A week had passed since the small group picked up the bogie, and Akaya had not found a new candidate for his tribunal since then.
He sat pouting on Rangiku's sofa and watched television.
"What's going on little one?", She put an ice cream in front of his nose and crossed her arms.
"I can't make up my mind ...", he took the ice cream and immediately got on it.
"I'd like your problems. You should make a small selection and give Yagyuu, he'll surely check them out for you.", She suggested.
"It's not that stupid at all," he swung his spoon back and forth and then dipped it back into the creamy mass, "I'll go to him right away tomorrow."
"Yes, do that, then I have to go again. I'll be back soon.", She quietly closed the door behind her and left Akaya alone, who had settled down with her anyway and couldn't get rid of.
As soon as Akaya had finished his ice cream, he went to the documents that Renji had put together for him. He examined the pictures and then his powers and skills and then he went on to the next picture, the next skills and so on.
Time went by very quickly and when Rangiku came back Akaya was lying on the sofa and sleeping. She went over to him and put a blanket over him.
"He can be really cute too," she laughed and then went to bed herself.
Rangiku was at work when the phone rang.
"Hai, Atobe Rangiku ?!", she answered.
"It's Yagyuu.", Came the voice of the man on the other end.
"Ah Yagyuu-san, what is it?"
"Can I meet you at noon today?"
"Sure, what's it about?"
"Akaya wanted me to review some candidates for him and he wanted me to talk to you about it."
"With me?", She looked puzzled, "Why me of all people?"
"I don't know, but it was his express request."
"So orders ..." she laughed.
She was standing in front of the restaurant where she wanted to meet Yagyuu and looked at the inscription. It looked like a pretty expensive restaurant from outside, but that wasn't why it was there now.
"Come on, what are you doing here, Ran-chan?" Someone suddenly put a hand on her shoulder.
She turned around and stared into a pair of turquoise-green eyes: "Ah, I could ask you the same thing, Masaharu."
"Well, well, I asked first," he laughed at her.
"I have an appointment with someone.", She replied shortly and looked out for Yagyuu.
"Did I miss something?", He leaned down a little to her.
"Not really, why?"
"Oh only because you once said you don't go out with guys anymore."
"That's something completely different, I ...", she stopped her sentence when she saw that Yagyuu was walking towards her.
"Ohisashiburi, Niou-kun. Ah, Rangiku-san, you're already there."
Rangiku was speechless.
// Masaharu ... Yagyuu ... why do they know each other? //, she thought, more than astonished.
"What is it, Ran-chan, do you want to put down roots here?" Asked the silver-haired man.
"Ok, why are you sitting there now?", The brown-haired woman raised an eyebrow.
"Because I invited him too and as I can see you two already know each other.", Yagyuu answered her question.
"Yes, we even know each other pretty well ..." Niou grinned at the young woman.
"Pfff, the main thing is that you have fun, Niou-san.", She holed up behind the menu card.
"Ouch, hit! How did I deserve this now?"
Rangiku began to laugh softly: "It's okay, but you shouldn't look at me like that."
At that moment the waiter came and took the orders from the three of them.
"Well, then we can get down to business now.", Yagyuu pushed his glasses up a bit.
"Do you think that this is suitable for his ears?", The brown-haired woman had placed her elbow on the table and was now pointing her thumb in the direction of the silver-haired man.
"He's the reason we're here."
Rangiku looked confused from the glasses to Niou and eyed him."That's impossible, he's just a simple person, why should he ...", she stopped when she saw the grin on the face of the silver-haired man.
"My cover was probably a lot better than your own Ran-chan."
"What the hell?"
"He's a Bashaa.", Yagyuu said and again the waiter appeared and put the drinks on the table. "Bashaa" said something to her, but she just couldn't figure it out.
"I wanted Rangiku to meet you first, but I think we can skip that part. So let's get to what we came here to do."
"As I said, Yagyuu, I wouldn't be averse to joining the whole thing." Niou put his chin on the back of his hand.
"And what do you think of that, Rangiku?"
"It can be annoying, but at least it is reliable." She did not like to admit it, but it was the truth.
"Well then that would be clarified. Anything else?", Yagyuu conveyed.
"I want a decent wage.", The silver-haired man began to make claims.
"Akaya said you can have as much money as you want."
"Well, I suppose so, but I want something else.", His grin widened.
"And that would be?", Yagyuu asked carefully, although he could already guess, he had known him long enough after all.
"I agree!", The brown-haired woman looked at him resolutely and then held out her hand, "But don't think you can allow yourself everything!"
"I understand.", He took her hand and shook it as a sign that the agreement is now sealed.

Well, think that's one of the chapters I like least of all. I don't know exactly why either, but that's the way it is.
I would have liked to have changed more here, but the words really didn't want to come out a bit here o.รณ
