Shadownight

I had everything explained to me down to the smallest detail, until I said briefly - it was just a look, I hadn't needed an explanation about the car: "That one over there, that's what I was looking for" I had my hands in those Slip coat pockets. I was wearing sunglasses. It wasn't good that people saw my eyes. That would only unsettle her.
The dealer seemed a little indignant at first, because he sighed, wiped the sweat from his forehead with a handkerchief, but then put on a broad smile as I walked to the car that was to be mine.
"Very good choice!" He exulted. "The Aston Martin V8 Vantage suits them exactly"
As if I didn't know myself. I rolled my eyes, but the fat man couldn't see it through the sunglasses.
Black as my soul, so black was the car. Tinted windows. Very good.
That was really the right car for me.
I shrugged a small checkbook, copied the 6-digit number from the price tag and handed it to the dealer.
A few minutes later the car's engine purred and I mingled with the morning traffic.I felt curious glances resting on me.
Weren't people ashamed to stare like that?
After a few minutes of thought, it occurred to me that they couldn't see me through the tinted windows.
I sighed at my stupidity and accelerated when the light turned green.
I turned onto one of those highways.
Freedom.
I smirked to myself before stepping down the gas pedal and driving the V8 Vantage to its peak.
