The days passed and we were back in Japan, but now I was missing something, I saw it in the Broken Angel and watched the rehearsals. How I would have loved to stand up there myself and do my thing. I sighed heavily and went back to the paperwork that had been piling up over the past few days. Hitomi had left this morning with the words that she would leave all the stuff to me because I knew more about it than she herself. Every now and then I would like to jump on her neck and strangle her, but that had been the case before. Jack had been getting on my nerves all morning and that meant I didn't have a spare minute. "Take a break, you two." I called to the stage. Hanna and Joan rehearsed in every spare second they had here because they knew that I didn't mind listening to them. "Tell me Lily ..." Hanna began. "What should I say Han?" I asked and looked at her briefly. "Have you heard that Hitomi is trying to find people to perform with her again?" I just nodded because I had heard this news some time ago. "But what if she finds people?" asked Joan. "Then she'll stay here in spite of everything." I paused and looked at them both. "You know Hito is dogged and besides, you care about the music like you two." I got up, put everything together and stepped behind the braids. I put water in front of both of them and then worried that everything was where it belonged. "Lily is it normal that the guy is standing there with Tia?" I looked up and was surprised. "What are you doing here?" I asked and made my way to them with quick steps. "What else should we do?" asked Kai the opposite question. “Mom.” Tia tugged at my skirt. "What the mouse?" she had put on her doggy look. "Lily, we'll go then." Hanna and Joan had just passed us when the phone rang. I reached over the braid and answered."Amber Fukuma from Broken Angel." someone cleared their throat and Kai held the phone in his hand.
Lily was a bit shocked but she tried to understand. "Amber, I don't know if you have time but I would like to go out with you." my eyes got angry. "So, you little bastard, I'll only tell you once leave you and your daughter alone or there will be trouble." The last time I was so upset I realized that she had left me behind. Her eyes shone from something that I had seldom seen, something that showed both joy and affection. "Who was it, K?" she asked straight away. "Mom called home today and dad was totally mad." Tiana muttered in the chair I put her on. "Oh." she didn't seem to know who it was but she wasn't surprised. She crossed her arms over her chest and thought, something that made her cute, I carefully put my arms around her. "I am sorry." I whispered to her. She leaned forward and gave me a slight squeeze, Tiana narrowed her eyes to not see any of it, I pressed a kiss on her forehead and slowly let go of her.
It took a while until someone said something, Kai and Tia sat in front of me while I sorted glasses. "Dad I'm bored." she shifted frantically in her chair. The two whispered what to each other when the door opened. "Hello we are still closed, so I have to ask you to leave." I said without looking at the door. "Doesn't that apply to me, Lily?" I turned and saw Hitomi with some wounds on her face. "Hito what happened to that?" I looked for the first aid kit. "Oh that was just ..." she broke off because she probably didn't want Tia to notice anything. "I'll tell you later." I put her on the braids to help her. "Ey that hurts ..." she managed as I cleaned the wound on my forehead. "If you don't keep still, it will get worse."She had wounds all over the place and now the idea of what could be going on occurred to me, but I didn't dare say anything. "Are you ready?" I nodded and put the box at the end of the bar corner.
Hitomi had decided to stay with us so we wouldn't have to worry about her, which I did anyway. "Go on, Angel." Kai was standing behind me, he knew I cared about her. "Tia and I will take her with us and you will allow the shop." I knew what kind of grumbling that would give but it was right I wanted to know what was going on. "It's good, honey." I kissed him and left.
"What is she up to Kai?" He shrugged his shoulders. "If I only knew Hitomi." he said and looked at Tia. "Come on, let's take your aunt Hitomi with us." he lifted her from her chair. "Yes." she screamed. I had no choice but to go with the cute little mouse, you couldn't refuse anything.
It wasn't far to Hitomi's apartment so I walked the short distance, everything was quiet in the house, which was quite surprising as it was always loud. I took my key to her apartment door and entered the chaos that was in her four walls. "What hit it here?" I closed the door and kept looking around. One of the windows had been smashed and there were clothes everywhere. Her bedroom had been completely taken apart but it wasn't missing what it seemed. A knock on the door almost scared me to death, I walked slowly to the door and opened it.
"Yes." I was thrown with the door backwards so strongly someone threw himself against it. A man about 30 years old stood in front of me and closed the door behind him. "Where is she little one?" I looked at it carefully before answering. "She is not here." I said. He got a scowl that scared me and made me scream. The guy put his hand over my mouth and said. "Shut up or do you want to die?" His gaze went through the apartment because I felt his hand under my skirt.I shuddered, he pulled me up and threw me on the nearby couch. "You know too many little things." he stepped up to me and the door slammed open. It happened so quickly because he was already on the floor, out of sheer fear I took one of the wooden legs from the broken table. "Don't worry, Miss he won't hurt you anymore." the second guy came up to me and took the table leg from me. "Get him out of here." he ordered and then looked at me again. "My name is Kozumi from the criminal investigation department and what's your name." I breathed a sigh of relief. "Amber Fukuma." I got up and wanted to go. "Unfortunately you have to come with me, Amber." that should have been clear to me.
The precinct was strangely almost empty, only a few worked at their desks, I saw it in front of one of the desks to make my statement. When that was done I was released and I was able to go home even though one of the policemen brought me home. There was no one there when I arrived, I said thank you and then went in, got other things and took a shower. When I got out of the bathroom the front door opened and three pretty exhausted looking people came in. "How do you look?" I asked. The three looked at each other and giggled, I raised an eyebrow and then pretended that nothing I liked was the phone ringing. "Yes here at Fukuma." I said and went to the balcony. "Tell me sister, how much space is there in your house?" Marc was on the phone. "Why are you asking Marc?" I gave back. "Because ..." the doorbell rang. With quick steps I went in and looked around the corner, put the phone down and went to the door, Kai was standing in front of her and so I couldn't see anything.
"Oh come on Kai." that voice was Alex's. I pushed my way between the quay and the door, and I was pulled into a hug. “Let go, I can't breathe.” Alex read loosely and I was able to take a deep breath again. "What are you doing here?" I asked and looked at the car where Marc was standing and waved to me."Oh, do you know anyone here ..." he finished and looked at Marc. "... was of the opinion that we should support our sister heart." I looked at Marc who was now on the phone again and then raised an eyebrow. "And that's why you take such a long flight on yourselves?" Kai asked behind me. "Yes and no." he looked at Marc again. "Can we just talk the four of us?" I looked at him but with the best will in the world I couldn't tell what was going on. Kai looked at me as if he wanted to stay out of it, but he added his mustard. "Hm ... what is that supposed to be? I just want to hope that you have something good in mind because if not then God have mercy on you." he said and closed the door behind him. There seemed to be something in the air that I couldn't understand, but it smelled of anger so much was clear. Marc planned to visit us more often and Alex wanted to find something here that he might enjoy, so Alex stayed with us until he had something of his own.
