The next morning began with a strong thunderstorm that raged outside.
Harry opened his eyes and looked over at his small alarm clock that was not yet activated.
Outside you could hear a loud storm that pressed the rain against the windows.
Osborn used the rest of the time until he had to turn off the alarm clock. Slowly he straightened up to first stretch and then run into the luxury bathroom to freshen up there.
The pajama pants were replaced by black suit pants, and the bare torso was covered with a white shirt with a black suit jacket on top.
After the bathroom visit, we went straight to the vehicle where the driver was waiting to take him to work. The streets were pretty crowded as usual, but that didn't bother anyone as you had gotten used to it. That was a big city what should you expect there?
At work you wondered where Colton was who hadn't even called. When you saw the damaged cell you already suspected something. But there was no trace of Colton and also of the desert sand that was completely gone.
"What happened here? Where is the desert sand? We need it for our research and testing." Dale grimaced when he saw the chaos. The second cell also had a large hole in the wall.
"We can still look at the cameras that will show us everything," a hard-working employee pointed out to his boss.
But they didn't get to that because suddenly the entire board of directors was standing in front of them with Flint Cornway.
"We'll take the pictures, when we've found something we'll announce it," said Flint while the board members nodded in agreement.
"Of course the board of directors has the right to do so," snapped Dale, trying to get across as well as he succeeded.
Why the board was there was not revealed, it probably had its reasons why everyone was completely present.
Harry Osborn didn't hear about the incident. He was neither left nor advised of any messages. His office was also much higher up he had to take the elevator almost to the top, from where you had a wonderful view of the city.
The view showed some buildings such as offices, banks, or normal apartments that were much smaller than the Oscorp Tower, which with its 96 floors was pretty much the tallest building you could see as the next skyscrapers were further away.
"Then let's rummage through the files," said Harry, who first let himself fall into the executive chair.
With his modern computer he could do a few things because he didn't need a mouse - he could run his fingers across the screen to practically replace the mouse. In addition, the keyboard was in the desk that looked very modern.
While Harry looked cheerfully through the files to find things his father hadn't told him, if they were on the computer.
By chance he was able to access a folder where data could be found that revealed a secret area that should be somewhere in this tower. Before he could take a closer look at this, he received a message with access denied.
"What is that supposed to mean? I'm the boss in the tower here," Harry cursed around as he was thrown out of the folder.
"Nah wait I know where to go"
As luck would have it, at the moment Flint walked into the office, which had some stairs behind him.
"Aha exactly the right person. I have a problem with my computer, and I am denied access there," he cursed his counterpart, who took it quite easily.
"Who can do that? Nobody here does that," he said to his boss, who looked at him sternly like yesterday.
"Anyone can do that here, you just have to be familiar with it. And I know who can do this here"
Flint already suspected what that was supposed to mean, and felt that he was being addressed.
"That's ridiculous. I ran up the stairs to show you a file. I don't have to listen to this accusation."
Harry smiled briefly when he heard this and threw something more at his head.
He and Flint had never liked each other, even when Norman Osborn was alive. They tried each other almost every day.
"What about the hidden area that was supposed to be here in the Tower? Did my father know about it?"
"Mister Osborn, I don't know what you have, I don't know anything about a secret area or what you mean. Even if I know every corner of here."
The conversation slowly developed into a real mud fight that slowly got out of hand.
Harry knew that his interlocutor had been hiding something, he had always suspected it.
As if by chance, the two visitors got the uniforms. These were guards who worked in the tower and ensured security there.
"Guards are removing this kid who has no business here," Flint snapped out of the blue as he pointed with his right index finger at Harry.
He was standing in front of his desk and had to smile once before he said something: "You want to throw me out of here? I am your boss Flint Cornway" the cursing words hardly interested Flint because he now showed a document with something shocking on it .
"Flint Cornway will hand over the post of boss. He alone is in charge and from now on directs everything without exception. Signs Norman Osborn ...." Harry no longer understood the world he had to lower his head first before he saw a mistake he overlooked at first.
"It's not my late father's signature, it's a fake!"
"Can you prove that to Harry Osborn?" asked another voice who got out of the elevator, it was a board member who was apparently already informed.
What was going on at that moment? Harry felt a conspiracy as everyone was against him.
"You're fired Harry Osborn. Get him out of here," Flint yelled at the innocent boy who didn't even know what to do about it.
"You won't get away with that. I will finish you off Flint, you can take poison on that" the threat came across quite seriously, which you could tell from the loud voice. While Harry was being brought out of the tower, Flint and the board member looked at the boss's computer.
"We'll finish him off. If we publish the video where he stole our experiment and the one with Colton"
"Will the police see it that way too?"
"Of course, but before we do that we'll finish him off differently"
Harry drove pissed off and angrily downstairs right behind him the two guards who were riding the elevator. The guards clung to him like a burdock. The day started so nicely and ended with a push against the head of Oscorp. But the boy no longer put up with that, at least in his mind a campaign of revenge was planned.
When the elevator stopped on the 30th floor, the three met a person who wanted to ride. Harry took advantage of this to purposely push the person to empty their cup of hot coffee.
The hot coffee stained a guard's suit and enabled Osborn to storm out of the elevator, which shortly thereafter closed again.
"Stop him, he mustn't escape!"
"Take care you idiots!" the escape now had to go quickly so that he was not hit by further surprises.
Osborn ran down a long corridor and soon realized that he had a pursuer behind him who wanted to catch up with him. After a few minutes, the pursuer was happy because he and his colleagues were able to encircle the refugee.
"It's from Mister Osborn, give up and come with us"
"I'm not going to be chased out of here. I'm the boss here and not the cheater Flint"
"Take it easy. You are visibly battered, you better look for someone to take care of you," said a dark-skinned guard to the boy who was already overrun and was held by two guards by the arms so that he could be led away.
The little argument was interrupted by an event that no one had expected. On the floor you could see a trail of sand that suddenly grew bigger and bigger until it formed into a large human shape. The eerie sand figure formed into Colton who was still alive.
"What the hell?" asked a guard while the others also looked amazed from the laundry. The man had mutated into Sandman.
