Chapter 4: A New Accomplice

"What are you doing ??" Yukiko was beside herself. How could her husband pass on her secret thoughts to Ran? "Yukiko, honey, calm down. She wants to wait for him, even though Shinichi didn't ask her to." Yukiko snorted. "So you're doing me a favor, yes or no. If not, then I have to ask our son and you know what's going on, right?" He tried to persuade his wife with psychology. Yukiko knew very well what her son would do then. Apart from his anger, he would fly back immediately. After a while she agreed.

Shinichi had been in LA for 3 months now, going to school, playing soccer and making friends. But one thing was missing. His Ran wasn't with him. He went to the pc. The email account was open. ´Only from one address?´ Just as he was about to open one of the e-mails, his mother came into the room. "SHINICHI! Get out of here, get out of here!" He walked out of the room. His mother's reaction made him curious. Really curious. He had to find out who these emails were from. He was sure that his mother kicked him out because of the emails.
His curiosity was aroused, the curiosity that he had suppressed for months in order not to get back into such a predicament as Conan's time.

Shinichi decided to finish his homework first. "So that's it at last. Whether mom is asleep?" He went out of the room and looked around the house after her. 'Nowhere to be discovered. So she is in bed.´

After four long hours he finally made it.
