the streets. But she, the saint, said the wind was the breath of God. So the believers tried not to let themselves and their children be blown away.
Kagome did not step across the main path. She walked through the streets in the hope of being able to help someone. It was an urge Kagome was unable to control. But that wasn't what she wanted either. It was her wish that everyone was well. She didn't even wonder whether that was feasible.
Kagome saw many people leaning against the walls, but not a single one would accept her help. Did they long for death so much? But ... death belonged to the devil! How could you wish for such a thing?
"By having lost the meaning of life. Not every being is like you."
Kagome winced. What was that? Who had that voice belonged to? And what should their words mean? Did you want to die when you lost your meaning in life? Nonsense! How could you lose him when you had confessed to God? And even if he did, he would be found again for sure!
"No. Never forget who God and the devil are.God is obliged to let people die, just as Satan was obliged to let people come into this world. If no one dies, no one will be born either. That is the law of the rulers of heaven and hell. "
Kagome turned on her own axis, her eyes flicked back and forth unsteadily. This voice! That voice scared her! It was like ringing right in your head! Who was talking to her there? Who in God's name was that? And why did it have such an effect on her?
"I am like you. You belong to God. My Lord is Satan. You are still young and ignorant, holy Kagome. I am old. I would like to die. But this salvation is not yet prescribed to me.
You know I'm right. But you don't want to admit it to yourself. That causes turmoil within you. It is not good if you continue to want people to trust you unconditionally. Accept the truth, holy Kagome.
...
I am waiting for you. Tonight. Under your favorite tree. "
Kagome's heart pounded. What…? Was that voice like her? Just ... the other way around? Yes, in every area. He was old and knew what she didn't know. She was young. Young and naive. Tonight, under your favorite tree? But ... how did he know which one it was? Was he watching her? Even now, right now? She turned around searching.
She didn't see that person in the shadow.

The night sky was pitch black with rain clouds, the water droplets pelted down loudly on the ground. Nobody wanted to be on the streets, but it was her. She ran through the cold rain. Her body was cold and soaked. She didn't know why she was doing this. Or?
Kagome wanted answers. And he could give it to her.

The tree stretched its crown proudly and strong into the dark, rainy night sky. It seemed as if he didn't care about the thunderstorm, the tree was mighty and bristled with heavy tears from the sky.Kagome stopped in her run and looked around. The occasional lightning gave her light, but she couldn't find anyone. Was it all just a delusion? Is it all just an illusion? But if so, then where did that voice in your head come from?
"From me. Just because you can't see me doesn't mean I'm not there, Kagome-sama."
She winced. "Where ... where are you?" She asked softly.
"Here. Behind the tree. Come here, it's not raining that much here. Or do you like the laundry?"
Kagome snorted softly and trudged to the back of the tree. He was right. It didn't rain that much here. Kagome looked down and saw him sitting there, between the roots and staring into the distance. "Please sit down, holy Kagome-sama," he said quietly, without turning his gaze.
She looked at him for a few more seconds, then let herself sink to the ground. "Are ... are you Inuyasha?" She asked
