Silence

Chapter 1.

It was a pleasant day, not too hot, not too cold. To be more precise, May 15, 1997. -

That date would be engraved in Makoto's memory. Forever. In addition to the wedding with his loved one, it should be one of the most beautiful days of his life ..

The contractions started, feelings of panic and joy literally overwhelmed him. He quickly helped his wife Akane into the car and drove as fast as possible to Konohas Hospital. He clawed his fingertips into the steering wheel and drove off at full speed, even if driving that fast wasn't allowed - it was an emergency after all! He tried to calm her down: "Honey, we'll be there soon, hold on, the jokes will soon be more bearable." Akane only managed a short moan and nodded to him with a happy smile.

The car pulled into the hospital parking lot and stopped. The father-to-be quickly got out and helped his wife into the sickroom. The first nurse hurried in: "Ms. Ishida, I'll get the doctor and we'll pull it off easily now!" she said with a big smile. You could tell how much she loved her job.

When she came back a few minutes later, the other helpers had everything ready. So we can start!

Makoto ran down his spine, his wife was suffering a lot, you could see that immediately. The staff looked concerned, which made him even more afraid. "Doctor, is something wrong?" He asked in a shaky voice. Instead of the doctor answering himself, the nurse spoke up and asked Ishida to come out with her. He looked at her questioningly "And?"
"Well, how should I put that ..", she began, "Your wife will give birth to a healthy child, that's for sure, but whether she will survive this birth is questionable."

His breath caught. He just looked at her with his mouth open and staring, not blinking, eyes. It turned black. ° Whether she survived this birth is questionable. ° It echoed continuously in his head. Again and again, that sentence wound its way back and forth in his head. He slowly woke up again, he was lying next to his wife, looking at her. Looked at her for a long time, looked to see if her chest fell and rose. Thank God! She lives. The child in her arms, but she was sleeping.

"Akane .." he whispered worriedly. She was pale, frighteningly pale. His arm rose as if by itself and pressed the button that lay over the hospital bed. "Yes?" came a voice from the device. "Please come to room 405! My wife is not doing well .." He only heard her calling the doctor's name and hanging up. His heart pounded on his chest. He gently stroked his weak wife's cheek and kissed her forehead lightly.

The EKG began to beep more and more slowly. The door was opened. Nurses broke the child and the worried young man out of the room. “Please, I want you to go out.” “BUT SHE'S MY WIFE!” He yelled at the doctor. "Listen, please go now, I don't want you to see how painful it is." He became calm and walked out slowly, with an indefinable last look devoted to his wife.He waited impatiently in the waiting room, went to his daughter, looked at her. ° Because of you, .. No, stop Makoto let these thoughts. Akane is not dead. She will live. ° he told himself. Tried to smile at his own flesh and blood, but he didn't quite succeed, it quickly disappeared again. After what felt like 12 hours, the doctor in charge finally came out of the room. The look said it all. He went to him, looked at his father. “I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT.” Desperate, he kicked everything around him and even smashed a wall. She didn't survive. His great love was gone. From one moment to the next, just .. gone. Sadness and hatred came up.

° How can she do this to me .. Leave me here alone? With ... this thing, which is to blame for everything ... °
