Fanfic: Aurora Moon

waitress dozed peacefully in front of her. The two dragon guards were absent. Perhaps they were just taking a morning flight across the empire. She woke up just in time to notice that Aurora was walking past her, accompanied by a woman with chocolate brown hair, black-rimmed glasses and plenty of modern clothing. She looked briefly at Elain and then whispered something to the messenger. The waitress rubbed her eyes. "Hm, who was that gray mouse? But not his girlfriend, or ... Well ..." Finally she decided to return to her tavern. Classes were canceled today anyway, she had missed that yesterday. If she was lucky the messenger would stop by again today.Business only really got going here in the evening. Hardly anyone came here in the morning. Elain spends the time cleaning the bar and tables to a high gloss and dusting all corners. But it didn't make her any more awake either. She propped herself up on the counter with her arms and then fell asleep fairly quickly. A bed wouldn't have been bad now.

The time to say goodbye drew near when Erin and Aurora reached the grassy plateau and he opened the gate back to their home. The messengers passed through together. She held Aurora's hand briefly. a moment later they both stood in front of the rock with which Erin seemed to associate many memories. The wintry air was cutting cold. Erin noticed that it was still the dead of night. Apparently the time in Aurora's realm passed much faster than it did here. She hastily released the grip from his hand and looked into his face. "I hope we'll see you again soon." she breathed, shivering slightly. "If fate will, then definitely." Aurora just answered. "You are welcome to come visit me if you like ..." she then added briefly and blushed slightly. "Naturally." he replied, took a short goodbye and stepped through the portal back to his home. Erin looked after him for a moment. She would have loved to go in again but then the light of the gate went out again. She thought she had dreamed it all, but why was she standing out here in the middle of the cold? It was time for her to go home.

On the way she heard strange noises with every step she took. As if snow evaporated from fire. A few seconds later she was shocked to see that only water could be seen in the places where she stepped on with the boots. "Did I run on hot coals or what is going on here?" she thought, amused. Then an idea occurred to her. She picked up a small pile of snow and watched it closely. Within seconds this melted on the inside of her glove. Erin opened her mouth slightly. "What the ... what's wrong with me ...? Hm ..."

Without worrying about it, she went to her home and walked into it. On the way to her room, she found herself careful not to touch anything flammable with her hand and to take as light steps as possible, also so as not to wake her big brother. In front of her bed she stopped briefly and tested whether she could touch it without it catching fire or worse. Fortunately, nothing happened. Reassured, she quickly took off her clothes, slipped under the covers, put her glasses on a small bedside table and closed her eyes. She fell asleep immediately. She secretly hoped to see Aurora again and smiled briefly at the thought of him.
As Erin's day was coming to an end, Auroras was only just beginning. He paid another small visit to his regular tavern "to the dormant dream".He immediately noticed Elain, who was sleeping peacefully at the bar. Nobody was here but she. He sat down and at that moment the waitress woke up. "Oh ... good morning." she greeted him weakly and did not seem to have quite registered when she was there in front of her. Elain blinked briefly, then suddenly from one second to the next she was wide awake and leaned over to him. "Oh ... Hello! Nice to see you." Aurora touched her head. Elain tossed her hair back and winked at him. "So, do you have time today? Could we meet later?" she asked curiously. "Mh ... No. I'm busy. Unfortunately." he gave only a curt answer. Then Elain slumped, almost looking listless. Besides, she took out a white rag and wiped the counter where Aurora was sitting, apparently just to distract herself because there was no dirt to be removed. Then she looked at him pleadingly and tried again. "Really not ...? Come on ..." He said no again. He had never met a woman as affectionate and stubborn as she. no question about it, she was a real beauty, but Aurora had more important things to do than meet pretty ladies. Nevertheless, her spontaneous manner amused him. Elain looked like a pile of misery again because of this renewed refusal. Aurora ignored this as best she could. The black-stubborn woman had apparently long since moved on. Just where? that would have interested him.
After a short time, Erin woke up again and picked up one of her dragon books. While reading she noticed that one page of the book on which she put her hand was a bit blackened and smoked. "What ... not again ..." with a slightly desperate look she looked at the burn that she had caused by her hand, hopefully Aurora could help her repair the book. If she literally set fire to everything she touched, even if it was just by accident, it could become a real problem. she didn't know what it was, but it only seemed to show up intermittently, possibly triggered by feelings or the like. She absolutely had to learn to control this power, otherwise Erin would eventually endanger people. she couldn't cope with that. She was content with simply looking out the window and hoped to see a little dragon named Lyrix. But outside only a huge snowstorm flew around.

Erin sank into her thoughts and dreamed herself to Aurora and into the castle of the dragon queen. her wish had finally come true. But she had the feeling that she had already been there to visit. She felt a strange familiarity with this place. As a child, Erin often played on the big rock and made up stories about dragons and elves. But a gate never opened at that time. Or ... could she just not remember it?Did reality and illusion blur so closely that she could no longer tell apart? It was 4 years ago ... Erin could hardly remember this period of life ... Why only? That mark on her stomach ... where did it come from? Erin's memory had a few gaps. And this she had to fill, refresh her memory. Then maybe something would reveal itself to her that clarified her person. Or destroyed it. But she had to learn the truth about herself. Why she was a legendary messenger, why she heard that voice, where her lost memories have gone since childhood and where her path would actually lead. This was the first time she realized this. That she wasn't just Erin. But she had to take the time to fathom it and decipher everything step by step, like a puzzle. Part by part and then ... the whole picture would emerge. Who she was.
The black-stubborn beauty was just reaching the end of a huge mountain range when she made out something in the distance that made her suspicious. About ten dragons set up a magical blockade on the western border. Her actual goal was the kingdom of fire, but she wanted to get to the bottom of it first and made her way near the event. For a moment the woman waited behind a medium-sized rock to follow the events from the hidden, then she became active and stepped forward to the beings. "What is that good for? Nobody can enter this area through this barrier. You are planning something! Otherwise you would hardly take this measure." called her. The largest of the dragons eyed her disparagingly and replied, slightly attacked: "You are not interested in our affairs and deeds. Away with you!" Reluctantly, she had to pull away. The young woman could not stand up to such a majority. She quickly drew her blade and pointed it toward the creatures, then ran away. The dragons looked after her with angry faces. A moment later they resumed their work. Nobody seemed to know what purpose it was and whose command it was.

While the black-haired woman was on the best way to make all the dragons of the realm her enemies, Aurora was looking for her after he had left the tavern. Much to Elain's chagrin. He wanted to find out more about the mysterious beauty. Since he himself was descended from ancient elves, he suspected a lost species of elves behind her. At the moment he felt her strength in the realm of fire. She moved with amazing speed to the very point where Erin first gained power last night. Aurora waited briefly until she got there, opened a small portal and was transported to the fiery and dangerous place. When he got there he saw her immediately. Her extraordinary clothes were illuminated by the lava and seemed even more strange. She walked slowly around the great lake of fire and examined everything carefully. At the same time, she probably did not notice that he was also very close. The woman let scrutinizing glances wander. Aurora approached her. She looked at him. "Hm, it's you." He nodded. "Yes. What are you doing here?" he asked her. "Yesterday I felt that a tremendous energy was emanating from this point. A huge dome of fire spread over this volcanic mountain in the center of which we are both standing right now. Everyone has probably noticed that. I'm doing research here." she explained to him. Aurora was better off keeping quiet about it. "Hm ... what's your name anyway?" he asked her. "I ... don't know. My memories ..." she admitted. Aurora stepped closer to the beautiful woman and touched her forehead gently with one hand, then he said: "Airin." The woman was amazed. "Yes, it could be ..." Airin said flatly. Aurora had many abilities that were extremely impressive and almost miraculous. They looked at each other briefly, then Airin walked around a little and took a closer look at some rocks. Finally she returned to him and drew her blade. "I want to practice my skills a little. Would you be helpful?" she asked Aurora with a smile. This nodded. “Of course.” He got
