Saria

Strange

She was woken up by Lisa's voice calling for her to get up. Saria climbed out of bed and dressed. Then she went down to the kitchen where Lisa and Nick were already having breakfast. She dropped into the chair with a thump and began to eat. Nick said that he had heard from travelers that they saw more and more soldiers walking along the road. "I'm saying something is brewing up there," Nick said between a few bites. "What?" Wanted
Know Saria. All she knew was that the soldiers were protecting their country from bandits and warriors from other countries. Nick shrugged, and turned his attention back to the eggs. Lisa said to Saria: "You are still too young for that" and smiled. When Saria was finished she helped Lisa with the housekeeping and took care of the vegetable patch behind the house. When she was done, she strolled a little through the city. Lukas had traveled to Lotena today with his father. A city close to the sea. His father was a trader and he wanted to buy some herbs and spices there. So today Saria had to occupy herself alone. She was just walking past a stand with fruit and vegetables when she heard a sudden bang. Towards the end of the street a house collapsed like a house of cards. The people around ran away in a panic, others went to satisfy their curiosity. Then soldiers came running and shooed the crowd and sent everyone home. Saria, however, crept into an alley next to the collapsed house and took shelter behind a few wine barrels, and pricked up her ears. For the first few minutes she didn't understand a word as the soldiers were just shouting orders and were still busy removing people from the scene. But after a while the officer stood near the alley. A soldier came up to him and made a report.
"No injuries, damage is limited to this house, cause still unknown." The officer nodded and dismissed the soldier. Saria crept to the end of the alley and thought deeply on the way home. Lisa did a real handstand right away, because she had heard about it and Saria didn't come home straight away. When Saria had assured her for the umpteenth time that she was fine, Lisa immediately put her to bed. But Saria couldn't fall asleep because she had the feeling that something big was coming, she just couldn't say what. At some point, however, she fell asleep and dreamed of collapsing houses, soldiers and Lisa who called out to her completely angry.
