Chapter 1
Baseball and its consequences
"Attention!" Trunks shouted, throwing the ball with all his might. Goten grinned. "Not an issue. I'll get it!" the boy called back, knocked the ball away with his bat and watched him go. "Wow, it flies well." He stated with satisfaction and grinned at Trunks. When he saw his frightened face, however, he swallowed. Something was wrong. Goten observed the trajectory of the ball and realized that they would have a big problem if the ball kept going. "Come on afterwards!" Trunks called and flew quickly past his best friend. Goten did not have to be told twice and quickly caught up. "My mum will kill us if that hits that house!" said Trunks and complained slightly panicked. Trunks stopped with a jerk. "Great," he muttered and shook his head. The ball had just shot through the window of the office building and had broken it into thousands of pieces. “Maybe she won't notice.” Goten suggested and swallowed. That would be a lot of trouble for him too.
"Trunks Briefs!" came Bulma's voice about 2 hours later. The two of them had run away quickly and were now hanging around in the garden of the Capsel Corparation, hoping that it would not come out that they had smashed a window in a building again. In addition, they had dismantled the window of the office building several times. Trunks winced at his mother's voice and cast a not exactly friendly look at Goten. "Great, apparently people called here and told her," he muttered and sighed. Goten nodded in agreement. "Sounds obvious ..." was all he said and swallowed when he saw the shadow of Bulma. "I spoke to Videl earlier on the phone. She told me there was a new martial arts tournament to take place in two weeks. Then I got a call from Hamasaki-san. He told me that you two were cutting up another window So that means the tournament will be canceled for you! " she said, turned around and went back inside to tell Vegeta about the tournament. The two boys looked at each other in horror. Neither of them knew that there was going to be a new tournament soon and now they had ruined their chance to take part too. Apparently Videl had only recently found out about this and thought she could let me know. But it would probably be announced in the newspapers and on television the next day anyway. "Well, maybe I should go now. My mum will go nuts if she's already found out." Mumbled Goten and Trunks nodded slightly. “Yeah might be best,” he said and said goodbye to his friend. This took off and then flew towards home.
"Vegeta?" Bulma stood in front of a large computer screen that gave her a glimpse into Vegeta his gravity space."Mhm?" was the only thing she got in response. The blue-haired woman sighed slightly. How on earth could she have fallen in love with this man? It was still a mystery to her if she was supposed to be honest. "There will be a tournament in two weeks. I thought that would interest you, you won't hear anything in there anyway." "Another tournament? Where's Trunks?" he asked and Bulma smiled. It was clear. "Trunks won't be in the tournament. You'll have to train alone," Bulma said quickly, then cut the connection. He would confront her later at dinner, she was more than sure of that. The woman slowly went back into the kitchen, picked up the phone and called Chi Chi to inform her that Goten and Trunks had dismantled the third window within 3 days.
"Yes, please?!" Goten's mother answered and Bulma was relieved to have the right one on the phone. "Hey Chi Chi, it's Bulma." "Bulma ?!" Chi Chi sounded surprised at what she wasn't to blame. "What have you done now?" she asked immediately and Bulma sighed. "You smashed the window again. If things continue like this, I'll soon have huge problems. By the way, it would be very good if Goten didn't take part in the tournament either. Trunks definitely won't take part this time." Announced the older of the two and Chi Chi thought for a moment before a sigh could be heard. "Yes, you are probably right. After all, they must slowly but surely understand that they cannot always break everything and then be rewarded for it." The woman admitted and shook her head slightly. "By the way, I plan to drum up the whole group again and then have a barbecue in our garden." Bulma added, marking a day in red on the calendar. “Sounds good.” Chi Chi said and the two of them quickly made an appointment.
