Unter dem Schein des Silbermondes

... werde ich dir sagen, was ich für dich fühle

When even time seems to be silent

Hey ~

here follows the 3rd chapter of this FF, about which I can perhaps announce the somewhat pleasant news that this chapter will not be the last after all. The reason: The content is long (if only by a passage that was not actually planned in this chapter before) and since the last chapter would be too long for me in contrast to the previous two chapters, I will divide it into two.
I hope that most of you like it that way and that no one is disappointed. There's more to read about that. ;)

Have fun while reading. ;)

3. Chapter - When even time seems to be silent

Here, where even the time seemed to be silent in the quiet of the night, it seemed to her as if what at the beginning seemed impossible and impossible, would finally find its fulfillment. The promise that had started everything back then was still with her and she thought about letting it come to an uncertain end. Because she had faith in what had bound them together for so long, even unspoken, and if that wasn't enough ... then she trusted him alone.

She found no one more trustworthy than him, and yet it was so difficult for her. It seemed so unbelievably unreachable to build a conversation, to form sentences that made sense and if so, didn't seem void. Words that took so much courage made her feel so unspeakably weak.

"If you indulge in a moment like this, the desire to dream awakens ..." she mumbled softly, and sank slightly to the side to venture a careless start.

"What ... what are you doing there?", She heard the astonished voice of the surprised Inuhanyo immediately afterwards, felt the amazement and uncertainty that emanated from him shortly after she had gently dropped her head against his left, red-cloaked shoulder.

Kagome closed her eyes in satisfaction.

"Oh Inuyasha ...", she began, "promise me that you will finally be happy. There is no more reason for you to be sad ..."

And it was just then that she felt the gentle touch of a warm hand on the skin of her right cheek. The lids of her brown eyes slid fleetingly from her sight, she was too surprised by the sudden sensation, the gentle pulling in this gesture, which caused her to slowly turn her head to one side. In the depths of the gold-colored eyes that she saw, she discovered a hint of concern.

"Okay ...", the young man's voice rang out and she noticed how he came a little closer with his face to her own, still saw the shimmering sheen of a care in his gaze, the possible reason for which she didn’t want to open up.

"But why are you crying, Kagome?"

"What ...? But I ... I'm not crying ...", Kagome stammered awkwardly, blinking her eyelids a few times uncomprehendingly, until she suddenly felt a single, crystal tear drop from the long lashes of her eyes and innocently onto them soft skin dripped on her cheek. The warmth on her cheek was fading and shortly afterwards, amazed and with a trace of perplexity, the girl stared at the small, shimmering tear that ran down one of Inu Yasha's claws. Embarrassed, she wiped the corners of her eyes with the fingertips of her right hand.

"Kagome ..." said the Inuhanyo's voice.

"Is everything alright with you?"

"Y-yes ... everything is fine. I don't understand myself ..." she tried to calm him down, rubbing her hand over her right eye one more time, had no idea what had suddenly come over her.

She didn't know why she started crying, what made her do it, but now it had happened and she couldn't undo it. Even if she wanted to ...

"Oh ...?", Said the young man and he examined the tiny drop on his claw-like finger with curiosity.

"You know, Kagome ..." he spoke more firmly, with a strength in his voice that surprised the girl a little.

"It's just like you just said. Sometimes I just sit here ... and dream, get lost in my thoughts and memories."

His words made sure that a gentle smile fell on her lips and without losing a thought why she did it and where she got the courage from, the delicate fingers of both hands reached for Inuyasha's. The desire grew in her to be able to offer him something, to give him something as a present, even if there was probably nothing she could do that would come close enough to what he wanted inside him. But she wanted it so badly ...

She wanted him to smile ...

"And what do you dream of in moments like this?", The Inuhanyo winced, slightly taken aback by Kagome's heartfelt gesture, the pleasant, warm sensation that her touch triggered on his skin and looked into the loving eyes of the girl in front of him.

He felt her warm skin on his own, felt how this slight contact made him a little nervous. Out of a strange malaise he turned his head slightly to the side and his gaze sank into the silver-lit darkness of the night.

"I ... I don't know exactly. But it is as if the moments and time pass faster when you lock your mind in hidden refuge ... that's ..."

His gaze became more serious again and he unconsciously shook his head, which contributed to the fact that some shiny silver strands of his long hair danced in front of his face.

"This is ...?" He heard Kagome's soft voice ask, but he shook his head again, which, as he could see when he looked over at her again, made her a little bit concerned.

"Wh ... what ...? Tell me, what have I done wrong again?", The Inuhanyo wanted to defend himself on the spot, feeling hastily sued, as he often does when any of his words annoyed her.

It did not escape him how she continued to look at him for a while, felt unusually restless under her gaze.In his nervousness that was so completely incomprehensible to him, he wanted to move a little further to the side and for a brief moment had focused his attention on the breathtaking spectacle of moving images of silver and blue on the reflective surface of the water at his feet, when he heard it he made a movement to his left.

"And ... and what is ... what is it now?" He stuttered worriedly and even, even if he never wanted to admit it, with a little fear of what might come next.

"Inuyasha ..."

Worried, he stepped back a little from the girl next to him, leaning the palm of his hands behind his back on the hard branch of the tree and leaning backwards.

"W-what ...? Please, whatever I did wrong ... don't start screaming ..." the young man pleaded, leaning on his hands, was about to back away a little with just one movement, which he did instantly became doomed.

An unexpected pull tore at him, his clothes, and he felt himself slide off the thick branch with his right hand while he was already reaching into the empty air around him with the other. Instinctively he moved his right hand through the air, whipped his claws along the cold bark and snatched some tiny, sabered wood shavings from the place where he first clung to this and now the other clawed hand. Also looping his legs around the old wood, he dangled swaying under the branch of the big tree.

"Oh Menno ... what's that supposed to be?" Inuyasha whined and, in his unfavorable position, sent an angry growl afterwards.

"Inuyasha ... are you coming back up?"

"Nah, if I did something wrong, then you can tell me that too.", The Inuhanyo growled and looked up at the lovingly smiling girl who had leaned forward a little on the branch and was looking down at him.

"But you haven't done anything to be mad at you for."

"No ...?" He asked uncertainly.

"If I do say so."

He made several independent sounds before he wrapped himself tighter around the branch with the help of his arms and began to pull himself up on them. When he succeeded, he looked shyly over at Kagome, who was still sitting in the same place.

"I suppose you still want to tell me something, don't you?" He said in a slightly shameful sounding voice.

"Inuyasha ... if you don't mind ..." he heard her say and again, so completely unexpected that he could react properly, he suddenly felt Kagome's closeness as she carefully leaned her head against his shoulder.

Her body was a little cold and he felt the exhaustion emanating from her body as she snuggled up against him and sank close to him. Individual strands of her black hair bobbed around playfully in the air and some of them touched his face, gently tickling his skin. The sweet smell that emanated from her was an unmistakable and pleasant scent for him that his sensitive nose had never experienced before.Even today, after such a long time, he was unable to name him. Jasmine, vanilla, rosewood, almond fragrance or cherry blossom ...

Cannot be put into words ...
